The Best!

5 on April 22, 2016

My boyfriend and I stayed at this beautiful B&B for our anniversary and it couldn't have been better. I've worked in the hospitality field for 10+ years and I was amazed at how clean, professional, and friendly they were. The minute we got there we felt right at home. The breakfast was incredible and the owners were completely down to earth and very knowledgable about the area. We will absolutely be back!! Jamie & Eric

Great Weekend Retreat

5 on February 01, 2016

Came up from NY for a ski weekend and couldn't have stayed in a better place. Rooms were clean and very comfortable (we had the Windham room) and the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We would not hesitate to go back for a quiet and relaxing stay. This B&B is our default if we are ever in the area again.

Best place to stay in Wilmington!

Pros: - perfect walking distance to downtown - amazing breakfast in the morning, served with a smile! - rooms were cleans and the jacuzzi tub was more then we could ask for! - the staff was hospitable, placing a bottle of champagne in our room to surprise my partner! Cons: - the stay was too short! Next time we will stay longer!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed only one night, but wish we could have extended our stay. Very comfortable, restful night, fantastic breakfast tailored to my restrictive diet. My husband with no dietary restrictions also raved about his meal. Beautiful, well appointed inn with thoughtful staff eager to please.

Such a wonderful place to be...

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Wilmington Inn last weekend and I cannot rave enough about this place. The property itself is gorgeous and the decor inside makes you feel like you're at home. Robin was so warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the town and neighboring towns. She told us where to eat and go. She even told us about this spice place that was amazing! I got some very cool spices and lavender for my mom who has been searching far and wide for it. We also met the owners who were lovely. I will absolutely be staying here again. My favorite part was that my fiance and I could walk across the street to town for food and cute shops and walk right home. My favorite store was The Incurable Romantic. Beautiful jewelry and gifts. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

we loved it

Wilmington Inn and Tavern

no wifi signal in the room. It was ok for us for our one night stay but this is an important feature for all travelers that had been a common problem in many properties and most have now recognized the need to correct this. Hosts were very pleasant and the breakfast was outstanding.

Charming & friendly

Very pleaasant

This was a wonderful place to stay. The location at the edge of town is scenic and convenient. The inn and rooms were very clean and well-maintained. And the inn-keepers were friendly and helpful with tips for things to do. I would recommend this inn for anyone visiting the area.

Signature Dish

Cast iron skillet frittata
We par cook three farm fresh eggs with grilled seasonal vegetables and transfer them once they start to firm to a hot buttery cast iron skillet mixing in a touch of heavy cream and place the skillet into an oven. The cream lightens the eggs and makes them fluff up. Once the middle is fully cooked we sprinkle cheese over top liberally and we finish the skillet in a broiler briefly to melt the cheese and lightly brown the top. As with all of our dishes this is served with your choice of crispy bacon or sausage patties and a choice of toast.
