Belle Hearth Bed and Breakfast

We had a great time there, the house is beautiful with plenty of details and very well kept and clean, my two daughters thought they were in a princess castle, they loved it! The breakfast was very good also, and the housekeepers very nice and attentive.

This is a good location with easy access to Staunton and Charlottesville. Lots to do in the area with the Blue Ridge Parkway and Frontier Culture Museum. Great breakfast and clean rooms.

After a long day of hiking in the mountains, the Belle & Hearth was the absolutely perfect place to rest. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was consistent (as opposed to those hot / cold / hot hotel rooms), the decor was lovely,and the living room was welcoming. The two kitties are very friendly, and were very willing to give me a nice bit of "kitty love" during my stay. Breakfast was quite filling and very tasty, and a perfect way to start another day in the mountains. If I could have stayed longer, I would have!

My husband and I stayed at Belle Hearth for two nights. Linda and Wayne were excellent hosts and very helpful in recommending local attractions. We stayed in the Rose Room, which was both quaint and clean. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and the couple was accommodating of my pregnancy food restrictions. Linda and Wayne are excellent conversationalists and we really enjoyed dining with the other guests.

OUTSTANDING B&B!! Visited Walton Mountain Museum in Schuyler and Monticello in Charlottesville on separate days - based out of Belle Hearth. REALLY felt like we were coming home each night. Checked in at the end of an Open House day - Linda was STILL friendly, gracious, and gave us a full tour of her beautiful home (even the empty rooms), including details about the history of the home. We stayed in the Magnolia Room - but any room would have been totally comfortable. Bed was very comfortable - linens were top quality. Wayne and Linda prepared and served a scrumpious breakfast each day; well-paced and each item was delicious. One guest in another party had special dietary needs - he was accommodated effortlessly. These innkeepers obviously care about their guests and their beautiful home, and work hard to ensure you have an unforgettable experience. We like to try different B&Bs - but Belle Hearth is SO good, we'll stay there again when we visit this area.

We stayed at the Belle Hearth for a terrific couple of days. Linda and Wayne are fantaxstic hosts making our stay that much better. The atmosphere, food, location and company could not have been better. We will definitely consider staying at the Belle Hearth B&B again.

My husband and I used the Belle Hearth B&B as our base of operations during our honeymoon - our room was lovely, the food was spectacular, the atmosphere was homey Victorian, the location was incredibly convenient, and our hosts were extremely friendly and gracious. It couldn't have been bettered.

We had a wonderful and very relaxing stay at the Belle Hearth. The food was amazing and Linda and Wayne were wonderful hosts. They spent enough time with you to make you feel welcome but didn't intrude on your privacy at all. Will definitely consider staying there again if we are in the area. Marvelous collection of antiques.

We stayed at the Belle Hearth from 10/19-10/21 and we had an outstanding time. Linda and Walter are the most gracious hosts of any b&b that we have stayed at. They are also gourmet cheft! The breakfasts each morning were diverse and delicious. We felt welcomed as family and were genuinely sad to leave. We got to know the other guests at the property, and really enjoyed everything about the atmosphere of the inn. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, clean, and inviting. There are little snacks situated everywhere throughhout the house in case you need a late night snack. Overall we highly recommend this property.

We booked in advance from UK and did not know what to expect. The Belle Hearth is a lovely restful place to stay. Linda and Wayne are welcoming and informative hosts. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Every comfort had been thought of. We had a beautifully served and delicious breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend a stay here.

We arrived late and only stayed the night leaving early before breakfast, but in the short time we were there it was lovely. We stayed in the Rose room and the bed was very comfortable, the room very quiet. Wouldn't hesitate in staying again or reccomending to others.

We really enjoyed our night at the Belle Hearth and the breakfast was amazing.

We had a lovely two night stay in the Iris Room and indulged in the Wine Lover Package. We had a lovely basket of wine, bread, dipping sauce, and glasses waiting for us when we arrived. A private wine tasting was scheduled in advance and proved to be a fun experience. Linda packed a delicious picnic basket for us that we enjoyed after a rigorous hike to Humpback Rocks. Breakfast was superb, host and hostess were helpful and accommodating, and the home was beautiful! We can't wait to plan our next trip back to the Belle Hearth.

