They were very friendly and welcoming when we got there. The stay was very nice, the house is beautiful, especially the wrap around porch. Breakfast of a mushroom omlette, sausage, snap peas, bread, fruit, hash browns etc. was delicious!

We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years and I have to say this is one of the best. Lill and Gria are delightful innkeepers. They are wonderful about sharing their knowledge of the history that surrounds them. They are very thougtful to their guest needs. We also had the most wonderful breakfasts!!! When we get to go back to Orange we will definitely be staying here again. - Thanks for your hospitality - Lori Dean

The house was gorgeous. The common areas were wonderful - both interior and exterior. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and reading. We stayed in the suite, which was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The food was good, but not as "gourmet" as I was expecting for the price - we had the prix fixe dinner in addition to the breakfast. I had hoped for food that I would rave about. Instead, it was food I can't really complain about. Ingredients were all hi quality and fresh. But I was hoping more for "magazine picture quality" plates. Didn't happen. The food just wasn't what I have come to expect from a nice B&B. Granted, I am somewhat of a foodie, but still . . . . And the dinner wasn't served by candlelight as advertised. Also, the owner had an attitude that SHE knew what was best for us food-wise and health-wise that was somewhat off-putting. She would serve the food with a remark such as "This is fresh from our garden" and then add something like "And it's much better for you than the typical food Americans usually eat because . . . . " We just didn't want to hear that EVERY time she served a dish! All in all a decent experience, just not a great one. If I were to go back to that area I would find another place to stay next time, and it's not a place I would recommend to my friends.
