The Iris Inn

Stayed in a couples cabin, amazing, state of the art, private, and relaxing. The view was out of this world. It has everything you could possible need or want. Breakfast was gourmet and more than we expected. We plan to make this a annual trip. Thank you Dave and Heidi!

My wife and I recently had a three week adventure in Virginia that included four days in the Waynesboro, Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park area. Our choice of Dave and Heidi's wonderful B and B was an excellent one. This is a more modern B&B but we like that occasionally as opposed to historic houses. The inn has very comfortable accommodations and is clean, well decorated, convenient and has an outstanding view. We loved the town of Waynesboro and highly recommend The Green Leaf Grill and Blue Mountain Brew Pub for dining. There are several great wineries in the area including King Family, Veritas, Pollak, Afton Mountain and Barren Ridge. We highly recommend Iris Inn and thank Dave and Heidi for a great stay!!!

Had a very relaxing 3 day weekend in a beautiful mountain setting. Dave and Heidi were very involved with their guests. All questions about the area were answered and suggestions given. Thanks for a great trip. Bob & Carol

My husband and I stayed here and visited several wineries in the area. The rooms and the staff are wonderful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The views of the surrounding mountains from the Inn are spectacular. We got their picnic lunch to take with us while we visited the wineries. They packed a wonderful lunch with lots of goodies in a nice thermal drawstring bag that you get to keep. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the Iris Inn on a Sunday night and it was a wonderful experience. The room was a great size, the view priceless, and the innkeepers were very pleasant. We will stay again if the opportunity arises.

Dear Dave & Heidi, Thank you for making my birthday such a special weekend! You home is lovely -- beautiful views, delicious breakfasts, comfy bed, roaring fireplace, and the hospitality you both share so openly. Since I had seen the Iris Inn website before, it was special to be able to experience it.

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves throughly. The setting is quite inviting and spiritually warm. We did not have a chance to meet Heidi, but did get to meet David. The cabins were that great to stay in. We didn't really need to roam around much. Hopefully, an opportunity will present itself for a future visit.

Thank you Dave & Heidi, you helped make our vacation the best. Great suggestions for things to do and places to eat.

My husband and I stayed in one of the new cabins over the past weekend and words cannot adequately convey how amazing this place is - the setting is beautiful, it is close enough to everything you want to do, but far enough away that you feel such peace. Dave, Heidi, and dog Katie make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The cabins are like adult treehouses – private screened decks looking west for amazing sunsets (including screening under the deck – whoever thought of that is a genius!), welcoming Jacuzzi, comfortable bed, fireplace, TV with Dish Network, a full kitchen and coffee maker, as well as a bathroom with heated floors. The cabins truly are a wonderful, couple-centered retreat. We really didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be back!

My husband and I began our 40th anniversary road trip at The Iris Inn. We were warmly greeted by Dave & Heidi and their border collie Katie. Upon entering the inn, we couldn't help but smell the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that are available at any time of the day...or nite! Our room, the Pine Room is more beautiful & inviting that we could have imagined. We had a spectacular view of the valley and mountains from the porch right out our door. It was a bit chilly so we really didn't get to enjoy sitting on the swing...taking in the vistas...this time! There most definitely will be a next time. We've never experienced such warm hospitality at a bed and breakfast. Pleasant conversation by a warm fire with a glass of wine - it doesn't get much better than that! Breakfast was delicious as well. We highly recommend The Iris Inn!

A perfectly delightful getaway - even on a cool, dreary weekend before anything was in bloom. Would be fabulous late spring, summer and fall. Close enough to Staunton for special dinners. The couples massage was heavenly. The picnic was top of the line. A beautiful lake in the National Forest just down the road. Our hosts were so helpful. Try the cottages for a romantic getaway all year long.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Iris Inn. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and very very comfortable. We loved the main room, and we wished we had built in a little more time during the day to just hang out at the Inn on one of the many decks/patios - the day beds would be a great place to hang out and take in a little nature. Owners Dave and Heidi were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were terrific too. Wonderful experience all around.

My husband and I stayed in the couple's cabin earlier this week. It was spacious with every amenity I could think of, and has and open concept with breathtaking views of the mountains. It is also on the Monticello wine trail, so we had a lot of fun wine tasting. I would recommend to anyone. There are lots of things to do here.

We have had the Iris Inn on our radar for a year because it ticked all our boxes when it comes to amenities that we want in a B&B/Inn. And as of late, the Inn just received the acceptance of the Select Registry, a group that vets inns and B&Bs for membership which are the “cream of the crop”. As an avid user of that website, along with the reviews on TA and we have not been disappointed with the choices we made and the Iris Inn exceeded our expectation! We stayed for 2 nights on a March weekend in one of their new couples Cabins/Tree Houses and LOVED every moment. We were given a code for the cabin door so when we arrived we could just go in and drop off our luggage and then go to the Inn to let them know we had arrived. The Inn is spectacular with soaring vaulted ceilings, up stairs library, out door balcony and a third floor balcony – which all are facing beautiful views of Virginia countryside. We had cookies (from the bottomless cookie jar) and met the Inn’s famous greeter “Katie” the dog. We had wine with the owners, Dave and Heidi and met the nicest people who were also staying at the Inn. As for the cabin – I would have to call it a Tree House – it was the nicest room we ever stayed in at a B&B/Inn. It had a fridge, dishwasher, sink, dishes and glasses, table and chairs, gas fireplace, 3DHGTV (3-D and special glasses for viewing),DirectTV, recliner love seat, power blinds for the wall of window, hardwood floors, cedar ceiling, screened in porch with hot tub, heated bathroom floors, double vanities, water closet with pocket door, two person shower with rain shower, WiFi , king size platform bed with luxury linens and a washer and a dryer. Oh, I forgot the view – OMG – day or night it was fabulous! All this and a wonderful breakfast to boot!

