Meadowood Farm

  • Inn Details

Nature created the views....We create the experience.... Meadowood Farm is a place in southwestern Vermont that is a world apart; a decidedly unique mountaintop experience where back roads lead to lush horse farms and peace and quiet abound. Vistas stretch for miles. Stay in our classic farmhouse or luxury suites. Our large rooms have king beds, sitting areas with TV, and private bathrooms. Our full country breakfasts are exceptional. And we offer exquisite dinners at a reasonable price.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights recently on a tour through New England. The inn is in a perfect location - very close to Bennington but also a reasonable driving distance to Manchester and Arlington. Unfortunately, the weather was not good for our stay, but our hosts were very helpful in suggesting fun things to do in any kind of weather (Cliff even sat down and drew us a map!). Our room was large and luxurious and our bathroom was great - a fabulous single stall shower with an adjacent soaking tub. Breakfast was wonderful: fresh baked homemade muffins, omelettes one day and pancakes the next - Cliff and Donna are both great cooks. They also have 3 great dogs that make the house even more cheerful and welcoming. I can't find enough nice things to say about this inn!

We were met in the driveway, with an offer to help with our bags. The home and grounds were just beautiful. We enjoyed a glass of wine on their terrace, over looking a beautiful meadow. Donna and Cliff are seasoned Innkeepers, who make you feel very comfortable and welcome in their lovely home. They have thought of everything that you might need to make your stay comfortable, and have the best of everything. The breakfast that Donna prepared for us included, a hot apple sauce, muffins, and I chose pancakes with their maple syrup, wonderful. My only concern is that I will never be satisfied with another stay in a B&B, because they have set such a high standard. Booked this as just a place to stay and it turned into a highlight of our trip. More than satisfied from NY.

We stayed mostly because there were dogs living there and our old dog felt very much ast home, but It was truly lovely and every bit as luxurious as an inn, bhut with the quaint atmosphere of a secluded horsefarm. Having our dog let us explore the area, including visiting the horse pen and chatting with owner--- of the B & B and the horse! We had never stayed in southern VT before, and the whole exoerience was enhanced by being at the Mewadowood. Foioid w2as great and the room perfectly made up and clean and tidy. All in all, a great visit!
