The historic Carriage House will sleep 2 - 4 people (king bed + sleeper sofa). It's a romantic and very special accommodation offering a lot of space and complete privacy. In the main inn, we have 3 guest rooms and 1 of them has the possibility of combining an additional room to make a nice suite. There's also a "snack room" with a small refrigerator and microwave, as well as a coffee maker, snacks, dishes, and even a bistro table. Enjoy our gardens. We have several and they provide an ideal spot for a small wedding, elopement, or renewal of vows ceremony. Many of our guests enjoy sitting in the courtyard in the early evening and enjoying a glass of wine or other beverage. Breakfast is a special time and please tell us if you have any special requests. We serve a nutritious multi-course breakfast even during the week. We have cable and wireless access at the main inn, in The Carriage House, and in our vacation rental houses.
The Carriage House is an award-winning historic two-story building located in the gardens behind the Main Inn. Upstairs is the king bed and rocking chairs overlook the gardens. On the first floor is a living room/dining room area. We have a separate kennel for guests who are bringing their dog. Another pet-friendly accommodation is one of vacation rental houses, The Craftsman. We welcome guests traveling with their pets and want them to enjoy our B&B, too.
This room is in the Main Inn. It is a large sunny room with a queen bed. There's a fireplace with electric logs. The ensuite bathroom has a tub/shower. Two seating areas add comfort for our guests -- two chairs in front of the fireplace and a table and two chairs at one of the windows overlooking downtown Staunton.
This room has a queen bed. There's also an electric fireplace. The private hall bathroom has a tub/shower. It's located near the "snack room" which has a guest refrigerator and microwave for our guests, as well as a coffee maker, glassware, dishes and even a bistro table. Snacks and beverages are always available.
Our smallest room is The Garden Room, but it has a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. It overlooks the back gardens and is bright and sunny. Access to the Snack Room, with microwave and refrigerator, and another small room with a TV, provide additional space for guests to spread out.
This accommodation is an entire house, and we book it as a vacation rental house. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are three very spacious bedrooms, each with queen beds. The living room has a fireplace. There's a formal dining room and a den. Front and back porches plus a patio offer additional space. Pet-friendly, too!!

We arrived on a Friday early evening and Carolyn promptly checked us in and made sure we had awesome seats for the Shakespeare play. As we were behind, she even called the local sandwich shop to see if they could accommodate us for a quick bite before the show. Finally, she determined what our preferences were for breakfast and what time. After a wonderful evening at the theater and an amazing Italian dinner at Emilio's, we showed up to the dining room in the charming main house for an unbelievable 3 course breakfast of fresh berries over vanilla yogurt, a light vegetable and cheese omelet and Virginia ham with 12 grain toast. The coffee and orange juice was just what we needed to sustain us for a full day exploring all Staunton had to offer, from the farmers market to Sun Spot, our favorite glass gallery where we were privilege to watch a master at his craft creating beautiful glass blown ornaments. We returned to the Staunton Chorale Gardens to enjoy a glass of wine outside at the water garden while listening to the birds and enjoying the serene surroundings. After a restful night in the Carriage House, we returned to the main house for another amazing breakfast of poached pears with granola and pancakes, sausage, maple syrup and whipped cream along with the amazing coffee yet again. The inn is beautifully appointed with antiques and comfortable surroundings. The Carriage house is extremely charming and full of history. The host is most gracious. If you end up in Staunton, Virginia, you will not find better hospitality anywhere.

My husband booked our stay at Choral Gardens as a surprise for me on our anniversary. Carolyn and Ralph were the sweetest people and so helpful in making suggestions about local restaurants and shows. We stayed for 2 nights in the Sunshine Suite...beautifully kept and decorated suite. There were snacks and drinks provided. We had the pleasure of experiencing one of Carolyn's fantastic breakfasts with Ralph as the attentive server. What a wonderful place to be. Thank you Carolyn and Ralph. We can't wait to come back. The McHugh's

Carolyn made our elopement magical by taking care of ALL the details so we could be worry-free on our big day! Despite the last-minute notice, she arranged a gorgeous bouquet and reception (the cake and sparkling cider were delicious), set us up with our wedding officiant, beautifully photographed us, and made us feel completely comfortable. We did not stay after the ceremony, but we look forward to returning for one of our summer getaways!

After deciding that it was better to put several thousand dollars towards the down-payment on a house, my fiance and I wanted to have a small wedding - and the Choral Gardens was the perfect place. Carolyn and Ralph were fantastic as they looked over every detail, the location was great, the food wonderful, and the accommodations comfortable. We stayed in the Carriage House as it was pet-friendly, and enjoyed the seclusion while being so close to the main house. I can highly recommend the Choral Gardens and we will be sure to be back for anniversaries!

Our son and his fiancee chose this venue for their small 'elopement wedding' and we were all extremely happy with their choice. Carolyn Avalos and her husband, Ralph, welcomed us warmly, treated us like family, and allowed us the use of the house and garden for the entire weekend. They were incredibly attentive to our every need, with Carolyn even pinning on our corsages and Ralph pouring the champagne! They are pet-friendly, which was great because the ring-bearer was a large English bulldog. Breakfast was delicious and I especially liked the tea served in beautiful bone china teapots. My husband and I will definitely return on our own to explore more of the area and to experience more of our hosts' wonderful hospitality.
