My husband and I stayed at William Cox Inn on a trip down the Blue Ridge Mountains to Ashville, NC. After our first night, we wished we had more time to just relax there. The inn is decorated with lovely antiques and has a somewhat formal feel, yet the inn keepers are friendly and helpful. The inn was immaculate and had very fine linens. The food was fresh, tasteful and well presented. Janet has her own chickens and uses fresh ingredients from her extensive garden whenever possible. A bonus are the intriging paintings, biotanical illustrations, done by her daughter who has been chosen to illustrate a book on Virginia wildflowers. A wonderful inn in which to relax and unwind the tensions of everyday life. Cathy Cutchins

By far the best b and b I've stayed at and I've been at quite a few, ranging from the prosaic to the sublime. I would put the William-Cox Inn in this latter category for sure, which considering the rates, also makes it a great value.. The William-Cox Inn itself is beautifully decorated with the type of furnishings and tchokes that are usually confined to the innkeeeper's private quarters. The gourmet breakfast is fabulous, and the hosts ,Tom and Janet, are attentive to every detail of charm and comfort. I've stayed here several times and found myself consistently at home at the William Cox Inn.

This may seem strange, but I have only sent guests here but based on their visits hold a high regard for the William Cox Inn. My daughter and son-in-law spent their honeymoon 6/2007 and 1st anniversary 6/2008 there and can't say enough about how accommodating the innkeepers, Janet and Tom Call are. For a christmas gift my we gave our friends a 1 night stay and being experienced in fine dining and accommodations this was quite suitable, and once again Janet and Tom were superb with using the very best ingredients for their meals and being very personable and hospitable with their guests . I believe that we will continue to send friends and family to the William Cox Inn and wish the innkeepers a blessed and successful business. Mrs. Cari Waldron