We stayed the weekend in February at one of the new cabins! Open to the woods and view, yet totally private and cozy for two. Beautifully appointed! A wonderful place to relax and get away. You can truly have contact with no others if you choose-upon reservation you will receive a code that will get you in so there is no check in upon arrival. The hosts are exceedingly gracious and responsive, even though we had minimal contact! Gas fireplace, TV, DVD player, stove, microwave, fridge, rainshower, bath with heated floors, private outdoor jacuzzi on private back porch. Close to the Appalachian Trail as well as lots of great restaurants. We dined in Waynesboro and Staunton. Breakfast not part of cabin stay. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I just enjoyed the new couples cabin at the Iris Inn. Wow! They are beautiful and afforded us a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The hot tub on a private patio was perfect along with the heated tile floor in the bathroom. We enjoyed the option to cook in the kitchen or eat out at local restaurants.. Thanks for the perfect get-away!

My wife and I are from the DC area, and we just wanted to get away from the city for a few days this Valentine's Day week. Her & I have never stayed in a B&B before, and have never been to the Shenandoah Valley area either, so our expectations were pretty minimal...but, man, did the Iris Inn deliver!! The owners, Dave and Heidi, were tremendously nice and accommodating and they really made us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the room (we stayed in the Wildflower Room) was so spacious and so cozy! We took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is only 3 miles south of the Inn, and the scenery was just amazing! The town of Staunton (about 9 miles north) was a nice, quaint little place with an EXCELLENT restaurant that Dave & Heidi personally recommended...Mill St. Grill. The room price was a little steep, but is WELL worth the quiet, comfortable experience you get that would never happen in a hotel.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Iris Inn for my birthday over the New Year's holiday. Heidi and Dave were immensely pleasurable and very friendly. I stayed in one of the suites adjacent to the main house and was absolutely stunned by the spaciousness and serenity it offered. The suite had two floors, each with a king-sized bed. There was a gas fireplace, TV with a large cable package, and a jacuzzi tub that made for a remarkably relaxing stay. The amenities were spectacular, and the rooms kept neat and clean. Dave and Heidi were more than helpful in locating activities in the surrounding area, and had great recommendations for local vineyards to visit. They were more than happy to keep up friendly conversation or let you find your own solace. Breakfast was served during the nine o'clock hour in the main hall, and it was delicious. Home-cooked poached eggs with a béchamel sauce, with hot coffee and fresh oranges. Newspapers were provided for those looking for some light reading, otherwise the conversation was cheerful and bright. I would definitely come back out to The Iris Inn for a weekend away from the city. The views over the Blue Ridge mountains were enticing and awe-inspiring. A lovely operation worth every bit of praise!

The Inn was beautiful and the innkeepers were gracious and helpful. We went at Christmas time and found that the decorations and snowy weather really added to the atmosphere. The breakfast was just average, however. We were particularly turned off by the selection of corned beef hash for the meal because it didn't fit in well with the other items that were served. We also found that the smell of the corned beef cooking overnight kept us awake!

The kind of hospitality you extended still lingers in our minds.

My nusband & I just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at the Iris Inn. Our room was a wonderful suite, ajacent to the main house. The Garden Path room, which was very private, very large & very nicely furnished. The wrap around deck provided views of the Shenandoah Valley. King sized bed with luxury high thread count linens; very comfortable matress. There was also a large 2 person jacuzzi and separate shower as well. We also enjoyed the gas logs in the fireplace at night.There was also a refrigerator,microwave, coffee maker in the suite & a large dining table. The refrigerator was filled daily with soft drinks & water daily & snacks in the room. The main house was very lovely & we had a nice 3 course breakfast breakfast daily. There was also coffee & tea & hot chocolate available at all times & a never ending chocolate chip cookie jar We were so glad we stayed outside Charlottesville in a nice quiet location. Any room at this wonderful B&B will be a treat for anyone. We took a peek at the new cabins that will soon be available; the are awesome! We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area! Dave & Heidi were great!

Pull off the highway and drive a short way up the hill, and this Inn will come at you out of nowhere. A remarkable, light-drenched estate tucked away from everything. The views, be it day, night, or in the fog, are outstanding and alone worth the stay. Each room is exceptional - with ample space, views, porch access, and serenity-inducing warmth. Equally splendid are the public areas and foyers, perfect for late evening games or reads. In all the right ways, one feels like one is in a mansion. Dave and Heidi are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They provided us with reasonable hikes for the time and effort we looked to expend, dinner recommendations, and vineyards for the days ahead. The inn offers free wine tasting and home-baked cookies as you like. While the rates are certainly not a steal (~$189/night fall of 2012), you do get a great stay for what you do pay for. We are looking forward to the opening of the private cabins on the cliff's edge. It looks to be remarkable! Would definitely return.

We stopped here on our way south and were very pleased with our accomodatons. Dave and Heidi made us feel rigt at home, were very available. Room and amenities were excellent. litle pricey, but we would stay there again and recommend to anyone going tothe Charlottesville area.

First time for us.using a bed and breakfast for two nights. We had a great time. Didn't want to leave.

Fantastic! The people, the place, the view. the warmth of entire place transends anything you can imagine. From the valley views in the front, to the deck out back over the forest, to the tall tall ceiling, everything is wonderful. It rates as a place to do again!

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others... cannot keep it from themselves!

Fantastic place to stay. Breakfast every morning was great, the owners were always very friendly and happy to talk or serve up a glass of wine or fresh cookies. We stayed in the Hawk's Nest suite, the hot tub on the private deck was wonderful. Beautiful views. They're currently building several private cabins right on the side of the mountain that will have amazing views as well. Can't wait to go back.

We rented the Hawk's Nest suite for two nights as a getaway. Dave and Heidi were fabulous, were expecting us when we arrived and were sincerely pleased to meet us; we immediately felt like family. THe room was spacious and net with everything we could need or want, including a hot tub on the balcony and spectacular views. Breakfast was first rate both mornings and we wound up sharing the recipe for the apple stuffed french toast; it's that kind of place. Porch swings are a great way to watch the sunset with a glass of wine and there must be 20 vineyards within a 20 minute drive. We will definitely be back particularly to see the 6 new suites being built. They are going to be spectacular!

My husband and I spent two nights at this wonderful B&B in the Shenandoah Valley. The Inn surpassed our expectations, our room was spacious and nicely appointed. Dave and Heidi are gracious hosts and Heidi makes a delicious breakfast! We would definately stay here again!

