Heritage House B&B proudly serves as the closest B&B to the world-renowned INN AT LITTLE WASHINGTON in the heart of the historic district. A traditional B&B since 1985, this 1837 manor house has consistently received the distinguished 3-Diamond Official Appointment rating for outstanding guest accommodations & service. In its fabled past, the house purportedly served as headquarters to Confederate General Jubal Early during the Civil War.

Each of the 5 guestrooms are comfortably decorated with antiques and feature lots of pillows, soft linens, spa robes and Gilchrist & Soames ammenities. ALL PRIVATE bathrooms. Our rustic Guest Clubhouse - always a favorite hangout - is stocked with refreshments, games & music. RELAX with a glass of wine or cold beer and enjoy the beautiful mountain views from the clubhouse deck.

      Chef Gary's signature dish is Eggs Florentine - a guest favorite that was featured in Kitty & Lucian Maynard's BEST RECIPES FROM AMERICAN COUNTRY INNS AND BED & BREAKFASTS. His freshly baked muffins and a puff pastry filled with hand-whipped cream and assorted fruits are superb coupled with our bottomless cups of special-blend coffee. We also offer plenty of orange juice and a selection of hot teas and cocoa.

    Relax in front of our parlor fireplace with a good book and a glass of complimentary port or sparkling cider.  Chat with the innkeepers and other guests as you anticipate your dining experience at the world-renowned INN AT LITTLE WASHINGTON.The cheerful Garden Suite, our most popular room, has a Queen bed, a bathroom with both tub & shower, and an enclosed sunroom overlooking the gardens.
    Inspired by America’s colonial heritage, this spacious elegant room features an indulgent KING bed surrounded by vintage papered walls, lace panels and historic Schumacher fabric window treatments. Antique furnishings include a 19th century washstand and a key-hole writing desk. The full private bathroom is fitted with a porcelain pedestal sink and bathtub with shower. * This bed can be converted into Twin beds with advance request.Step back in time into the original 1837 master bedroom. This cozy cheerful room features an exquisite 19th century QUEEN bed covered in a handcrafted French floral quilt. The colorful print is echoed in the handsewn window treatments, table skirts and decorative pillows. A matching antique armoire and comfortable bedside reading chair completes the room. The private bathroom contains a shower.
    The Jubal Early Room, named after our famed Civil War houseguest, is a spacious room with king bed.  The Private Bathroom with shower is located just a few steps across a small 2nd floor hallway.Miss Kitty and one of her kittens lounging in the garden.  Our little family of cats are outdoor cats so, please don't let them inside - no matter what they tell you!  We also have a friendly small dog who has access to the public rooms.  He can easily be moved to another location upon request.  We promise we won't take it personally - he might, but we won't!
    Club House - Relax in an adirondack chair with a drink, listen to music & enjoy the beauty of the mountains.  The club house is stocked with wine, beer, sodas and games!Escape to the mountains and enjoy the beautiful Fall foilage from a Club House chair.
