    Welcome ,Backinntime, is a snapshot of a past era of high elegance with Eastlake floor to ceiling fireplaces,historic colors,magnificent antiques,however without the starch one might expect, and a friendly atmosphere greets you. Our establishment is a Victorian home built in 1860, with a European style. As you enter,you are greeted by the spectacular staircase which invites you to enter into each level of the home. Incredible woodwork, architecture and craftsmanship are evident in every room. Awake each morning to a complete breakfast,including fresh fruit, baked bread, cereal and the breakfast plate d'jour. Then spend your day in a town filled with many attractions. Visit the charming boutiques, restaurants, historic buildings, and the central park just walking distance away. The Rail-Trail offers a scenic 25 mile bike tour along the Missisquoi River. We are 30 min from Burlington and 30 min. from Montreal.Boston is several hours away as is New York,an ideal central location in a quaint town minutes away to Lake Champlain.

    We stayed for 3 days and nights...the service and atmosphere were absolutely unparalelled. The rooms we stayed in (2) were immaculate and comfy. The breakfast was home cooked and served on beautifully set tables and antique china. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this Inn. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!     I stayed at Back Inn Time for a business trip during the slow season. It is like stepping back in time. The inn is decorated with beautiful antiques and you do feel like you have stepped back in time. Pauline was wonderful. I am a very early riser and I was able to get coffee very early which is very important for me. Having wireless was also a big plus. It is not just a beautiful inn but, it is such a welcoming environment you feel just like home.

    My wife and I stayed at this wonderful place. It so relaxing and comfortable. I was amazed by the feeling I got staying there, like I was steping back in time, but I still could use my laptop. We found their web site after we stayed there and have to say the pictures don't do those rooms justice.

    stayed here for two nights in July 2006. Hosts were extrodinarily hospitable and helpful. room was lovely, breakfast on the deck was taken along with some blue jays. I will visit again.

    Stayed Feb. 28 & 29, 2007. Tim forgot we were coming...had to call from station. Rooms were DIRTY! Write your name in the dust! Dirty dishes with uneaten food in library...empty wine bottles about. Tim was pleasant, but there is no maintenance at all. Congealed cream in creamer on dining room table! Get a cleaning crew in there!! If it's not a convenient time to have guests, then say you're closed!