We stayed for five nights while we toured this part of Virginia. Dave and Heidi were gracious hosts, the breakfasts were great,and our accomadations were excellent. The view of the Shenandoa Valley from their front porch is breathtaking.

The wife and I recently visited for the second time, and we could not have been happier with our accommodations or the service. The Lanfords truly enjoy running a B&B and it shows in every detail of their property. We'll be back soon to try out the newly installed cabins with hot tubs!

We booked the Hawks Nest Suite at the Inn to spend a night prior to taken the right north on Skyline Drive, which is only a few miles from the Inn making it very convenient to drive on either Skyline Drive or Blue Ridge Parkway. As we approached going east on I-64 just passed I-81 the Inn pops unmistakably out of the side of the mountain indicating that the next exit is the right one. Once we entered the property and drove up the upgrade drive the Inn appeared on our right like a resort spa. We met Dave just inside the main doorway and realized immediately that this guy was doing what he loves. After explaining the amenities he then showed us to our Suite and left us with "if their is anything you need, please call". We unpacked and drove towards Staunton and had a nice dinner before returning to the Inn. By then it was past dusk, and the entire valley was lit up in lights for a great vista. We spent the rest of the evening by sharing a bottle of excellent Amarone Valpolicella and watching the big screen. I'm not sure what woke me up at 4:30 am (actually I do) but I decided to enjoy the hot tub out on the back deck (very private) so I woke up the better half, and that's what we did. The stars were out in abundance making it a very romantic setting. Breakfast is served in the beautiful lounge/dining area (again by Dave himself) and prepared by his wife Heidi. The food was excellent, the hosts were great, the view was awesome, and the room was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a great experience.

Wonderful B&B and we have been to almost 20. Inn is beautiful, spotless, breakfasts are delicious and the linens are spectacular. The sheets are so luxurious we ordered a set for ourselves before leaving the inn ! Inn keepers, Dave & Heidi are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area .We stayed in the Pine room (2nd floor) that has a wonderful balcony with a swing overlooking the mountains. The sunset view with a glass of wine in the evening was spectacular. Wineries and beautiful parks are numerous in the area. We can't wait to return to see the other seasons!

Hi Dave and Heidi, Just wanted to let you know how much everyone enjoyed their stay at the Iris Inn this past weekend. Stephanie has informed me that Hoang fell in love with the place and Heidi's cooking. I think they may be coming back for a stay someday as Hoang was on the internet looking at your webpage. Patsy, Pat's daughter, said she was spoiled and wanted to know who would prepare breakfast for her once she got home. Everyone made it back home safely and e-mails were going back and forth regarding how much fun the weekend had been. I'm glad you were able to put up with our little gang. We did tend to get a little noisy with our laughter.

Dave and Heidi meet you at the door, get you checked in and show you your room. Cookies in the jar await for your tasting. Dave can fill you in on local places for dinner. You can enjoy a bottle of wine on the deck at night while you enjoy the evening stars. Sleep in a great bed, and start the day with one of Heidi's terrific breakfasts. Dave can provide information on local sites and Heidi can prepare a great picnic lunch, when asked. Great place to recharge your batteries. I go there once or twice a year with my sister or family members.

My wife and I had an awesome anniversary weekend at the Iris Inn. Dave and Heidi were great. We left totally relaxed and very full! The breakfast was wonderful. We would highly recommend the Iris Inn to everyone.

What a quiet and relaxing weekend. After months marked by a busy schedule, an anniversary get-away to Iris Inn was the perfect answer. Thanks to Dave and Heidi for welcoming us and serving us. You have a beautiful inn!

Perched in the mountains, this inn offered a breathtaking view of the sunset since we had a western facing room. We have stayed at many bed and breakfast inns but this room is the largest we ever experienced. Huge king sized bed and an airy deck to relax on and enjoy the view. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of fresh fruit and large portions of homemade cooking. The fresh baked cookies throughout the day were delicious. Dave and Heidi are terrific hosts and knowlegeable about the local area. Dave directed us on some good hiking trails and made excellent recommendations for local resteraunts. There is plent to occupy the outdoorsman in all of us, plenty of hiking and a short drive to Montecello. If you enjoy bed and breakfast, this place will not disappoint and is even nicer than the photographs show.

We were welcomed by Dave, Heidi and Katie (border collie) into a living space that was both elegant and comfortable. The food was excellent and the hospitality was outstanding. We loved the wrap around porches. The rooms were very much over-sized and well appointed. The beds were beyond comfortable - we didn't want to get up. The evening meet and greet with other guests was a special touch and they served excellent wines (no additional cost to the guests). They genuinely love what they do and it shows. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked a return stay!

My husband and I needed a few days away in the summer from our busy life in Washington, DC, so we booked a stay at the Iris Inn. We also purchased the Wine Therapy package, which included tickets to local vineyard Veritas' Starry Nights, an event that includes a concert and dinner (available for purchase) and wine (available for purchase) outside. Unfortunately, it rained during the concert so we left early, but the rest of our stay at the Iris Inn was amazing. The room was huge and had a door to the outdoor porch (we were on the second floor) where there were porch swings, a hammock, and chairs to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. It was very peaceful and serene. As part of the package, we also did wine tasting at nearby vineyards (we went to 5 in one day), and later, Heidi cooked dinner for us, which was delicious. The final part of the package (my favorite) was dessert and wine pairings. The desserts were amazing, and they even accommodated dietary restrictions. We also did hiking at nearby Shenandoah National Park the next day and went to Staunton for dinner before leaving the next morning. Overall, it was a terrific trip and I enjoyed the wine package as well. Heidi and Dave are extremely welcoming but not overbearing, and their dog, Katie, was an added benefit because we love dogs. The inn is truly beautiful and in a great location with great views and lots to do in the area. I highly recommend the Iris Inn!

Congenial innkeepers, incredible breakfast, beautiful facility nestled in the Shenandoah mtns convenient to national historic areas as well as award winning wineries. Sit in the porch swing and watch the sun go down over the mts, have a glass of wine, watch Katie "herd" the chairs in the great room. Doesn't get any better than this!

