    Innkeeper Response
Don't wait another 20 years to go to a B&B! Although we are all different, you're sure to enjoy staying in a B&B more than anywhere else. We enjoyed having you here and look forward to your return visit. Take another break to grab some more alone time, and fall asleep on a cloud again!

This is a great bed and breakfast, convenient to the beach, downtown and the aquarium. We are repeat customers and the service and breakfast are consistently excellent. Steve and Marie-Louise use locally produced foods. Marie-Louise accommodated our dietary needs, which were complicated. The inn was quiet in a primarily residential area. The room was comfortable and clean. Steve and Marie-Louise are friendly, warm and helpful. We look forward to returning in February. We highly recommend Barclay Cottage to anyone visiting Virginia Beach. Art and Mary from Lawrenceville, New Jersey

I've been meaning to write a response since I stayed so this is long overdue. We stayed here in June of 2010 for our wedding retreat. My wife and I wanted something unique for the weekend leading up to our wedding so rather than staying at a chain hotel we thought this would be something new. Wow were we amazed. From the rooming to the food, the atmosphere to the service it was everything we could have imagined. You both made our day so special. For our 1 year anniversary our parents bought us a gift certificate to the Barclay Cottage and we are planning a winter retreat from the stress of our daily grind. We both can't wait! Thanks and see you soon!!

    Innkeeper Response
We are looking forward to helping you celebrate your Anniversary. We'll be happy to put together a memorable stay with restaurant reservations, perhaps some extras in your room (Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, flowers, etc.) a couple's massage, Winter Seafari?? Call us to set it all up!

Staying at Barclay Cottage was such a wonderful experience that we two retired teachers just had to give Steve and Marie Louise a "report card" -- all A ++. From the beautiful antiques to the comfortable rooms - top of the line !!! The breakfasts were excellent, and the conversation was genuine ! We loved our visit and will return !!! Bill & Dianne from Johnstown, PA

    Innkeeper Response
Ok, Mr. Bill and Ms. Diamme, it's almost the end of the next quarter - time for another report card at Miss Barclay's School. You'd better come down and make sure our grades are not slipping!

Beautiful and quiet rooms. Loved the breakfasts-great food and conversation! Hosts were very knowledgable about everything Virginia Beach. Loved there big, beautiful porches-me and my sisters sat for hours drinking tea or eating cheeses and wine and conversing. What a wonderful, peaceful place to connect with those you love, and meet new wonderful people also staying there.

    Innkeeper Response
You and your sisters were so much fun to have as guests...come back soon. We'll chill a bottle of champagne for you!
