Deer Brook Inn, a tastefully renovated circa 1820 colonial farmhouse welcomes you to Woodstock and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Recommended by the New York Times, Boston Globe and tripadvisor where we have enjoyed the #1 rating in Vermont for much of 2009. Each of our five spacious accommodations offers a full private bath, wide honey pine floors, CD music system, WiFi, air conditioning, and individual thermostat for your comfort. Enjoy a full country breakfast each morning in the dining room or on the patio. Each breakfast showcases local ingredients; fruit, a hot entrée, and home-baked goods are always a part of the Deer Brook experience. Deer Brook Inn is close to the Killington ski area as well as several other slopes. Summer and winter sporting activities abound including cycling, golf, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and both alpine and Nordic skiing. In addition, some of the finest shopping, dining, cultural landmarks, and sightseeing that Vermont has to offer are right at our doorstep. Our location is also convenient to Dartmouth College and other educational institutions.

    The perfect B&B experience!!

    July 15, 2011

We stayed a week at the Deer Brook Inn recently. David and George were the perfect innkeepers/hosts. They were warm, funny, knowledgeable and eager to make our stay comfortable. The inn is an historic home, beautifully restored. The rooms are better than the pictures (if you are used to the fisheye lenses from websites!). Our room had some of the original rough hewn beams with wooden pegs exposed and beautiful heart pine floors. The doors and hardware in our room were original to the house from the early 1800s. Breakfasts were delicious, creatively prepared and served with great care. Breakfast conversation was lively and interesting among the guests and with the hosts. David and George encouraged us to go to the local market and get fresh fruit, local breads and cheeses, and wine and come back to enjoy on the patio out back. They provided glasses, plates, napkins and utensils, and had a refrigerator for guests to use. We are long time B&Bers having traveled the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Ireland. This was one of our favorite B&B experiences. Clyde Robinette & Romayne Smith

Best service ever at a B&B!

    May 02, 2011

What a pleasant surprise we had at the Deer Brook Inn in Woodstock, Vermont. After spending 2 days in the mountains in Maine, we were ready for a few creature comforts, but received so much more! Everything was great, from the personal greeting from George when we arrived (literally swinging open the door before my hand was raised to knock), to what may be the best breaksfast I have had at a B&B anywhere - seriously David, featherbed eggs? Maple poached pear? Heaven. The innkeepers David and George are the reason for the rave review... everything else was fine too, but they are excellent hosts and what makes Deer Brook Inn a true gem! One small tip - the inn is a short drive outside of Woodstock, so make sure you have a DD in your party to ferry you home after one of your great meals at the Red Rooster or Bentley's (recommended by George, of course!) I've never felt so comfortable in a B&B setting... regrettably we only spent one night...next time we will stay longer!

    The Best B & B in Woodstock

    June 18, 2009

We have been traveling to Woodstock regularly for over 15 years. We have stayed at many of the B & B's in the area, and nothing compares to the incredible experience we shared at The Deer Brook Inn. The owners, David and George, treated us like family from the moment we arrived, until we drove out the parking lot. Words cannot begin to explain the unbelievable breakfasts they serve. As a certified food-aholic, trust me when I say the food is beyond anything you have experienced at any Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are perfect in every way also. We stayed in "The Schubert Suite", and it was like home away from home. Do yourself a favor and relax just once at The Deer Brook Inn in Woodstock. You will return again and again and again....

    A great weekend in Woodstock!

    August 27, 2008

We loved our stay at the Deer Brook Inn! The hosts were very knowledgeable and helpful, they were also a blast. We started our mornings laughing. The room was comfy, clean and had some great history hanging on the walls. Our multi-course breakfast was a delicious surprise each morning. We could't ask for a better place to stay while in Woodstock.
