This is a true family inn on a quiet country back road in the heart of Vermont's mountains and lakes region. There are 50 acres of rolling meadows and woods to explore and to cross-country ski. The inn itself is a century-old farmhouse. The dining room has exposed beams and a bay window overlooking pastures and Okemo Mountain. Relax and socialize (BYOB) in our Vermont barnboard 'keeping room' furnished with turn-of-the century oak. Sample Bill's country breakfasts.

    Comfortable, quaint, lovely place

    October 25, 2010

We stayed Friday through Sunday to do some hiking around the area. Ruth gave us maps of two great trails, and we actually did both in one day! The Healdville Trail was slightly more advanced than I expected, but it was a beautiful trek. Quite gorgeous snowy top. Ruth also recommended The Loft. We visited the restaurant for lunch and a couple beers. The food is delicious, and we had leftovers from the large portions. Finally, the Combes Family Inn is a scenic drive away from the Vermont Country Store in Weston. We spent at about 2 hrs there! I'm happy I brought home some mix to make Chardonnay dip. This trip was very memorable, and I would definitely recommend Combes Family Inn.

    Outstanding for Ski Clubs!!

    March 26, 2010

Our ski club has been going to The Combes Family Inn for at least 15 years, same time each year. Bill and Ruth run the best B&B we have ever stayed at in Vt. Food is excellent with such a variety of dinners and breakfasts that keep us coming back year after year. One of the clubs most popular trips, it sells out first day offered each year. Best part is the apre ski party each late afternoon when we return from a day on the slopes. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere, you really must try it to appreciate the hospitality!!
