Sanctuary is a truly private place to find lodging away from busy roads in a forest and garden setting. Furnishings are comforatble and contemporary. There's color and light, beauty and repose. Breakfast is superb and the finest quality!

Guests have remarked that this is the most comfortable (queen-sized) bed they have ever slept in! Pass through the sliding doors to enter our shade garden, soon to sport a small wildlife pond. This room has its own half-bath and is next to a full bath with large oval tub.Our sunroom is attached to the kitchen and features an array of unusual fragrant plants such as Osmanthus, Night-blooming cereus, walking iris, and Sanctuary's signature flower, a "Fragrant Apricot" tea rose bush that blooms nearly year-round.
Our lush perennial garden surrounds the house. White birch trees, maples and white pines surround the garden, perched above the village of Westminster West. There are many places to sit and stroll and just "be" amidst the beauty that is abundant here. This incredible rose, "Fragrant Apricot Tea Rose", blooms in our sunroom nearly year round, frequently timing its blossoms to special events in our household. The fragrance is complex and heavenly.