We stayed at the Bella Hearth B & B in Waynesboro, Va., arriving on July 22, 2012 spending two nights there and had a wonderful time. Linda and Wayne Mielczasz were very gracious and accommodating; we spent several hours talking with them about the area, the B & B and our common backgrounds. Even Linda and I had the same birthday and also closed on our house on the same day as they closed on the B & B which was also our birthdays. Belle Hearth was just what we were looking for, a nice quiet get away with very nice people. Linda and Wayne served delicious breakfasts with some wonderful conversations. The area has a lot to offer, we went hiking on Skyline Drive which is only a 10 minute drive away, did some shopping and had a great dinner at the Mill Street Grill in Staunton, Virginia just 15 minutes away. There were several other restaurants that Linda and Wayne suggested, however, we didn’t get a chance to visit them but, we will, when we return to Belle Hearth in the fall for the foliage season. Although our visit was short, it exceeded all expectations.

We were made to feel very welcome in this lovely old house which had been carefully restored to its previous glory, with charming garden porch, entrance rooms/staircase and amazing bedroom. We stayed only 1 night but Linda and Wayne are charming hosts and we wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was homemade and we shared this with 2 charming couples, all sharing the 1 large dining table. As we arrived late and in need of food we were supplied with a recommendation for a restaurant locally, We would recommend a stay at Belle Hearth Pat and Jane UK (23rd May 2012)

We stayed for two nights while visitng local wineries and touring the area. The Victorian style home was lovely, clean and inviting. Linda and Wayne are so kind, friendly and pay attention to every detail to make your stay "special". We enjoyed the pool and the lovely porch on a very hot Va day. We stayed in the Iris room and found it to be perfect. The breakfasts were great and we very much enjoyed the table conversations. For lunch we enjoyed a highly recommended pizza at the Blue Mountain Brewery. Dinner was a three block walk to The Green Leaf- fabulous!! Also, do not miss the newly opened Bold Rock (south on Rt 151) for great tasting and refreshing hard cider- hands down a winner. Cannot wait to visit Belle Hearth B and B again. My mother and I visited Belle Hearth on June 3rd for one night as it was a convenient stop after attending my nieces wedding in Charlottesville VA to regroup before going on through Skyline drive. After the hectic weekend it was a great retreat. I only wish we decided to stay 2 nights instead. The gardens and interior décor was up my isle as I love Victorian. The front gardens are picturesque and many memorial photos are now in my collection. Sitting on the wrap around porch in the evening was very relaxing; you almost forgot you were on a main street. I love that many of the items in the house have a story behind them and that some pieces are personal to either Linda or Wayne. Now a month later the story about the picture of the ancestral woman in the Iris room still stays with me. Retreating to our beautiful Iris and Rose rooms was a pleasure. I took the Iris room as blue is a favorite color of mine. A small but comfortable room was just perfect. From the fireplace to the high four poster bed and the antique furniture and private bath I was able to unwind and had a great night sleep. My Mom’s accommodations was equally satisfying with a big and bright room, she hated to leave. Linda and Wayne could not have been more hospitable. They were a pleasure to meet, and not the type of people I would have expected to meet in the South. I have been to my fair share of B&B’s and have not met more welcoming and genuinely friendly hosts. We highly recommend Belle Hearth to anyone looking for a little Victorian charm and beauty in this lovely neighborhood home.

My husband and I were looking for a short getaway for a few days and my husband found Belle Hearth. I'm so glad he did. Wayne and Linda gave us a warm welcome and were very informative about things to do in the surrounding area. I'm sure we'll be back again!

Only a couple of miles from the southern entrance to the Skyline Drive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The Inn is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. I'll be back!

