The Inn at Vaucluse Spring

  • Inn Details

Let us be "your place in the country". We are a fifteen room inn spread throughout a small village of six guest houses surrounding a large limestone spring in the Shenandoah Valley. Set amidst 100 scenic acres in orchard country, the Inn is ideally located between the historic sites of Winchester and outdoor activities near Front Royal and Shenandoah National Park's Skyline Drive. Choose from a wide variety of accommodations, from the elgance of the historic Vaucluse Manor House to the log and stone warmth of an 1850's log house, to the privacy of individual cottages. Spacious guest rooms indulge your senses with Jacuzzis, fireplaces, queen and king beds, and bucolic views. Sitting rooms, porches and outdoor seating abound, providing nooks for intimate conversation and daydreaming.

Neil and Barry made us feel welcome. Snowed while we were there and place was beautiful. Fire in morning and evening in living room. Great attention to detail. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner was wonderful. Recommend without any reservations.

I have visited the Inn at Vaucluse Spring several times and always found the accommodations and setting wonderful and the hosts warm and welcoming. The restoration of the historic manor house is stunning, and the three other buildings on the property that I have enjoyed are also impeccable, charming and exquisitely comfortable. Breakfasts at Vaucluse have always been a luxury, and the last time we stayed, we enjoyed Adam's cooking for dinner, which was an adventure in delicious flavors, prepared and combined in ways we had not experienced before. When we want a special treat for ourselves, the Inn at Vaucluse Spring is always a tempting choice. Paul Bennett

Over all the years and all the visits, we have had stellar service and not one repeat meal. The inn has a lot of character mixed with modern convenience like remote controlled fireplaces. The hosts are very friendly, and they have never steered us wrong recommending different activities during the day. Our most recent stay was in the Mill House, which was formerly where Lord Chumley did his painting. It had two levels, with a nice lounging area on the first floor.

Rosalyn and I were personally welcomed at Vaucluse by Neil Myers. We stayed at the Chumley Suite which was warmly furnished, which included an inviting fireplace serving both our bedroom and bath area. Our breakfasts were included with our fare, and they were expertly prepared by Chef Adam, and the wait staff were very professional as well as warm and attentive to our needs. An exquisite 5 course dinner prepared especially for us by Chef Adam wednesday evening. The dinner was very special as I asked for Rosayln's hand in marraige over dessert ... and she said yes. It was a very happy event for us and the Vaucluse management and staff made us feel wonderful to be there at the right moment. Kudos to the nth power! We thank and congratulate them. We plan to return to Vaucluse at our earliest opportunity to enjoy the congenial and warm offerings that the staff and inn very well provide.