Came here for an early summer weekend getaway with my wife and it was fantastic. Room was spatious and clean, with complimentary drinks in the minifridge and an awesome bathroom with a whirlpool. Our room was on the second floor and opened up right to the porch, which had great seating and an incredible view of the valley. Breakfast was homemade, served each morning, and was delicious. Owners Dave and Heidi were real friendly and knew a lot about the area. Great access to hiking in the Shenandoah/Blue Ridge ranges. There's a great shakespeare theatre the next town over. Would absolutely come again (and probably will soon).

We spent three nights at the Iris inn as part of an anniversary trip. The owners, Dave and Heidi, were gracious hosts greeting us each day as we returned to the inn and offering us a glass of wine. Dave was ready with information including maps for the activities we were interested in from exploring caverns and waterfalls to visiting vineyards. They had great recommendations when asked about specific restaurants, etc. I prearranged for a massage which was wonderful. We stayed in two different rooms. Both were huge. They were accommodating to any dietary needs for breakfast, which were good and well balanced. One afternoon we arranged for a packed lunch and were delighted with what we found in the backpack. We enjoyed lounging in the sitting area/library at the top of the stairs and on the front balcony. We also enjoyed playing ball with Katie, the owners Border Collie. It was a very peaceful relaxing stay.

My boyfriend and I just came back from the most amazing stay at the Iris Inn. I had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast but am inclined to use them from now on in the future if they are anything like Dave and Heidi's place. The view, even with the construction, was gorgeous. The wine and cookies were a nice treat shortly after we checked in, the breakfast was simply amazing, but more importantly, the hospitality that Dave, Heidi, and their dog Katie showed us was second to none. Heidi even saw us looking at a hiking guide at breakfast and proceeded to tell us about Blackstone Trailhead Summit. We took her advice and hiked to the top to be greeted by 360 degree views of the valley. I would recommend this Inn to anyone interested in a peaceful and scenic get-away!

This was our first Bed and Breakfast and we went to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary. It was absolutely excellent! Everything was more than expected, from the cake, cheese tray and wine waiting for us in our room, to the picnic lunch that was prepared for us. The cookie jar always had delicious chocolate chip cookies in it! The owners catered to our every want or need without hesitation. They lodge is great, everything was clean and organized and the breakfasts were delicious! Heidi and Dave are great hosts, and Katie is a very impressive dog! We never realized how much stuff there was to do in the Charlottesville - Waynesboro area. We honestly ran out of time, there was much more that we wanted to do. Excellent little BnB. Stayed for two nights for a honeymoon. Nice isolated location. Rooms were spacious and luxurious. Would love to stay there again.

This trip in early January was our second stay at the Iris Inn. So we knew we were in for a treat. The tub and shower in the Wildflower room were fabulous. Staying on the second floor creates the feeling of being in a very luxurious tree house. Highly recommend this Inn.

We went to the Iris Inn to celebrate New Years eve/day and had a blast! (I had wanted to go for months!!) The suite we stayed in was fantastic, clean, comfy and super spacious! Dave & Heidi, the innkeepers, were the most friendly, caring and down to earth people you will ever meet! It was almost like being in a nicer version of your own home with family there too! haha - I can say that we will most definitly be coming again! (and just wait until you try the daily prepared breakfasts!)

This is my favorite B&B! Try adding in a massage while you are there. And the picnic basket lunch is also wonderful!

Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights in the Deep Woods Suite this weekend (just got home today.) It is completely surrounded by woods and is very private. The room is very spacious and even has an extra bed upstairs. You share the upstairs deck with your neighbor, but the downstairs deck is private to you. The innkeepers, Dave and Heidi, are extremely friendly. Breakfast was a delicious homemade buffet, served between 8-9am every morning, and their family all helps to serve you. It's exactly what we were looking for to escape the city. Great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We drove a half hour out to visit Monticello and then shopped and dined around downtown Charlottesville. There are many wineries nearby, as well. As soon as the sun started to set we drove right back to the comfort of the B&B, where you can watch the sun set from the lookout deck they have at the main house and then snuggle up by the fireplace in our suite afterwards. They do have DISH network there, but you cannot purchase any (newer) movies. I recommend bringing DVDs to watch or a good book to read, games to play. There was plenty of older movies and TV shows available to watch. We were able to bring Thanksgiving leftovers with us to keep in the fridge there and the kitchen was stocked with silverware and dishes to use. Absolutely cozy little place. I definitely recommend and will be coming back again!! Thank you, Dave and Heidi!

My wife and I had a great time at the Iris Inn. We have already booked for next year. This was our first time there and it was a pleasant surprise. The Inn is in good shape with all the modern amenities. Heidi and Dave and the staff were engaging without being obtrusive. I wasn't sure about the buffet breakfast - but it was great given our different eating tastes and quantities. Looking forward to seeing the new cabin project when it is done. Enjoy your trip.

This was our first B&B experience and my husband and I were not quite sure how it was going to go...literally the first morning I put my husband on a Recon mission to figure out how we go about getting breakfast..:) It couldn't have been easier or much more delicious. Every morning breakfast was served next to a 3 story fireplace that over looked the mountains and I have to say I loved not having a choice of what to eat and just being served deliciousness on a plate! The staff was so friendly and rooms were clean, updated and romantic and the location was incredibly convenient to plenty of wineries, beautiful drives and trails…We will definitely be going back!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Iris Inn. Dave and Heidi made us feel like we were at home and everything was amazing. The hospitality, accommodations and food were top notch. We are already planning at trip back. Thanks so much for a wonderful anniversary weekend!

My husband and I were passing through on our way to Columbia SC. We only stayed one night at the Iris Inn but are already planning a trip to go back with friends! Dave and Heidi were very friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the Inn. Can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Iris Inn Bed and Breakfast. The owners were extremely nice and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They provided us with maps, tips, advice, and chatted with us while we enjoyed our stay. They also provided free wine at night for people to relax! We stayed in the Pine room which faces a beautiful view of trees. It also has a porch where you can sit and enjoy the view. The room was spotless, big, clean and a perfect pick for us to enjoy our get-a-way in. We went hiking and got a picnic lunch. We received an insulated small backpack with more food than we could ever eat for lunch! The sandwiches were delicious as were the other items. It was a great value for the cost. The only thing that could use improvement was the breakfast. At other bed and breakfasts we have stayed at the food was a little bit more upscale. When we go to a bed and breakfast we are expecting a big nice breakfast with a few options. The breakfast at the Iris Inn wasn't "bad" by any means, but it wasn't what you would expect from a bed and breakfast. It was something you would expect to get at a local restaurant without any extras or sophistication. I think it's important and a good selling point to really step up your game with the breakfast portion and make something that is better than I could get at IHOP or make at home for myself. Overall, this B&B was great and we would certainly stay there again! The hospitality you will receive is perfect. You will feel right at home.