My husband & I stayed 2 nights at Belle Hearth. Linda & Wayne were terrific hosts. We had the Magnolia Suite & it was wonderful! My wife and I were bringing a motorcycle back to NC from Vermont. I had surprised my wife and made the trip a Bed and Breakfast themed trip. We stayed at Belle Hearth on the last night of our trip. Belle Hearth has a beautiful presentation and entrance with a lovely garden. We were greeted by Linda and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Our room was equally beautiful and extremely comfortable. We had the best night's sleep at Belle Hearth. Many B&B's do not have attached bathrooms with the rooms. This was not the case here and welcomed plus. We stayed in the Orchid Room and found out is was the original owners room, which made it kind of neat. The breakfast was also the best of all of the Inns. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely like to return.

This was a repeat for us. We much enjoyed our stay, and will likely stay there again. As repeat guests we received a generous discount. Wayne and Linda are indeed gracious hosts, with stories about Waynesboro and their neighborhood, and good recommendations both for places to dine and places to walk or visit. They are avid collectors of historic memorabilia. They fed us gourmet breakfasts, served family-style at the large table in their dining room. We especially enjoyed our conversations with other guests. The "rating" choices are a little ambiguous, since a choice could be both "Outstanding" and "Met my expectations", especially since this was our third visit. Our three-star ratings should be taken in that light.

I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend. We're a bit younger (21 & 25) and had a fantastic stay here. It was so comfortable and welcoming. There is so much history that Linda & Wayne have packed throughout the house. They're super informative on the town of Wayensboro and the surrounding towns. The breakfast & conversation were perfect. We'll be back for Sure !

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the Rose Room and felt relaxed and comfortable--like we were staying in our "best friends' home". Wayne and Linda were warm and welcoming and we were impressed with the "attention to detail" in cleanliness, furnishings, and the food was amazing. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a weekend get away or a trip to the mountains - any time of year.

My daughter and I drove up to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains just before Christmas and we stayed 4 nights at Belle Hearth. We were very pleased and impressed with our stay. The inn owners were lovely people and very helpful. The inn was absolutely gorgeous and the food outstanding. We got a very good rate on our room and were charmed to have a fireplace in our own room. Can't say enough about Belle Hearth, would definitely recommend it!

My husband and I were sampling our way through the "Brew Ridge Trail" and looking for a place to crash for the night. Belle Hearth was perfect for what we needed. Linda and Wayne kindly accommodated our semi-late (8:30pm arrival) and were very gracious hosts. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding!

We stayed at the Belle Hearth during a weekend getaway with a group of friends. The owners were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The house is nicely decorated. I felt like I was staying at a friends house. Breakfast was wonderful. We will definitely be staying here again during our next trip to the mountains for wine tastings and fun.

We stayed for two nights in the Magnolia Suite. Some of the fixtures date back more than a century to the construction of this lovely home. We had concerns going in that the dust would bother us, but the place is kept so impeccably clean, it was not a problem. Breakfast was a multi-course presentation in itself, and was creatively prepared. The outside wrap-around porch is very relaxing. This B&B is located near so many things to do, only a couple of miles from the entrance of Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway, about a half hour from Charlottesville, and a short drive from several beautiful wineries. If you're not sure what you want to do, just ask Linda and Wayne. They have a treasure trove of suggestions. Overall an excellent time.

We unfortunately had to arrive late, but our hosts were very gracious. The room was beautiful, and comfortable, with a great gas fireplace! I am enamored with the architecture. Given a chance, we'd return again. Great meeting you both. Kelly and David

Antiques definitely abound in every square inch of space and are gorgeous. If you like rooms with more open and empty space, you'll be happier elsewhere. If you love beautiful dishes and flowery decor, you'll love this place. Arriving after dark was a bit uncomfortable because of low lighting in the main entryway and parlor. We prefer warmly lit spaces, especially when days are colder and darker outside. Innkeepers were congenial and accommodating, though, and the bed was extremely cozy. Enjoyed the warmth of the fire in the hearth. Home baked goodies were delicious and breakfast table conversations delightful.

