The Watson House

Featured on The Learning Channel's "Romantic Escapes", the Watson House is a recently restored Victorian Country home built in the late 1800's by David Robert Watson. Nestled in the heart of Chincoteague, it is within walking distance from favorite shops and restaurants. Guestrooms are tastefully and individually decorated with charming Victorian and Country antiques, nostalgic pieces, wicker and many other special touches. For those fun-minded adventurers, complimentary use of bicycles is offered to explore the beautiful islands. Virginia's only resort island, Chincoteague is world famous for its wild ponies that roam Assateague's seashore. Chincoteague is the gateway to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and Assateague National Seashore. A visit to Chincoteague Island is sure to leave you with memories you will cherish forever.

Our lovely side porch is where our guests enjoy breakfasts from spring until late fall. It is also a great place to enjoy refreshments anytime.
Our front porch is a favorite spot for most of our guests. You can relax and watch the world go by.This is our beautiful Bayview Room. The Bayview has a lovely sitting area in front of three bay windows. The bath room is large and has a clawfoot bath tub. A favorite for romantic celebrations.
This is our Sun Room, a favorite of many of our guests. This room includes a bright enclosed porch furnished with wicker chairs for reading or just enjoying each others company.
