    Classic Vermont With Pampering Flair!

    February 23, 2009

We have been looking for a great BB in the Killington Pico area - the newly renovated Red Clover Inn is it! The rooms are cozy and warm in addition to the sparkling baths. The food is comfort food with a healthy slant - and most is from locally grown vendors. Prices are VERY reasonable and though you are minutes from Rte 4 - you feel the quiet serene atmosphere and see the beauty of it's setting. The breakfast is made to order with flavorful pancakes and home made scones. Try the granola - they make it there! Colleen the innkeeper goes out of her way for you. Our teen had a ski tuning accident and we were about to go out for medical supplies - she found everything in minutes and was so kind. We will put this one on the list to visit this summer - they plan to have hikes and morning yoga. The grounds are beautiful and I'm sure the gardens will be spectacular.

Red Clover Inn is very welcoming!

    February 14, 2009

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the Red Clover Inn in Rutland, VT. I had to scramble to find a hotel room at the last minute and was very excited to find a last minute special at this location. They did a spectacular job renovating the place! All of the rooms are very clean and classic and very welcoming. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. I did not stay for dinner but the organic and local foods were nice to see on the menu. It felt more like staying with friends than a hotel. Its a great location for a romantic getaway or just a peaceful retreat from a busy life. I will absolutely be visiting there again! :-)