The inn keepers are very sociable and provide help about things to do in the area when asked. We stayed in the Orchard room 10/21/2011-10/22/2011. The room is large with a very comfortable King bed. There was a small day bed in the room as well as a side chair and small TV. The bath is large with a claw tub/shower. We liked the room although the first night the tempeture was cool. Wayne cut up the heat, so the next night the tempeture was fine. The breakfast is very good and pleantiful. We really enjoyed the company with the other guests at breakfast. So much so that out last day we sat around the dining room table and chatted for about an hour and a half. There is very little to do in Waynesboro, so we spent our time in Lexington and Staunton. I would recommend this inn.

Fantastic quirky period house crammed with antiques and interesting items. Very warm welcome with helpful advice and a lovely breakfast. The Belle Hearth looks rural but is in a beautiful avenue close to the town centre, an easy walk to find a restaurant and would recommend the Green Leaf Grill. Mosby the cat is the star of the show.

Excellent bedding - soft & luxurious. Innkeepers accommodated our special food restrictions, and were very informative about the Blue Ridge area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing in the evening - nice quiet neighborhood.

We are so pleased to have stayed at the Belle Hearth. Our room was wonderful and cozy. The breakfasts ~ well, how elegant and DELICIOUS. Linda and Wayne don't have to go out of their way to please anyone. It seems to come so natural to them both. We have already made a reservation for next year at the same time and I can't wait until our next stay in December.

Linda and Wayne are wonderful people who take great care of their guests. We plan stay there again when we are in the Waynesboro area. The old Victorian house and furnishings are beautiful. Breakfast was done very nicely and the coffee was over-the-top.

My wife and I spent our anniversary in the Waynesboro area and really enjoyed our stay at the Belle Hearth. They are super friendly, very helpful and are conveniently located! We had a wonderful time!

This was our second stay at the inn. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite again as we like having the sitting room to relax in. We toured the sites within an hour's drive of Waynesboro. The inn was decorated for the fall season and was immaculate. The breakfasts were delicious and so elegantly presented. Linda and Wayne are such gracious innkeepers who seem to enjoy sharing their beautiful home with it's rich history.

My family and I (there are five of us) decided to take a quick trip before school started and decided, based on the reviews, to stay at Belle Hearth. We are so glad we did! It more than lived up to the reviews. We stayed in one of the suites and the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and beautiful and the house was quiet even though there were other guests. All the readily available snacks and desserts were a hit with my 18 and 22 year old sons and my 7 year old daughter. The owners were absolutely accomodating and do a great job at giving suggestions on things to do and places to eat around the area. We LOVED Scotto's Italian Restaurant and Klines Ice Cream! We looked forward to breakfast every morning! Delicious!! They really try to accomodate all dietary needs. There were plenty of things to do in the area (don't miss the Safari Park)! We all agreed that this was one of our best vacations ever and will definitely be back!!!! Thanks Linda and Wayne for allowing us into your lovely home and for making this a truly wonderful and relaxing experience!

We stayed in the Belle Hearth B&B on our trip through the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Valley. Set in the rather bleak though conveniently located town of Waynesboro, the Belle Heart is an oasis of warmth and comfort. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Wonderful place to stay. This was my first stay in a B&B. I definitely want to go back!

Small blue collar town in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley. It is close to major highways and attractions yet tucked away on a side street of this town. Good restaurants are a 20-25 minute drive yet that was the attractiveness of this B&B in that we came home from dinner and sat on the swing on the wraparound porch at night, watching the few cars and people that passed by. We will visit again some fall to see central Virginia's fall foliage.

The owners were very helpful in telling about local attractions and dining options. Their breakfast was exceptional!

The rooms were beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and the meal.. WOW! All in all, it was a fabulous stay that we'll probably repeat when we're in the area! Try it.. you'll love it too!

My daughter and I spent 4 days in Virginia and stayed at the Belle Hearth. The owners were very polite and accommodating and the breakfast provided was very good. They were always available to help with directions and to answer questions. the only thing was that the room was too warm and we couldn't regulate it. I would recommend it. It was very reasonably priced.