We are always looking for ways to improve our Inn and we appreciate your comments as they will make the Iris Inn an even better place to stay. I understand that you feel we need to step up our breakfast game by taking our available options to the next level of sophistication. Some of our most repeated and requested breakfast menu items are: Cranberry Scones, Apple Stuffed French Toast, Greek Frittata, Savory Strata, Green Chili Egg Puffs, Apple Sausage Ring, and Pumpkin Pancakes. Occasionally, we serve a simpler breakfast, such as fresh strawberries, bacon, scrambled eggs and Belgium Waffles. This is particularly true if we are serving a large number of guests, or we have limited staff on hand that morning. Nevertheless, we understand that breakfast for every guest should be something you would not fix for yourself at home. We will work to ensure that regardless of our staffing level, each and every breakfast is truly memorable.

After riding my motorcycle down from NJ with the last 105 miles on Skyline Dr, all I needed was a place to rest. I got much more than that at the Iris Inn. Dave and Heidi were the perfect greeting and not only did I sleep well, but enjoyed every bite of my delicious breakfast before rolling out again.

Outstanding location near wineries, numerous attractons, with a stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Friendly, fun, gracious hosts served delicious, hot, tasty breakfasts in their lovely, beautifully decorated greatroom. And who wouldn't be tempted by the fresh daily warm chocolate chip cookies? we had a terrific time in an incredible room. the breakfast is some of the best i've ever had, and the location makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. the keepers are what really put the inn over the top. they are very fun to stay with.

My family and I had a terrific time at the Iris Inn! We stayed in the Garden Path Suite, which was clean, spacious, and lovely. It was very nice to have the open common space in the down stairs and on the deck. Dave & Heidi were also terrific - very nice and accommodating. Thanks!

The Iris Inn is a lovely B&B in the perfect location for exploring the Shenandoah or for joining the Blue Ridge Parkway at its northernmost end. Dave and Heidi are generous and friendly hosts who go out of their way to make your stay just perfect. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious. When we arrived after our long drive, a glass of wine was waiting for us in the lovely lounge area. I would certainly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Spectacular is the only word I can use to describe this B&B! Dave & Heidi were so kind & attentive to our every need! Their border collie, Katie, was a joy! Breakfast was delicious, beautifully prepared & presented! They upgraded us to the Garden Path Suite, free of charge, because another couple who reserved the Pine Room earlier in the week decided to stay longer! I stayed at the Iris Inn for one night on a business trip. It was a perfect place to stay. The atmosphere was so relaxing and Heidi and Dave make you feel like you are part of a family. I didn't want to leave and will definitely stay there again.

Perfect hosts, perfect atmosphere, perfect remove from busy streets. My seven-day stay in the Duck Room gave me much delight. The one squeak in the floor added to the charm. Iris Inn sits high on a forested mountainside and overlooks the Shenandoah Valley. The perfection of this place faded a bit when I noticed a number of trees out front had been topped off to enhance the view. About 25 miles east of the Iris Inn is Charlottesville, home to Thomas Jefferson's University of Virginia. The downtown, open-street mall is the main draw for visitors. Jefferson's Monticello sits just south of the city and is open to the public. To the west of the Iris Inn, about 22 miles, is Staunton (pronounced Stanton). There you'll find five National Historic Districts, the Blackfriars Playhouse (a reproduction of Shakespeare's indoor theatre), and the Woodrow Wilson presidential library and museum. Take lunch or dinner any day of the week at the Depot Grille. Or take dinner any day of the week at the Mill Street Grill (brunch on Sundays).

Roomy, very comfortable bed with good pillows; air conditioning was even and quiet. Touches like home-made chocolate chip cookies awaited us on our arrival. Wine in the evening, and cooked-to-order breakfast in the morning. Excellent place to stay and unwind.

My sister and I have taken several "sister trips" to the Iris Inn and love it. My daughter and I recently spent a weekend there and she is planning a return trip next year. Dave and Heidi are great. The food is great, the rooms are great, so clean and relaxing. One year I returned three times. It's very peaceful and relaxing. You can visit the surroundings sites, homes of three presidents, vineyards, the Blue Ridge, or relax on the deck with a good book and a glass of wine. A great getaway place. Several of my coworkers have also made the trip, based on my personal expiernces and are planning return trips as well. We are having a family reunion in May and have already booked the rooms. My sister and I will do another "sister trip" in September 2012. You just have to spend a weekend there!

If you like to take day trips from a central location, this is a perfect hub for exploring the Blue Ridge and the Shenandoah. Just off I-64 and minutes away from the access point for both the Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkways, you can enjoy spectacular scenery and history in all directions. Dave and Heidi took excellent care of us throughout our stay. Our room, Wildflower, was quiet, comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. We enjoyed relaxing at sunset in a swing on the expansive deck outside our room. Breakfast is superb. The Lanfords do everything they can to meet any special dietary requirements you might have. As so many of these reviews state, you really feel welcome at the inn, and that's a direct consequence of the pride that the Lanfords take in making you feel at home. We are already planning to return next year.

Pleasant location near with plenty of dining choices and activities nearby. Our room was beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable. Dave and Heidi were expert at making you feel at home without being intrusive. Heidi's breakfasts were exquisite and different every morning. Good coffee in the morning. Places to sit and read or just quietly relax. Worth every penny and more.

I can't say enough about the generosity of Dave and Heidi (owners of the Inn). A wedding venue that we had booked at Lake Anna a year ago for our daughter was unexpectedly canceled about 6 weeks before the wedding. Dave and Heidi worked with us to make sure our daughter and now son-in-law had a wonderful and memorable event. The food was delicious, the environment was inviting and the rooms were extraordinary. Thank you Dave and Heidi - we look forward to our many stays in the future.

