I travel a lot for my job. Sometimes in remote areas there are no hotels, so I end up at a B&B. I always DREAD this, because I have had a lot of negative experiences with B&Bs in the past. (Weird, creepy, run down, etc.) Wilmington Inn & Tavern was the exact opposite of that. I still had reservations pulling up the driveway, but as soon as I opened the front door and saw the innkeepers dogs on the couch looking up at me (the most well-behaved, quiet, amazing dogs- p.s., am allergic to dogs but had no problems with these) I was immediately at ease. Wilmington Inn & Tavern epitomizes the ideal B&B experience. Patrick was amazing, very friendly and considerate. It was, hands down, the most tastefully decorated B&B I have ever stayed at. (No doilies, no dolls, none of that twee B&B nonsense.) My room was clean and comfortable. The common areas were also comfortable and WELCOMING- I did not feel at all awkward working in the common space. Patrick even lit a fire. I ended up reading by the fire with the smaller dog in my lap (he was friendly too). It was the happiest I had been all week and I am so thankful for everything Patrick did to make my stay comfortable. Breakfast was also amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious and there were so many great options I wasn't even sure what to choose. This is the only B&B I have ever stayed at that I would actively make an effort to return to if I was in the area in the future. TL,DR: A+, everything flawless, would strongly recommend, anyone giving them less than a perfect 5.0 is lying

My husband and I took a be-lated honeymoon purposely in the fall to see the changing of the leaves. Living in FL we don't get much of that and I've never experienced such an amazing display of God's creation. We certainly weren't disappointed to say the least. We stayed the first week of our 10-day vacation at the Wilmington Inn and Tavern and liked it so much we booked an extra night after a stint in New York City on the way back to the Burlington, VT airport. The Innkeeper, Patrick, and his family were delightful and he cooks an AWESOME breakfast (I tried everything on the menu and had the veggie skillet strata twice, although the pancakes were my absolute favorite). I would enthusiastically recommend this charming place to anyone I knew traveling to this area. It is homey and we were treated like family instead of just guests.

Stayed 2 nights and had the smallest room in the inn. However, the common areas are really comfortable and pleasant and Patrick could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious! We felt so welcomed and at home during our stay. A lovely weekend! We look forward to returning.

We stayed in the 'suite'. A bit pricey but nice to relax with a fireplace, sofa, large wood beam room and very comfortable king bed especially after touring VT and staying in small rooms and small beds.We thought "Tavern" also meant dinner but they don't serve dinner anymore despite postings on the VT B&B website and others that show pictures of white table cloth seating. The breakfast, however, is FABULOUS! Full service from a fabulous menu, unique and delicious! The tavern bar is open. We ate ate the "Anchor" good seafood and cocktails. Not much else in Wilmington at the crossroads of Rte 100 at Rte 9 but it was the perfect place to stop after driving south from Montpelier on Rte 100 one of Vermont;s prettiest drives during the 'leaf-peeping' season. Glad we reserved early as they were full mid-week. No AAA discount.

This is a wonderful B&B, in a quaint New England Village. The room and ambiance of the Inn are outstanding, and the Innkeeper is hospitable and helpful. Highly recommend the Wilmington Inn to anyone staying in the Mount Snow area, especially in the Fall Foliage and Ski Seasons. R&B, Bristol, CT

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, enjoyable stay in southern Vermont...look no further than The Wilmington Inn. We were pleasantly surprised with everything at the Inn. From it's country feel and charm to our very friendly and accommodating Inn keeper Patrick. The Wimington Inn is very deserving of a return visit....soon. Don and Maya

We only stayed one night and had I known more about the area and how lovely both the Inn and Innkeepers were I would have booked more nights. The Inn definitely exceeded my experiences! The room we stayed in was very nice, with a super comfy bed; the dark chocolates left on the nightstand were an excellent touch. We especially enjoyed the large living room area which was open for guest to enjoy. My husband and I relaxed, reading our books, playing with the Innkeepers dogs, and enjoyed complimentary tea and homemade chocolate chocolate-chip cookies. Breakfast was amazing and made me wish I had some cast-iron pans at home so I could try my hand at recreating the fresh veggie frittata I had. Cannot recommend enough and we hope to visit again!

This was a great B & B. We have stayed at other places in Wilmington and this was the nicest by far. The room was clean and the meals were great. Patrick and Danny couldn't have been more accommodating. No was not part of their vocabulary. The dogs were a great hit. We were part of a group of more than 20 people who stayed there and it was wonderful. This place is a keeper.
Our "round room" is particularly spacious and enjoys great privacy as well as mornign sun through the bay windows. The room also has a huge Sleep 2 Live (Kingsdown) King-sized mattress and an overly wide whirlpool bath. It is located in the Main House on the second floor and includes a mission leather reading chair.
Betty's has a queen bed and a bathtub and shower. It is standard sized but quietly located on the second floor of the Carraige House.
A cozy room with complete privacy. This room is very popular and includes A/C in the summer as well as cable TV. It is located in the Main House. Shower only bathroom.
Chimney Hill includes a large wicker queen bed, A/C, cable TV and a shower only bathroom. It is very quiet and private and is located in the Main House.
Great room with a four post wood queen bed overlooking the large oaks on our front lawn with a large whirlpool bed. Located near the stairs but a guest favorite!
The Molly Stark Suite is a terrific full suite including a seperate living area with a working gas fireplace and cable television. The bathroom includes a large whirlpool bathtub for two located directly beneath an oversized skylight. The bedroom is spacious and very private. The room is located on the second floor in the Carriage House.