Excellent stay and great service. Breakfast was tasty, they even made a special dish for my wife who is a vegetarian. Would recommend.

Great Innkeepers who made us feel right at home...a super nice couple! Our rooms were comfy and we slept well. The price was great. We had a large room with a connecting bath, that adjoined another room just right for our 13 yr. old granddaughter! The breakfast was delicious and we had the BEST SCONES I have ever had!! We would definitely return and highly recommend this warm inviting home filled to the brim with antiques and knick knacks and a flowering English style garden. The wrap around porch was also lovely. Hospitality is second to none. Linda and Wayne make you feel right at home. The breakfasts are amazing. It is impossible to leave the table hungry. If you need any guidance in sightseeing, dining, wine tasting or anything else, Linda and Wayne are available with a wealth of information. We stayed in the Orchid Room and a more comfortable room is hard to find. The B&B is centrally located between Staunton and Charlottesville. It is also closely located to I-81 and Skyline Drive and the Blueridge Parkway. If you are into wineries, there are any number within driving distance. Belle Hearth is a great place for a get-away. Let's not forget Mosby.

The bed and breakfast owners were lovely. They shared ideas with us and we enjoyed meeting the other couples staying there.

The rooms were pretty and comfortable. Wayne and Jean were very welcoming and accommodating of our needs. The food was good as well.

Very nice well kept place convenient for the Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive. We had a hot night in June and missed having AC.

We would like to question a review we just received. It states there was no Air conditioning in the house during their stay. We have AC but during their stay the outside temperatures were in the 70's and at night the temperature dropped into the low 60's. We have to consider all of our guests comfort and to run the AC when the house was pleasant with the windows open and each room has a 52" ceiling fan, we saw no need to cool the house any further.

Something different and interesting to look at wherever you rest your eyes. Decorated with lots of interesting items. Our room was very comfortable, our host very helpful and friendly. Who could forget Wayne, on Wayne Ave, in Waynesboro. He's a good cook too. Multi course breakfast was a delight to palate and eye, (even the edible flowers). No off street parking. Old fashion tub was a little high to step into. A nice stop as you enter or exit Skyline Drive or the Blue Ridge parkway. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

We stayed for one night while visiting Charlottesville. It was a nice room, friendly and helpful service, and a convenient location.

Beautiful front yard on busy road. Inn keepers were friendly and helpful. Too much clutter with "collectibles" for my taste. The breakfast was amazing and exceeded all previous bed and breakfasts attended. Overall good experience.

Our son and his fiance had chosen Belle Hearth as the hosting location for their intimate wedding gathering in the Waynesboro area. We were graciously welcomed by Linda and Wayne, helpfully introduced to the amenities of their B&B, and soon learned of the interesting history of this location. We found the historic home to be a wonderful place for the two families to assemble and spend time together. While we did not use the pool, we enjoyed the poolside area for an evening outdoor meal (we brought the fixings) and conversation following the wedding. Each of the rooms had a distinct character, and we enjoyed seeing them all. We had a delightful breakfast the next morning, as we enjoyed their specialties. The ample front and side porch provided us a relaxing place to visit. Linda and Wayne were very gracious and accomodating hosts.

Linda was a fabulous host! We happened to be the only guests during our stay, but got the feeling Linda makes all of her guests feel special. She even up-graded our room to the Magnolia Suite at no extra cost. The clean room was well appointed with a great bed, soft sheets and linens. The bubble bath in the "old fashion tub" was so relaxing and peaceful after a long day and we loved that the room had a separate shower. Her gourmet breakfast of omlette/apples was so delicious. I would never thought of it, blending the two together. I highly recommend the Belle Hearth who wants a fine B&B experience. Diane & Bill

Pleasant, comfortable, private and so clean! So much to gaze at while in the inn and the area the inn is located is convenient and so nice. The town of Waynesboro is very small town nice. Nice places to eat, shop and easy to find your way around.