My family stayed at the inn while in the area for our daughter's college graduation. Instead of fighting the crowds of families in Charlottesville, we had peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. There was wild mountain laurel blooming all around the inn. Dave and Heidi Lanford went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including pastries for the road when we had to leave before breakfast to beat the crowd to graduation. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. We can't wait to visit again, maybe in the fall when the leaves,and the view, should be even more spectacular.

Our extended family (party of 8) stayed here for our son's graduation from UVA. The setting is relaxing and quiet, the rooms are all updated and spacious, the lounge/lobby is conducive to sitting and talking, the wrap around porch is fantastic, and the views are wonderful. Additionally breakfasts were great and the special dinner that Dave and Heidi catered in for us was top notch. Heidi and Dave are wonderful hosts and take obvious pride in their B&B!

It was wonderful so relaxing. the owners were so friendly. We love going there every year. We have one room we book every year. If you have not been there you need to go. We recommend it to everyone. Everyone we know that has been there loves it. The breakfasts are wonderful. they also pack a great picnic lunch if you ask for one. I can not say enough.

My wife and I spent our 11th Anniversary at the Iris Inn! It was the perfect choice. We had tremendous privacy in the Deep Woods Suite. Dave and Heidi Lanford are tremendously cordial and make you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. We definitely will be staying at the Iris Inn again in the near future!

Dave and Heidi were wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. The entire Inn was immaculately kept. Breakfast was delicious!! The glass of wine in the evening from "Dave's Wine Bar" was another wonderful touch. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The view from our room and porch was amazing. The location, near so many wineries, historic spots and the ever beautiful Blue Ridge mountains, was perfect. From the GIGANTIC jacuzzi in the immaculate bathroom to the beautiful view overlooking Waynesboro at night, the Iris Inn is the perfect getaway for couples, friends, or families. There are hammocks, swings, rockers and chairs for patrons to relax and enjoy the serenity and peace of this Shenandoah Valley hideaway! The innkeepers are kind, helpful, and endearing, making an already marvelous stay even better! Our suite (and our entire stay) were beyond compare, and I highly reccommend this establishment for anyone looking for an opportunity to de-stress and recharge!

We stumbled on this place on my phone and oh my gosh were we blessed! The Lanfords were such great people and so charming! As soon as you walk in you just relax. Light music is playing, fire place is burning, and the entire place smells like fresh baked cookies! So beautiful too. The room we stayed in was so comfortable and nice and the bed, oh the bed.. so comfortable! Breakfast was great and the other couples we met were so nice. This place is tucked hidden away on top of a mountain and theres swings, hammocks, different level decks to view the shenadoah valley. This really made our first anniversary memorable and we will definatley return again and again. Trust us you go to this place and you will not be dissapointed! The price is so great as well! We have stayed at the Iris Inn many times and we have stayed at many B&B's around Virginia and the Iris Inn has set a very high bar and have yet to find any other B&B that comes close to the experience we have staying here. Dave and Heidi treat you like family and we love it. We can not leave out Katie the Border Collie who has been called the Iris Inn Embassador and its fitting. I would highly, highly recommend you to stay you will not be disappointed!

Before we arrived, and from the internet pictures alone , I knew we would love this place and indeed we did. Everything was even better than I imagined. The setting in the woods is peaceful. The inn is beautiful, extremely well cared for, excellent hosts who are so warm and friendly, they immediately feel like family, food that is sooooo good and a bed and room that were so comfortable, we could not have wanted for anything more. It is an excellent value and the best part is we are going back as soon as we can get several days off again. These folks are the quintessential B&B hosts. We could not have had a better stay at any place I could imagine even in my dreams. Thanks for a job well done, Dave and Heidi!

We just concluded a 3 day stay and the Iris Inn and Dave and Heidi made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived until our departure. We had a couples massage in our room and a private wine dinner for about 25 at the Inn and they did a fantastic job. We can't wait to go back.

I keep coming back to the Iris Inn (and always try to bring others with me), because EVERYTHING is wonderful. Dave and Heidi do such a wonderful job making us feel welcome, and I can NOT say enough about just HOW COMFORTABLE the beds are! You will simply love the area, the Inn, the rooms, the breakfast - everything. It was hard to even want to leave just to check out the vineyards... the Inn was so comfortable I didn't want to leave.

From the moment we arrived until we left our hosts were welcoming and helpful(including the very well trained dog Katie). The inn rooms are spacious and comfortable and in a great location for hiking or visiting the outdoors. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were always available to offer suggestions for acitivities and dining. We will return.

This gift was very much a surprise to us and we were both very excited about staying there. Our stay at the Iris Inn far exceeded our expectations. The Inn has a lodge-like atmosphere that is very warm and inviting. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The innkeepers were delightful and they made our stay very comfortable. Although we are local to the inn we felt we were miles away from our home. We encourage anyone, local or visiting from afar to experience the hospitality of the Lanfords and the beauty of the Iris Inn.

incredible meals. the best i've ever had. humongous breakfast and everything is great. they also offer specials sometimes that allow you to have dinner, too. this is highly recommended, since everything produced by that kitchen is amazing.

My fiance' and I stayed here recently for a weekend get-away. We snowboarded all day and relaxed at the inn all night. It was perfect! Dave & Heidi are very friendly. They always go the "extra mile" to make sure you are happy... breakfast is always delicious, and at night the cookies are yummy!!! We highly recommend!

I have stayed at the Iris Inn several times and would highly recommend it. The inkeepers are very personable and service is excellent. They even know how I like my eggs, and are flexible as to breakfast times. The rooms are significantly larger than chain hotels and nicely furnished. Each room has a different theme; all have direct access to the porches. This inn is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, and numerous wineries. It is my first choice in the central VA area.

My wife well-behaved 6-year old son and I wanted a quick one-night getaway from Richmond, in the mountains. My wife and I had stayed at the Iris Inn once before, under previous owners, and had liked it. I don't think they generally allow young children, but they let us bring our son so long as we stayed in the slightly more expensive Hawks' Nest Suite, which is in a separate building away from most of the other rooms. We were willing to do this, and as it turns out it worked well. The suite was comfortably furnished, with a small, reasonably well-equipped kitchenette. We economized by fixing our own dinner (microwave lasagna with oven toast -- modest but tasty). The suite also comes with its own private hot tub, which was very pleasant after a hard day of hiking in the mountains. The breakfast they served was good -- Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, and fruit. The new owners were friendly and courteous. The Inn itself is very pretty. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to friends.

