Orchard House B&B - Where friends become family.™ A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the Orchard House B&B. Built in 1874, it was the homestead for the local apple orchards for many years. Upon arrival, relax in a rocking chair on the front porch with a glass of lemonade or iced tea and enjoy fresh baked cookies. Take a romantic stroll around our picturesque 12-acre Victorian farmhouse. Revisit your youth by swinging from an old oak or skipping rocks on the pond. Doze off in a hammock or take a dip in the Pool (in season). Nestled in the core of the Virginia countryside, we are surrounded by the breath-taking Blue Ridge Mountains, yet only a short drive away from the arts & entertainment of downtown Charlottesville. Regardless of what you do at the Orchard House B&B, you are sure to enjoy good food, experience great hospitality and ensure lasting memories.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. While leaves were not at peak any longer, we had a most enjoyable trip to several wineries with some of the other guests. Richard, our host, was friendly and helpful (as well as being a great wine-tasting teacher and chauffeur to the vineyards) and is a thoughtful photographer and great cook! Would recommend a stay at the Orchard House and look forward to returning next year!

My wife and I stayed in the farmhouse which was charming. The room was large and the bed comfy. We were especially surprized by the homemade banana bread that was waiting for us when we arrived (delicious). Although the HVAC unit was a bit noisy, all in all we enjoyed our stay.

I was pleased with the stay and the lovely room, I would have liked however a slightly larger TV. Though reading my book was just fine. Loved the kitchen in the small house, everything was easy access and the pumpkin muffins were very good. Thank you!

The house was beautiful, the room was extremely nice with your very own bathroom. Richard and Deborah were a delight!! They were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Me and my double cousin even got the massage package and Melanie of the Corner Spa was absolutely wonderful. I can't wait until I will be able to stay again ...hopefully with nicer weather so I can explore their grounds, lake and hammock! I recommend the Orchard House to anyone that wants a delightful time without the very expensive cost.

We stayed at the Apple Blossom Farm House affiliated with the Orchard House Bed and Breakfast in September of 2013. The property was lovely, the amenities were exactly as promised, and the entire stay was very comfortable. My only critique is that the house seemed to have some moisture issues - everything felt just a little humid and damp. The feeling went away when we turned on the window unit AC in our bedroom, but when the AC was off, the dampness returned. It was not hot during our stay - 72 degrees - but we kept the air on to combat the humidity. That said, the farm house is in excellent condition and you can't beat it for the price. It's an excellent alternative for folks on a budget or people looking for the comfort of home without the full-service of a bed and breakfast. Would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this 1870s bed & breakfast. Marvelous and spacious room, convenient coffee service in upstairs hall, delicious breakfasts, helpful and friendly hosts. Would certainly stay there again, if the opportunity arose.