My Husband and I stayed this last weekend for the first time at Belle Hearth. The owners, Linda and Wayne were amazing hosts. From the fresh cut flowers in our room, to the chocolates, to the mouth watering dishes served at breakfast, we just loved everything about Belle Hearth. The room was comfortable and very quiet at night. You cant beat the location either. We were able to visit local wineries, take in a Shakespearean play in Staunton, and attend the graduation ceremonies at University of Virginia. All of these destinations were just minutes away. We are looking forward to staying again this summer to do some fishing and then again in the Fall to take in all the beautiful Fall colors of Shenandoah Valley. We highly recommend this B&B.

While all of the sites we vidited, Skyline Drive, caverns, quaint towns and several wineries were wonderful, the stay at Belle Hearth put the icing on the overall cake. We would recommend it it anyone.

My family and I have never been treated as hospitably as we were at the Belle Hearth. Decor, food, friendliness, and cleanliness are off the chart. Treat yourself and someone you love with a stay at the Belle Hearth!

Everything was fine. Beds were comfortable, breakfast sufficient and creative enough to make it much more than mundane. The place is a bit crowded, with bric-a-brac on every surface and sometimes intense wallpaper, but we had a fine stay at a fair price.

Suggest breakfast be served earlier as it was 10:30 before we finished and we had planned on morning sightseeing before getting back on the road. Another guest agreed there wasn't enough space in the bedrooms to place our suitcases, clothing and toiletries.

The hosts were very kind and we had a pleasant stay. The room was very clean and had a nice fireplace. The breakfast was three courses and the french toast melted in my mouth.

My wife and I were returning from our honeymoon in Williamsburg and had just finished driving the Skyline Drive from the north entrance to the southern end. When we arrived at Belle Hearth we were greeted by Linda at the front door, who was very friendly and immediately made us feel at home. We had reserved the 3-room Magnolia Suite which could not have been more perfect. The house itself was a step back in time to the victorian age of the early 20th century, but with all the modern conveniences. After our night's stay, we had a wonderful breakfast in the formal dining room, and were abe to visit with Linda and Wayne. The history of the house is amazing and the neighborhood very charming with friendly people passing by on the front walk. We had found the perfect place to spend the last night of our honeymoon and look forward to returning in the future.

This was this first time I stayed in a bed and breakfast. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience. The home is just that a home. Everything was very comfortable and pleasant. The owners made me a bag breakfast to take to my class. The gas fire places in the rooms made for a comfortable night of relaxing and winding down for the day while watching TV. I highly recommend a stay.

Linda and Wayne were great in helping my wife and I celebrate our 25th anniversary near valentine's day, going so far as to prepare a surprise cake for my wife and a beautifully decorated tray with cake, chocolates and flutes for my toast to my wife. The house was well-decorated with many antiques. Our breakast was custom-made for us and another couple.

Linda and Wayne are great hosts. The house was spotless, we couldn't find one grain of dust. The breakfast was delicious. They are great conversationalists and really make you feel at home. The house is also beautiful. Plus, they know of so many great things to do in the area so all you have to do is talk to them a little to figure out how to spend your days. The house is really close to Monticello, University of Virginia, several vineyards that have wine tasting, and the town of Charlottesville, which is a fun and beautiful place. We would recommend anybody stay at Belle Hearth.

Gorgeous 1909 home with over-the-top Victorian furnishings and decor. Beautifully presented and very tasty breakfast per our request. Rose bedroom perfect for a couple; however, poor lighting for applying make-up and TV monitor too low to see while in bed. Great coffee/convenience center upstairs near room. Inn-keepers VERY helpful with dinner suggestions.

My wife and I received a three night stay at Belle Hearth as a Christmas present from our children. The Inn is located in downtown Waynesboro and very easy to find. Beautiful old house with lots of history. House was decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. The owners Wayne and Linda were very gracious and very friendly. Our room was very large with a private bath and gas log fireplace. King size bed that was very comfy. Breakfast was simple and delicious. If you enjoy history this is the perfect place to stay. Thomas Jeffersons home is a short drive with many Vinyards on the way. All in all we had a great time. Really hated to leave.