The Iris Inn is absolutely beautiful but it is also cozy and comfortable because of the gracious and welcoming nature of the owners, Dave and Heidi. Our room was spectacular and the jaccuzi tub to die for. I would recommend a stay at the Iris Inn to anyone coming into town or locals, like myself, looking to get away!

We stayed in the Hawk's Nest suite. We enjoyed the hottub on the deck. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were very pleasant and we enjoyed talking to them. We would stay here again.

My husband and I were married over a weekend at the Iris Inn. The Innkeepers, Dave and Heidi, were wonderful! They made our special weekend unforgettable - we can't wait to join them at the Iris Inn again soon. The suite was beautiful and spacious - we instantly felt welcome and relaxed. The Inn is nestled in the mountains and the scenery and views are absolutely spectacular.

After our original B&B was double-booked, and with only a month before the wedding (on UVA's Homecoming Weekend), I found the Iris Inn online and snapped up the Garden Path Suite. It was the best result to a last minute snafu - Dave and Heidi are lovely people, the suite was enchanting (I loved looking for all of the woodland creatures the artist painted around the room) and the food was extraordinary. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

My husband and I recently stayed in the Garden Path suite. The well-appointed room was wonderful - large with a wraparound patio. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was full of windows, out of which were spectacular views of the woods. The location is excellent for a drive along Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Pkwy. We didn't meet Dave (he was away that weekend), but Heidi was a terrific hostess who cooked a delicious breakfast for us on Sunday. Katie, their dog, is adorable, and loves to play catch. We would highly recommend the Iris Inn.

We visited the Inn as a family and enjoyed a huge suite with plenty of room for all of us and filled with many comforts and delights. The suite was situated separately from the main Inn and was mostly surrounded by forest with quite a bit of deck space and many huge windows to enjoy the scenery. We particularly liked the spiral staircase and the gas fireplace. The host and hostess were perfectly amienable and gave us many options, hints and suggestions for our activities during our visit. They provided a wonderful breakfast, differing daily, with lovely fresh fruits and delicious home made pancakes and muffins and satisfying eggs and bacon. Overall, the stay was superb and we would visit again and highly recommend the Iris Inn to anyone.

We've stayed at several B&B's but this was the best ever! The rooms were lovely, very spacious and the setting was wonderful. We had a terrific view. It's a great location. It's near Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway and lots of wineries. But, what really sets this place apart from others that we've stayed at is Heidi and Dave. They are terrific host and everyone feels like they are their special guest. It's a great place.

There are only 3 B&Bs in Waynesboro, and this is the only one located on the town's edge in the hills, away from all others. You'll have a lovely, comfy and friendly time with Dave and Heidi. Like family. They even have a fun dog!

Our first B&B experience and would stay there again for sure. Isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. We took the hot tub suite and enjoyed it.

The Iris Inn has such beautiful layout and design features. It's like a mountain retreat from Colorado. Dave,Heidi and Katie were most gracious and hospitable. The hospitality, food and amenities were second to none!

It's hard to know what to review -- everything about The Iris Inn is wonderful! The location is great -- right off the interstate, and yet close to all the things you want to see. Then you walk inside and it kind of wraps its arms around you -- you feel "at home." Dave or Heidi comes forward to greet you and you have two new wonderful friends! The rooms are all spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts are to die for. Coffee is always in the pot and there are always some cookies or snacks to fill your empty spaces till eating time. Katie, the dog, is well behaved, friendly, and loves to play ball with you. Go out to visit Monticello, historic places, or the wineries and your day is complete. Back to the Inn's comfortable beds and morning is waiting for you to begin all over again. You'll love it!!

After canceling once we were able to rebook the day of our stay, with a "glad to have you" from Dave. Dave is probably one of the most gracious and helpful owners that I have ever met. If you need it, he does it. Heidi did a great job in the kitchen, and does it with a smile. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars made a perfect end to our days spent touring. My sister and I first stayed there the fall of 2008. We returned with her family in May of 2009. I brought my daughter there in August of 2009. And, my sister and I plan another three-night stay in October 2009. The rooms are great, the food is great, Dave and Heidi are great! My sister and I love a glass of wine with cheese in the evenings overlooking the valley from the tower. It's a great sister-get-away. My coworkers are now taking advantage of the peace and relaxation of the Inn as well. There are presidental homes to visit in the area plus many vineyards and other activities. The Blue Ridge Highway is near by for driving, hiking, and taking in the local sights and events. There is much to see and do, or, just take a nap. :)

Dave and Heidi are outstanding inn keepers and make you feel like you've met two new friends. We stayed in the Hawk's Nest room for our mini-moon following our wedding and it was perfect. Nicely appointed with open ceilings, a fridge, and the private hottub on the deck was a wonderful touch. Looking forward to our return trip!

My wife and I love to stay at B&Bs, to be able to explore and enjoy the surrounding locale. In this case the Iris Inn became the center piece of our two night stay. We were greeted by Dave and his dog Katie, Katie escorted us to the room but no further than the threshold. As we found out Katie likes to have her ball thrown to her, over and over. The Inn has a wide porch and balcony for sitting and viewing the woods and sunsets. We were also treated to deer foraging close to the Inn. Dave and his wife Heidi have created a warm and friendly atmosphere that encourages conversation and relaxation. The food at breakfast time is filling and oh so tasty. We are looking forward to a future visit.

Innkeepers Dave and Heidi were helpful, accommodating, and an absolute pleasure to be around -- and always available without being intrusive. The great room is impressive, the library/game area cozy and inviting, the deck and grounds relaxing and peaceful, and the breakfast outstanding. The inn is nestled in the woods, with restaurants and activities just minutes away. We went for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend, enjoying a tour of Monticello and stops at local wineries, but it would be great for any type of retreat. We consistently recommend it to friends and will definitely return in the future.

