Drive up the quiet country road to our beautiful B&B, a Select Registry property and an historic 1850's home near Sugarbush where we invite you to enjoy four glorious seasons for romance, relaxation and recreation. We're just one mile from Sugarbush skiing, golfing and tennis resort and adjacent to its Robert Trent Jones, Sr. championship golf course.
Up the spiral staircase from the Living Room, you'll find a quiet, cozy suite where you can relax and unwind. The decoration of the Paris Suite was inspired from Peter and Susan's 3 year stay near Versailles in France. Louis XIV, along with his wife Marie Antoinette, was responsible for the great expansion of Palace of Versailles. The four poster canopy bed with Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattress, down pillows and comforter is somewhat in the style of the Louis XIV epoch, although much more comfortable! Note that there is a 2-night minimum for booking this room.
The Wildflower Room is a romantic retreat featuring a king bed with down pillows and comforter. The bed, if you choose, can be made up as twins. (A $25 fee per stay applies.) When you reserve on-line please note in the comments which configuration you prefer. The ceiling beams are the original hand hewn roof rafters of the farmhouse. The windows facing south and east make this a really bright room in the morning, and it is one of the best rooms to admire our gardens in all seasons. The Wildflower Room's private ensuite bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub
The Allen Suite is in the original part of the house on the main floor. The suite is named for the Allen family, who built this house and farmed here for over 100 years. The Allen Suite features a king-size bed that if you choose, can be made up as twins. (A $25 fee per stay applies.) When you reserve on-line please note in the comments which configuration you prefer. The main part of the room has a double bed sized convertible sofa/hide-a-bed and a cozy gas fired wood stove. The private en suite bathroom has a wide single person size Jacuzzi tub with a shower over it.
The Mountain Room, with its pine floors, hand-sewn quilts, and gas-fired wood stove is one of the warmest, coziest spots in all of New England! Up one flight of stairs, the room features a king-size bed, and is decorated with paintings and photos with a mountain and skiing theme. The private en suite bathroom bath has a double Jacuzzi tub and corner shower.
Up its own private spiral stairway, the Highland Room features a Scottish Theme reflecting Peter's homeland. It has a queen-size bed bedecked with tartan, a comfortable couch for sitting and a gas fired wood stove. Old barn-board walls and exposed hand hewn rafters give the room the feeling of a quaint highland cottage. The Highland Room private en suite bathroom features a gleaming brass sink and a Jacuzzi tub with a shower over it.
The Logan Suite is a lovely two room self-catering apartment at the top of our modern event barn (used for events, not animals!). (Breakfast with our other guests is still included!) It is very private and has beautiful views of the golf course and the Warren Hills. The suite is named for our son Logan who used it in its pre-renovated form on several occasions when he has visited us from Ottawa. The suite is ideal for a couple to have a getaway while enjoying a ski holiday or warm weather activities, or just to relax.
The Bluebonnet Room has original wide board pine floors, and features a painting of Texas bluebonnets as well as mementos of the Lone Star State where Peter and Susan lived for a number of years. The room offers a comfortable seating area in front of the gas fireplace. The private en suite full bath has a tub/shower/steambath combo.
The Garden Room, a private L-shaped room with four south facing walls, has its own private entrance near the side parking area. You can also reach the room via a spiral staircase from the living room. The suite features a gas fired wood stove on a brick hearth. There are rocking-reclining chairs to curl up in and an extremely comfortable queen-size bed. The private ensuite bathroom has a tile and glass steambath/shower that big enough for two and a deep tub great for soaking.
The Stetson Suite is named for the late Pat and Dale Stetson who founded West Hill House Bed and Breakfast back in the 1980s. The Suite is on the main floor and features a queen-size bed and a sunny sitting room. In the sitting room, there is a futon couch suitable for one other person and a gas-fired wood stove. The private en suite bathroom is the only one at West Hill House to feature both a two-person walk-in steam shower as well as a Jacuzzi tub.

So glad we chose to stay at West Hill B & B for our ski vacation. It was close to the ski hills, we had a very comfy bed and the breakfasts were scrumptious. The owners Susan and Peter are very friendly, welcoming and super organized.

A must stay place in the Sugarbush, Warren Area. Innkeepers are outstanding and very accommodating. Great knowledge of the area and outstanding providers of great places to eat and things to do while staying and the B&B.

Peter and Susan have nailed it here! Every other review couldn't have been more right about this place! It's situated tucked away on the side of a mountain road with rolling pastureland, and about 4 min drive from Sugarbush mountain and a bunch of top-tier restaurants and bars. Peter and Susan are incredibly hospitable and welcoming. Their rooms are charming, extremely clean, and well-prepared for guests. Beds are lovely too! They allow free reign of their large home with multiple sitting areas and fireplaces aplenty! Breakfast was to die for- very delicious food home-made by Susan! Their honor bar was a very welcome addition to our time there as well. As Susan said " You won't go broke, I won't get rich." We loved our time there, and would absolutely recommend it to others! Personally, we stayed in the Logan Suite and the hot tub in the bathroom was really fabulous! Thank you Susan and Peter for such a lovely stay!

My wife Lanette and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at West Hill House B&B, which is nestled in the beautiful hills surrounding the Mad River Valley of Vermont. This was our first trip to Vermont, the occasion being our tenth anniversary. After deciding on the Mad River Valley as the location for our second honeymoon, I did some research on places to stay in the area. I was very impressed with the reviews I read about West Hill House. When we found out they are listed in the Select Registry, that sealed the deal for us and we contacted Peter and Susan to book our stay there. I was impressed right away by their excellent communication. They take time out of their certainly busy days to take care of their couples to make sure their arrival is as comforting and trouble-free as possible. The house itself is not small at all, but feels cozy, and you feel at home right away. Peter and Susan are very much real people and made us feel right at ease, so we felt more like we were staying with favorite relatives rather than innkeepers. Each of the many rooms in the house has been decorated with a unique theme. Ours was the Mountain Room, which was comfortable and spacious. Wood floors, a pot-belied furnace, and rustic furniture made for a rich and inviting experience. Roses and chocolates awaited Lanette and brought a few tears to her eyes. Breakfast each morning was absolutely wonderful, with each meal being deliciously unique. Susan is an excellent cook, and every morning, after lively conversation with the other guests, we left with satisfied palates and full bellies. Lanette and I were so impressed with the state of Vermont and our stay at West Hill House we are certain to visit again just as soon as we are able, and when we do, there will be no debate over where we will hang our hats during our stay.
