Elliot House Bed & Breakfast

We stayed for two nights at the Elliot House on our seventeen day trip to New England to see the fall colors. I was very surprised to see such a beautiful home waiting for us at such a great price. The owners have set the house up beautifully and you really felt a part of the family. This might have been due to the fact that we had similar backgrounds and interests, but even so I think they were just super nice people. The grounds are fantastic and I got a photo of the most magnificent sunrise from my bedroom window! The location is perfect for visits to Burlington and the Shelburne Museum, as well as other beautiful areas in the vicinity. Well worth a stay for sure!

Anne and George are delightful hosts, generous, accommodating, and well-informed about their beautiful area of Vermont. Clean, comfortable rooms; tasty breakfast and afternoon tea and cookies; quiet location, convenient to Shelburne/Burlington activities. Beautiful vistas from the rooms at the back of the inn.

Great hosts, great rooms, great food, everything exceeded our expectations. This is what B&B's are all about. I unconditionally recommend them to all.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the beautifully restored Elliot House. Anne & George were terrific hots. Anne was particularly helpful as a "tour director" with suggestions & directions for places to eat and to visit. My spouse and I always enjoy our stays at the Elliot House when we are in the Burlington area. We feel at home here. The accommodations are quite comfortable - an old farm house that is charming but certainly not pretentious. George & Anne are down to earth hosts. The breakfast table is practically situated right in the kitchen allowing for interaction during the food preparation process. The country breakfasts are always wonderfully filling.

This was a first for my husband & me ... and what a wonderful experience. Anne & George are lovely & warm people and made us feel very comfortable in their beautiful B&B this past May '08. We'll be back!

A beautiful property and home. Our room & bathroom were very clean. The owners and their dog were very friendly. Would highly recommend! The B&B is also very close to all the attractions.