A wonderful experience. My brother and I chose Waynesboro four the halfway point for our motorcycle trip, he coming from NH and I from FL. Not wanting to spend a week in a Motel 6 box, my internet search led us here. Spectacular location, unbelievable accommodations, fabulous breakfasts, and incomparable hosts. I will return next year with my wife for our 31st anniversary.

My wife and I spent the weekend at the Iris Inn for our anniversary. The stay was wonderful - the room was fantastic - the Innkkeepers Dave and Heidi were the best. the surrounding area is gorgeous. What a hidden gem!

We had a family reunion at the Inn. It was great. They made a wonderful picnic lunch for us to take on our tour of some wineries. It was so relaxing. We felt like we were in our own home. there were so many places to relax and get away from everyone. The food was great. The owners were so wonderful to us. We hated to leave. My sister and I are going back for the third time in Oct for a sister outing. this is a must visit place. So much to do in the area or just relax.

We found the Iris Inn to be a very nice place. From Katie the border collie to Dave and Heidi, we felt very welcome. The snacks were good, we made use of the loft area with the books and board games, connected to the internet with no problem and found the room to be very nice. There was a security light that was on for part of the night outside our room that was a minor inconvenience, but we told Heidi about it and she seemed concerned and we felt that it wouldn't be an issue in the future. We would recommend a stay at the Iris Inn to any of our friends visiting the area.

Dave and Heidi (and Katie!) make you very welcome. The place is superb - location and rooms are outstanding. Breakfasts were great and were also a chance to meet with other guests and share experiences, good locations to visit etc. Our only regret is that this gem of a place is so far from the UK! We were on our way from New Jersey heading to Georgia and we booked a couple nights at Iris Inn...We had a great time, Heidi and Dave were great hosts. They greeted us as we arrived and were terrific hosts. Their prepared great breakfast. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and treats were available 24/7. Our room was clean and beautiful. It was so nice to relax and enjoy our stay. They suggested a local restaurant and we had a delicious dinner there. They also suggested a local winery to visit and we had a nice time at the winery. We would love to come back and stay there again.. Thank you Heidi, Dave and Katie.

The Iris Inn is a true gem for people who want a B&B that is a combination of a contemporary hotel mixed with personal, family oriented service. The location is unbeatable in every way, the food is superb, the accommodations are clean and well maintained, the rooms extremely spaciously and nicely decorated, and all "3" innkeepers (including Katie) could not be more gracious! To summarize, we could not have found a more perfect place and will definitely return as often as we can. Highly recommended.

We loved the Deep Woods Suite. It was great for my husband and I and our daughter and her boyfriend. We were able to enjoy staying together vs. being split up in hotel rooms. We could hang out on deck and look at the beautiful views, sit by the fire, play cards together. We were very close to a great restaurant (The South View Grille). Dave and Heidi and Katie (the dog) were so welcoming and friendly. Heidi made us a very yummy breakfast prepared at a special time to help us depart earlier than the other guest. We highly recommend! Stayed in the Hawk's Nest Sweet with a private deck and jacuzzi- spectacular views and peace & quiet! Attentive hosts, but they dont get in your way- helpful with dinner reservations and local attractions. Big enough B&B that you dont feel like you are on top of other guests, but small enough to feel warm and welcoming.

The rooms were very clean and the furnishings were very home-like and comfortable. Everybody that worked there was super friendly and the breakfasts were delicious.

We live in Waynesboro and chose the Iris Inn as a romantic getaway weekend. This was our second visit and each visit was wonderful. Heidi and Dave are the ultimate hosts and Cindy cooks a breakfast (fresh fruit cup, cinnamon rolls ,eggs, bacon, french toast and more) that's to die for. The Hawk's Nest with its private hot tub made it the perfect getaway. Whether walking the trails, sitting by the fire, or throwing the ball for Katie (who loves all the guests) it's a perfect getaway.

Imagine your very own private hot tub on the deck with the perfect view of sunrise and the constellations at night. Our hosts even included snacks and soft drinks/water plus all the amenities needed for a perfect stay. To top that off, breakfast is incredible. The perfect getaway!

The food and accomodations were spectacular. The owners and staff were friendly and obliging. What a memorable New Years!!

The Iris Inn is a favorite of ours. It is conveniently less just off of I64 on the mountain overlooking Waynesboro. There are a good variety of restaurants within a 20 minute drive which can put you in Stanton, Waynesboro, or even Wintergreen Resort. 30 minutes puts you in Charlottesville. The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean with panel TVs, DirectTV, etc. The lodge was purpose built to be a B&B with upper and lower decks and even a lookout tower. Dave and Heidi were wonderful hosts. Be sure to ask Dave about Katie's bag of tricks.

We had a wonderful visit. The Inn is extremely convenient, but still tucked away and very quiet. We would love to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the grounds and porches. We saw snow! So the fireplace in suite was great! Breakfasts were excellent and even the dog was a gracious host!! Highly recommended. --R & K, Richmond, VA

We had a great time. The room was huge, and it was the cheapest one, but w/o the gift card, it would have been too expensive. GREAT LOCATION.....1 mile from interstate, but in the woods out of site. GREAT VIEW! Bed was great, everything in room worked. Wireless internet flawless. Hosts were wonderful. B'fast was fantastic......ask for French Toast.

The room was spacious and had a great view. The owners are a sincere couple and I enjoyed every minute there!

Comfortable and large rooms. Innkeepers make you feel right at home. Loved the food. Loved Katie the dog. Enjoyed everything and it is close to lots of different activities. One of our very favorite B & B's and we have been to many.

We stayed one night. Very attractive and clean. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff is friendly and axious to please. Easy to find, convenient to freesay.

My husband and I had a great time! We are very happy with our decision to go here for our anniversary.

We felt welcome when we walked in the door - by innkeekers and Katie, the Border Collie. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delightful.

My Mom and I visited The Iris Inn for the first time as a surprise birthday getaway for my Mom. She described the inn and the experience as "magical". From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Everything was perfect!!! The innkeepers have definitely answered their calling. I hope to visit again next year.

We booked for two nights, hoping for a third, but they were full on the third night. Dave and Heidi were wonderfully welcoming, our room was delightful, and the breakfast outstanding. We would love to stay again. David and Judie.
