  • Inn Details

Come experience the romance and history of the Inn at Warner Hall, on the plantation created in 1642 by George Washington's great-great grandfather. Plan your visit to this wonderfully restored mansion, soon to be one of the finest country inns on the East Coast. Imagine your vacation, a wonderful wedding, a family reunion or business conference on our 38 acre waterfront retreat. Come savor the peace and pleasures of country life and fine dining. Listed by both the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission, Warner Hall continues to be of major architectural and genealogical significance in American history. Warner Hall has long been considered one of the premiere properties in the Virginia Tidewater area. The property is located 3-1/2 miles from U.S. Route 17 and Colonial Williamsburg and the Hampton Roads area are just 30 minutes away. Virginia Beach, Charlottesville, Washington DC, Baltimore and the Raleigh/Durham area are within a 1-1/2 to 4 hour drive. The comfort and convenience of our guests is our primary concern. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished with a combination of period antiques, eclectic furnishings, art and sumptuous Schumacher fabrics and wallcoverings. All of the Inn's eleven spacious guestrooms have 10' ceilings, comfortable sitting areas, private bath, individual climate control, telephone and CD clock radio. Our down comforters & pillows, spa robes, bottled water, chocolates and Gilchrist & Soames bath products will ensure a delightful stay!

I really liked that the staff was flexible for someone who had driven most of the night to get there, and let me relax for a few hours with an active wifi. Heavens knows where the next starbucks was. The food was excellent, noise level in the rooms was acceptably low, and there were lots of interesting books about the Warner and Lewis families. Unfortunately I missed their Friday and Saturday even dinner, must have misread the advertising as I was hoping to try something scrumptious on a Sunday. In all definitely worth the stop.

We spent our 5th Anniversary this past summer at this wonderful, peaceful place. We stayed in "Austin's Desire." I am not sure what the views from the other rooms were like, but this suite takes you away from everyone, you feel as if you are there all by yourself. A getaway at the getaway! Whatever reason you find yourself visiting for, make sure you line up, fills up very quickly. When you are there for your stay you will find out why.

We spent our 20th anniversary at the Inn and we were delighted by the beauty of the inn and its surroundings, the simple elegance of the rooms, the warmth of the owners and staff and the relaxing and friendly atmosphere. We took the bikes for a nice ride, we read by the boat house and enjoyed the quietness, we were extremely pleased with the dining experience, be it breakfast and dinner. It was a wonderful weekend for us in a wonderful setting.

Just returned from a two night getaway at this beautiful historic property. What a history of Presidents, queens and others who have walked here! The inn is beautiful with spacious rooms, many areas to sit and relax, wonderful roaring fireplaces on a cold day and true hospitality delivered by all. Theresa and Troy are great hosts, truly interested in their guests. Don't miss Chef Eric's fabulous tasting dinner-we hate every bite! Can't wait to plan a another romantic getaway with my husband.

The Inn at Warner Hall is truly a treasure - we thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay in this elegant, comfortable and luxurious Inn. The rooms were beautifully furnished and we were treated like royalty. The historical aspects of the Inn, as well as its proximity to Williamsburg and Jamestown, were an added bonus - although it would have been perfect just to sit on the boat dock or drink coffee on the porch all day long. The innkeepers and their staff were friendly and accommodating, and we understand why the Inn at Warner Hall would be perfect for weddings, family reunions, romantic get-aways and luxurious vacations. We hope to be back before too long!
