This inn has rooms through which FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, & other historic figures passed. The link to important history is palpable. A very comfortable & pleasant place to stay.

The bedroom of the Tavernkeeper's Suite. The bedroom was formerly the Tavern for the Inn and this is the room where Teddy Roosevelt dined on several occasions. This room is part of a two-room suite that accomodates up to 4 adults. There is also a huge two-part bathroom. One-half of the bathroom is a two-person spa shower with bench seat which can be closed off completely and privately from the other half of the bathroom which is more like a dressing room with sink and large mirror.
The room used as the Inn's Main Dining Room had a dirt floor from 1820 until 1979. 1954 saw the first non-wood burning heat source at the Inn an American Standard Oil Furnace. 1983 was the first year for private bathrooms for every guest room.Summer Kitchen Cottage - Summer 2008 2 Story Cottage with first floor living room, housekeeping kitchen with all dinnerwear, untensils, coffee and teas, provided. Second floor has bedroom, beautifully redone bathroom and door out to private deck. Summer Kitchen Cottage is only 50 feet from the Inn and rates include breakfast in the main Inn Dining Room.
