"Lackawanna" (an Indian name meaning "meeting of waters")is an appropriate name for this lovely 1869 Italianate Style house since the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River meet at the end of our road. This beautiful home with eleven foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows remains structurally the same as when it was built. A beautifully restored example of this style of architecture. Now listed on the State Historic Register.
