Mayhurst Inn is a luxurious B&B located in the heart of Historic Virginia. The Manor House is a magnificent 9200 Sq. Ft. Italianate Victorian gem built in 1859 and is renowned for its architecture and oval-spiral staircase. Our 8 stately guest rooms, all have private baths and are designed to pamper you with amenities including: king or queen beds, luxury linens, warm fluffy robes and slippers, fine chocolates, special toiletries, free WiFi, bottled water, working fireplaces, central heat and air and Jacuzzis in some rooms. Situated on 37 acres of lawn, gardens, fields and forest Mayhurst is filled with history and romance. Mayhurst is in Orange, VA, 1 1/2 hours Southwest of Washington, D.C., 40 minutes Northeast of Charlottesville/University of Virginia, 1 hour Northwest of Richmond, and 30 minutes east of Skyline Drive.
Directions from Washington, D.C.:
From the West side of DC and Dulles Airport: 1 1/2 hours driving time.
Take I-66 West. (From Dulles take Rt. 28 south to I-66)
Use Exit 43A at Gainesville onto Rt. 29. travel 38 miles.
At the 3rd Culpeper exit, take "Route 15 South to Orange",
18 miles on Rt. 15 to, and through, Orange, VA then 1/4 mile South.
Turn right into drive one block after median of divided highway begins. There is a large white lighted sign.
From central DC, South side and Reagan National Airport: 1 1/2 hours driving time
Take I-95 South to Fredericksburg, approx. 50 miles
Exit #130B "Route 3" West
Travel 15 miles to Wilderness Corner, turn left onto Rt. 20 West
Travel 20.3 miles into Orange
At T-intersection, turn left on Route 15. Travel 7/10 mile to where divided highway median begins
Turn right into our drive and travel 1/4 mile up hill to the Inn. The Inn is not visible from Rt. 15
From Richmond and South: 1 hour driving time
Take I-64 West to Exit 136 "Orange, Zion Crossroads Rt. 15"
Travel North on Rt 15 for 19 miles through the Gordonsville traffic circle and North to Orange, VA.
When center median of the Rt 15 divided highway ends, turn around SAFELY. You will now be traveling South on Rt 15 for 200 yards. Turn right into our driveway.
Look for a large lighted white sign. The Inn is not visible from Rt. 15.
From I-81 and West:
Take I-64 east to Exit 136 "Orange, Zion Crossroads Rt. 15"
Continue as above - Nearest major airport: Charlottesville, VA (CHO-Charlottesville-Albemarle) 29 miles

Exit Airport on Airport Rd - East, 1.5 miles to intersection with Rt 29. Take Rt 29 North for 8 MIles to Ruckerville, VA. Turn Right (East) on Rt 33 East for 11 Miles to Gordonville traffice circle, take Rt 15 North for 9 miles toward Orage, VA.

"School House" cottage. The fully restored one room plantation school house (c1837) now with full bath, full kitchen, bedoom and fireplace, central air and heat. Going "back to school" was never more romantic or comfortable.

Jack is a retired Army Officer, avid gardener, amateur cook, experienced parachutist and scuba diver, former baseball coach & umpire, and an enthusiastic historian.
Pat raised 3 children, moved 15 times in 30 years and was a social worker & Alzheimer/Dementia specialist. She is a fantastic cook and experienced homemaker/decorator who loves meeting & talking with guests & taking care of their needs. - The innkeepers speak: English
