We are located in Downtown Staunton, Virginia. Guests can walk to everything and we offer off-street parking.
The Carriage House was awarded Historic Staunton Foundation's award for excellence in renovation in 2004 when it was renovated. It is a 2-story accommodation with a living room/dining area, food preparation area, and a large bedroom with a king-sized bed. This is our pet friendly suite at the B&B and has a kennel in the garage which is 4' x 6' and is almost 5' tall.
The Living Room is very comfortable.
Guests enjoy a nutritious multi-course breakfast each morning, even during the week.
"The 1890's Room" is perhaps our most romantic room. It has a sitting area at one end of the room and is a charming, softly-colored room. It is furnished with antiques and comfortable upholstered chairs. The private bath has a tub and shower. The TV lounge is nearby with a refrigerator and microwave for your use. Enjoy our multi-course breakfasts!
This is "The Garden Room" which is one of the 3 guest rooms in the main inn.
"The Carriage House" has a living room/dining area on the first floor (shown) and the large bedroom is upstairs. There is a king-size bed, a free-standing fireplace, shelves with baskets, and two rocking chairs overlooking the gardens. The bedroom upstairs is twice as large as the downstairs since it also covers the garage area.
This room has a fireplace (with electric logs) and seating in front of the fireplace as well as at a table in front of the window. The bed is queen-sized. The ensuite bathroom has tub/shower.
This table is also in the courtyard area.
Guests enjoy sitting in the courtyard area which overlooks the water garden.
Enjoy the patio which is off to one side of this water garden. We have a table and chairs and another sitting area with a bench and chairs. The concord grape arbor/fence is in the background. It has red and green concord grapes.
There are several places to sit in the courtyard and in the gardens.
We have several gardens, including this space which features a covered swing. Enjoy our garden even on a rainy day! A perfect place to sit and enjoy the day!
Some of our elopements and small weddings are in the courtyard (sometimes using this arbor) and others are in the lower garden. In the Winter, wedding ceremonies are usually in front of the fireplace.
This is one of the bedrooms in "The Farmhouse."

5 out of 5Our 47th anniversary made special! May 2012
May 28, 2012
My husband booked our stay at Choral Gardens as a surprise for me on our anniversary. Carolyn and Ralph were the sweetest people and so helpful in making suggestions about local restaurants and shows. We stayed for 2 nights in the Sunshine Suite...beautifully kept and decorated suite. There were snacks and drinks provided. We had the pleasure of experiencing one of Carolyn's fantastic breakfasts with Ralph as the attentive server. What a wonderful place to be. Thank you Carolyn and Ralph. We can't wait to come back. The McHugh's

4.8 out of 5Thinking of reasons to go back to Staunton Choral Gardens
January 10, 2010
Having traveled the US several times and always staying in traditional hotels, I stepped out of my comfort zone to book in a Bed and Breakfast. Well, if only I had known it was this delightful. Of course, Carolyn and Ralph really went the extra mile in helping me during the huge snowstorm - checking weather reports - making certain I was warm enough. I stayed in the Carriage House on the main property. This is a unique property - offering privacy and alot of history. Everything was comfortable - especially the BED - awesome! I was so impressed with the property and more importantly...with the care and attention to detail of the owners. I live in sunny Florida but believe me...I will be back to this stunning B&B very soon.
5 out of 5Charming Hospitality
November 25, 2009
My husband and I were only able to spend one night at this lovely home. The inn keepers were very gracious. We wish that we could have stayed longer. Perhaps we will have another chance in the future. We highly recommend Choral Gardens if you are in the Staunton Area.
5 out of 5Charming, and Pet Friendly, Too
November 10, 2009
It’s hard to pick what’s best – the fabulous location… the three course breakfast… or the quaint, historic carriage house where Robert E. Lee’s horse, Traveller, is rumored to have been boarded… but we’d have to say we loved everything about this B&B and, especially, its lovely, hospitable and knowledgeable innkeepers, Carolyn & Ralph. The carriage house where we stayed is just behind the main house and is dog friendly, as is most of the town of Staunton, where shopkeepers welcomed our golden retriever, Oakley. Breakfasts were outstanding, the bed was incredible, and there’s so much to do in and around Staunton from hiking to Shakespeare, fine dining, farmers markets and much, much more.
5 out of 5Latest Visit Better than Ever!
June 16, 2009
Just finished my annual trip to Staunton. My stay at the Staunton Choral Gardens Bed and Breakfast was better than ever. The already beautiful rooms were upgraded with new finish carpentry and paint. (I got the tour from the friendly owners. You can see the improvements on the website now too--I took a look. I love this place!) The grounds and building exterior have also evolved to an even nicer state of appearance. And the breakfast was truly elegant, wholesome and delicious! That wonderful breakfast set me up for a great day!
