On Keegan Pond Bed and Breakfast is situated on 5 acres in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The area's four major battlefields are accessible from the property over surface roads that are lined mostly with small farms and residences. Artifacts found on the property indicate that Union scouts occupied the field during the opening engagement of the Battle of Chancellorsville. Fredericksburg, with its antique shops and Colonial history is only five miles away. Today, guests enjoy a gracious atmosphere and a delightful breakfast in this lovely, early home (circa 1870)with 3 guest rooms, one of which is a large suite. All rooms are decorated with antiques, all have queen size beds, central air and heat. The guest rooms have Irish names which reflect inspiration, harmony, and tranquility. Walks along the spring-fed pond with the ducks and geese, or lawn croquet fill early mornings or lazy afternoons.