For my wife and I, this was our first trip to a bed and breakfast. We didn't know what to expect, but this trip was everything that we could have hoped for. Wayne, the innkeeper, was a gracious host and a fantastic cook. With his wife away visiting family, he treated us to an absolutely wonderful breakfast each morning. If you are looking for a quiet, cozy place to stay near Charlottesville, this is the place to stay!

My husband and I have stayed at Belle Hearth quite a few times, and we've always had a wonderful time! The innkeepers are among the best we've ever met, and being that we've stayed in LOTS of b&bs, that's saying a lot! We will continue to visit them every chance we get!

While my friend and I were on vacation, we decided to end it at a Bed and Breakfast. I found this gem on the internet and we loved it. The day we got there, we were greeted by a very nice couple, who gave us a tour after chatting with us about our interests. We felt like family at this hidden, wonderful B&B. Since it was close to dinnertime, they suggested several places to eat in the area. After we decided, they gave us printed directions and told us to enjoy our meal (they loved to go there also). I was talking with Linda and Wayne while they were making breakfast, informing them of my friend's request for his morning meal. They were very accommodating to his change. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We are already planning to stay there again on our next trip to the area.

This was a special treat for me since Belle Hearth is my paternal grandfather and grandmother's house. To be able to stay and sleep there with two of my 3 daughters created special memories in our lives.

Along with being historic and beautiful, the innkeepers were wonderfully accommodating to all my odd allergies and my husband's diabetes. The breakfast of zucchini bread and orange french toast was amazing, moreso because they used splenda.

Stayed here for 3 nights in September 2010 as base for hiking in Shenadoah National Park. Very convenient for access to Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. Given a warm welcome by Wayne and a tour of the interesting house with all its history. Very comfortable accommodation and a really good breakfast which set us up for the day's walking.

The room was outstanding - especially clean and inviting - it was as if staying at grandmom's for a long weekend - it was the perfect setting for the beginning of our 41st anniversary weekend. The host and hostess couldn't have been nicer or more informed of the history of the house which was intriguing! The breakfast was outstanding and a southern delight! The other couples were as pleased and impressed as we were and breakfast was a chatfest as we enjoyed comraderie and shared stories of home and family. The inn keepers were especially friendly. The Inn itself is immaculate and well kept and well decorated for the season - I imagine it is spectcular at Christmas time! You will certainly get more than your monies worth at Bell Hearth!

We were able to take advantage of a special rate. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The innkeepers had discounts for many of the area activities and this saved us even more. The breakfasts' were delicious and our coffee server was kept full. Linda & Wayne even poured when they were not busy with other duties.

My wife and I stayed at Belle Hearth for our anniversary in September. The hosts were wonderful and the house is gorgeous. Linda has done a great job of decorating and every knick-knack has its place and looks like it belongs. The breakfast was excellent, home-cooked, inventive (sausage and cranberry quiche, grapes with orange-zest sauce, etc.) and very filling. They were gracious of our arriving much later than we'd anticipated due to driving the length of Skyline Drive and let us have a lazy checkout in the morning. In short, we enjoyed our visit very much and will certainly be going back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Belle Hearth. The house is fascinating with all the antiques collected by Linda and Wayne. Breakfasts were exceptional! Waynesboro is not the most interesting town, but Inn is centrally located for visiting the southern Shenandoah Valley.

The history they shared regarding their home and the town was very entertaining, informative and enjoyable. They offered many suggestions regarding things to do, places to go and restaurants for dining. Their home is both charming and elegant with many treasures they have collected both locally and abroad. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The pool was an additional delight. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and we enjoyed the company of Linda and Wayne's other guests whether dining in the elegant, formal dining room or at a table on the wraparound porch. We have recommended Belle Hearth to several of our friends and we will definitely be returning!

