The Reluctant Panther Inn & Restaurant

All rooms and suites are newly refurbished with in-room fireplace (some with two), Jacuzzis tub for two, high-speed wireless internet access and exceptional views of Mount Equinox. Some rooms offer a private entrance, ideal for those traveling with children or a small dog. On-site fine dining offers regional cuisine in a romantic setting or casual fare in The Panther Pub.

Walk to spa, shopping and four-season activities including golf, hiking, biking and tennis. Drive one mile to Manchester designer outlets, the Southern Vermont Arts Center, galleries, live theatre and restaurants, or travel twenty minutes to skiing at Bromley or Stratton Mountain.     From Bennington, VT, drive North on Rt. 7 to Exit #4 and follow the signs to Manchester. At red blinking light (with a Chevy dealership in the back) turn left. You're now on Historic Rt. 7A South. Go south on 7A for 1.1 miles. On the right hand side is a large stone building - the Mark Skinner Library. Make a sharp right U-turn around the Library and we're located in the back of it: 39 West Rd.

    Follow airport exit signs to I-87 North Exit 7E Rt. 7 toward Bennington, VT. Route 279 East to US Rt.7 North Exit 3 to Arlington Historic 7A North to Manchester From Equinox Hotel at the Village square go North on Hist.7A for another block; there is a fork in the road at which you bear "semi left" onto West Road first two buildings on the left with the circular driveway in from of second building.

    All suites have at least one fireplace and whirlpool tub. Beautifully decorated, some offer a second fireplace as well. Most bedrooms have a king bed (19 of 20). Several suites have porches with mountain views overlooking wonderful gardens and tree-shaded patios. Sixteen of the suites are equipped with two-person whirlpool tub.

    • Children are welcome (Some suites suitable for guests with children.)

    • Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Fully licensed restaurant and bar on premises.)
    • Deposit amount required (We require a pre-payment of the first night or 50% of the total stay - whichever is higher.)
    • Check in time is after 3:00 p.m. and Check out time is 11:00 a.m.
    • Cancellations:
      Shortening the length of your stay or failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date will result in loss of the deposit and cancellation of the remainder of the reservation. Deposits will be refunded (less a $20 cancellation fee per room) only if the cancellation notice is received by at least 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. This policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation and whether or not the room is subsequently rented. If you rebook with us within two weeks of cancellation, we will apply the initial deposit and/or cancellation fee to your new deposit.
