Incredible breakfast- serene setting- fabulous hosts- The Inn is always one of my favorite stops on the way to and from DC. The rooms are charming wi. th extremely comfortable bedding. We will be stopping by again next Summer.

Built in 1891 in the classic Queen Anne style the Inn on Poplar Hill sit on a hill overlooking historic Orange Virginia. Enjoy our 28 acres of park like grounds, wildflower meadow, and fishing pond. All within walking distance of town.Relax in the queen sized canopy bed or read a book in your private sitting area. The Rose room is warm and cozy, with a large bathroom and private sitting area. Soak in the original antique claw foot tub.
The Magnolia Rooms King canopy bed is made with luxary linens and piled high with pillows. This is our largest room, complete with day bed a large bathroom and private dressing area.What stay in the country would be complete with out a a proper SIT on a large wrap aroung front porch. Enjoy your morning coffee with the Washington Post, or bring your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy the afternoon shade.
There is always a shaddy spot perfect for an afternoon nap, or stroll our 28 wonderful acres. You are welcome to pick wildflowers in the meadow, or try your luck at the fishing pond. We added over 600 fish this past spring.Enjoy a game of billards in front of the fire in our large game room. There is a wide selection of games, a grand piano and a large screen digital TV.
Take a brisk winter walk on our 28 acres of park like grounds.Candlelight casts a warm glow during the daily breakfast. A full county breakfast includes fruit, home-baked delights and a main course which changes daily to ensure the freshest ingredients. We always offer two choices for the main course, an egg dish, such as over stuffed omletes or eggs in a basket or Pecan Waffles, French Toast or Pancakes. Most guest don't have room for lunch.