We found this lovely century old home when looking for a place to rest while visiting our daughter and her new baby in Charlottesville. Decorated true to it's era it seemed as if the original owners had never left! The rooms are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Leading to a refreshing pool on the ground level was a set of winding exterior steps with items left along the way – reminiscent of summer vacations and 'going home' to relatives. Wayne and Linda were as welcoming as if we were related. On our second visit we brought along two grandchildren who also enjoyed the style and décor of generations apart. A delicious breakfast is served with elegant grace, and as my 10 year old granddaughter put it, “That lady (Linda) was so nice... she gave me my very own little teapot!” Even after our new little addition to our family gets to go home from the hospital, we hope to visit Belle Hearth again and again.

Stayed in the Magnolia Suite and was able to have a separate room for our daughter who was with us for college visits. Other B&Bs we checked would not allow her to stay in the room with us without renting an entire other room. Linda provided us with information and suggestions for all our planned activities!

First time at any B&B. Was worried about feeling as if we were intruding on other people's privacy. But.... why didn't I do this sooner? It will be the place that I compare future trips with. Everything was perfect and lovely, from the house and room to the owners.

This house is so amazing, and so beautifully decorated, it is a true delight! Our room was immaculately clean and very, very comfortable. The mattress was more comfortable than ours at home! The owners, Linda and Wayne, are very gracious, friendly, and also delicious cooks. Our only regret was that we were not able to stay longer. Will definitely come back.

My family and I gathered at the Belle Hearth B&B for my father-in-law's 60th Birthday. We were all driving from different directions, so we decided on this location as a mutual meeting spot. The B&B was beautiful - we were not disappointed! The home is full of gorgeous antiques and the bedrooms were large, cozy and clean. Breakfast in the AM was delicious & the innkeepers were both very friendly. Waynesboro is a quaint area & is w/in driving distance to several great vineyards. If you're looking for a nice getaway, definitely check this place out.

Had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Room was cozy, and the fireplace was a plus. Breakfast was just right and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. Wish breakfast was a little earlier since it delayed our departure a bit, but otherwise, everything was great. Innkeepers were very helpful and courteous. Our recent overnight stay at the Belle Hearth was delightful. The owner's pride in maintaining a tastfully decorated and inviting home was evident with much of the furniture and decor acquired from extended visits to England. The gas fireplaces with different hearths in every room glowed with the warmth and hospitality conveyed as well by our gracious hosts. The king bed in the Orchid room was sooo comfortable that I even peeked under the tightly drawn sheets to try to see the mattress brand. Breakfast was a delicious "three course" event! The lilac-colored home comes with an interesting 100 year history that the owners are delighted to tell. It is nestled among turn of the 20th Century homes that range from Victorian to Craftsman and is a stone's throw from historic downtown Waynesboro and Fishburne Military Academy. The owners have discount tickets to Wintergreen skiing and are exploring getting discounts for the snow tubing which we were there for. We will definately return in warmer climes to enjoy a walking tour of the tree-lined streets and inground pool!

visited once again but this time during Valentines- wonderful getaway yet again! It was nice to see Wayne and Linda and the house was immaculate. Although there was plenty of snow, it did not hamper our time there- in fact, it added to the excitement for we were able to use the fireplaces! (normally too warm to use). If you haven't been to the Belle Hearth, you are missing out on Waynesboro best kept secret! We will be back!

This was our first experience in a Bed and Breakfast and it was beyond wonderful! Linda and Wayne provided us with historical information about the house, local restaurant and event recommendations, and a warm and friendly environment. From the claw foot bathtub to the down comforter on the queen sized bed and the amazing breakfast to the insightful conversations, we wished we had booked more nights and hope to return soon.

Belle Hearth is really a treasure! The entire house is decorated beautifully with interesting details. The breakfast was outstanding - best fritatta and cream cheese zucchini bread you could ever imagine! Wayne and Linda seem to think of every detail - from snacks down the hall to the comfiest and most lovely smelling bed and bath linens. Although we did not get to meet Linda, we can only imagine she is as welcoming and charming as Wayne. Thank you both so much! We will definitely recommend you to others.
