Millbrook Inn & Restaurant
Millbrook is a classic cape-style farmhouse that dates back
to the 1850's. Thirty-year veteran innkeepers Joan and
Thom Gorman treat their guests to traditional Vermont
personalized service in a friendly, unhurried atmosphere.
The seven guest rooms are decorated with hand stenciling,
antique bedsteads, handmade quilts, have private baths
and enjoy views of the beautiful
Green Mountains. Located on picturesque Route 17,
Millbrook is quiet with a large backyard and hammock
perfect for relaxing. In the winter, the living room fireplace
blazes a warm welcome. Dining in the romantic, small
restaurant features the finest Vermont ingredients used
imaginatively to create individually prepared dishes.
Everything from pasta to bread to desserts is prepared from
scratch. In addition, Thom, the chef, lived in India for two
years, and incorporates authentic Indian dishes in the
eclectic menu. In the summer the full choice of a hearty country breakfast is served to our guests outside on the patio. Joan and Thom enjoy alpine and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter; hiking and kayaking in summer and fall, and reading any time of year. They spend their mud season (April and May) and stick season (late fall) holidays traveling the world.
