    Photo Album

The John Buckmaster Inn was built in 1801 and
is in the National Register of Historic Places. The names of the rooms are based on
the people that were involved with the inn/
tavern when it was built, such as Asahel Holten, who was the practicing physician in
the Shrewsbury community during the years of
1798 to 1813. John Buckmaster owned to Black-
smith Shops and was the Postmaster of Shrewsbury Center. There is much history
surrounding our Inn, we would love for you to
see for yourself!
This is a photo of our magnificent 37x12'
screened-in porch. Imagine having a glorious
breakfast while viewing our historic country
setting or having a glass of wine in the
evening. The porch is also a wonderful setting for just reading a book and unwind-
ing.
The Living Room is a unique combination of
eclectic furnishings. A wonderful down sofa
mixed with auction and Brimfield finds! The Phineas Page Room is a beautiful blue and
white room, with a cozy cannon-ball bed. This room is positioned at the back of the Inn and overlooks the backyard gardens.
