We had a lovely time at this charming and beautiful spot. It was very clean and the friendliness of the staff was over the top. Very helpful in getting us situated and settled in. Lots of amenities in the room and a very comfortable bed. I'd stay again for sure.

Typical New England budget hotel rooms, with a very nice historic lobby and restaurant. The rooms aren't at all luxurious but perfectly comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Stowe Inn for a Valentine's Day get-away. We were very pleased with the experience. The Inn is in a lovely old building with a very cozy and comfortable feel. It is located within walking distance of the "village" of Stowe, which we liked because we walked to dinner. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The price is quite reasonable for such a nice place right in Stowe. I will go there again and recommend it as well. We did stay in the main inn, so I can't speak to the "economy" rooms in the other building. Also: we booked and paid for our reservation through bedandbreakfast.com. When we arrived, the inn was overbooked for the type of room we wanted, but solved it by offering us a free upgrade to a suite! So we ended up in room 201, which has a fireplace and a jacuzzi! Needless to say, we were very happy with this turn of events and had an even more cozy and romantic stay than we had expected. But I would recommend that if you book through this website you also give the inn a call to confirm.

I was really looking forward to our stay at a quaint B&B in Stowe. The pictures looked very appealing. However, I stay was a bit disappointing. When we checked in we were assigned to a different room because the party that was in our room the night before decided to stay another night. The room we were moved into did not have a working heater, so we had to move to another smaller room with a smaller bed. However, it had a dripping fauset that created enough noise that we asked if it could be fixed. The person at the desk said there was no maintenance person available to fix it so she tried to move us to another room, but that room had just a tiny TV wo we decided to stay in the room with the noisy drip. It never was fixed. I paid about $270 for the room and I thought it was worth no more than $70 at the most. Maintenance and minimal staffing appear to be problems. In addition it was billed as a B&B and we thought we would be getting a hot meal. The breakfast consisted of two kinds of dry cereal, some marginal fruit, and assorted dry breads. It was worse than the type of meal you get at a Days Inn or Motel 8. I would say over-rated, over-priced, and marginal.

    Innkeeper Response
We apologize for the dripping faucet. This has been fixed. We were unable to fix it that night due to needing to turn the water off. We will replace the tv asap. We do offer a continental breakfast with fruit, danish, waffles, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice. We aer offering a hot brekafast starting in December. WE hope you will come back and stay with us to see these changes.
