The Beatrice Suite,one of our two suites in the Featherbed Inn is a large room with a queen pencil canopy bed and a comfortable sitting area with love seat and chairs. Sit and enjoy a book with a glass of wine you can store in the wet bar area.
One of the five horses here at the Inn, this is Wink our Lippitt Morgan gelding hanging out in the pasture on one of our snowy winter days.
The inviting comfort of the Living room area is waiting for you as you come in from your days activities.
Two private rooms situated on the first floor of the Main Inn, the Susan Room features a queen size white iron bed with coordinated country quilt and window treatments to match the colonial blue trim. The Irmengard Room has two maple twin beds with old family antique quilts, antique armoire with soft stenciling on the walls. The extra large bath with full tub and shower is located in the private hallway within the suite area.
In the simple elegance of the sun filled dining room you will be delighted with a specialty breakfast. You will also notice a wonderful aroma of fresh-baked Featherbed pies coming from the kitchen as Tom is making his mom's handed-down recipes. Pie will be served on Saturday afternoons for the guests. Apple and blueberry are the favorites, however, you never know, a pumpkin, pecan or lemon meringue might show up, too!
The Fireplace room invites you to relax in the colder months by the large fieldstone fireplace, sip hot cocoa with a piece of Tom's homemade pie or play board games or foosball.
A large lovely, romantic, sun lit room with exposed beam ceilings, beautiful wood floors and pencil post canopy bed. The soft off white, rose and green country quilt cover the queen bed with matching bed skirt and curtains. A comfortable plaid settee with antique coffee table is just the spot to relax and read. A lovely picture window overlooks a meadow and large field. Private full bath room.

This was the best experience I have had at a bed & breakfast. The bed was so comfortable, the rooms spacious, the food wonderful, and the innkeepers are the absolute best!

Well the only thing missing here was Bing Crosby singing White Christmas....we have made the Featherbed Inn our B&B of choice on two occasions now, and will continue to do so for as long as the the wonderful Inn keepers Tom & Linda Gardener will have us. The setting for the Inn is idyllic and situated conveniently amidst all the main Ski resorts in the area, if you are after a warm and friendly atmosphere, "brilliant" breakfasts and a comfy bed to rest your weary bones after a great days Skiing then I can safely say you need look no further than the FBI. Our children had brilliant time here also, the grounds surrounding the Inn are extensive enabling you to you go for relaxing walks in the snow or just plain having fun. The animals and the old barn add a whole other dimension to the experience....we will be back...Brilliant! The Browns Essex, UK.
