I was somewhat nervous about having my Vegan Diet needs met but I need not have worried. Everything I was served was excellent and the fact that I do not eat animal products was not overlooked even once. Kudos to the management and especially to the Chef!!!!

A very very nice get away. The Rabbit Hill Inn is a very charming, and desirable place to get away from all the real world pressures. The Inn is beautifully decorated with pictures and charming details. The staff is like returning to a family who think of all details to make one feel comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast meals were so filling and delicious. We will always remember the puzzles after dinner and how good we slept after a full day of activities that were mapped out for us by the staff.

We enjoyed all the amenities this inn has to offer. We love the cozy candlelight dinners and breakfast. Common areas in the pub & livingroom are casual comfy. Our room was our escape and sanctuary. Hiking the trails next door to the Inn during a snow shower was a winter wonderland. The staff and Innkeepers are truly the best part and what makes this bed and breakfast an exceptional place to stay.

We originally chose the Rabbit Hill Inn as a convenient halfway point on our trip to Quebec, but instantly fell in love with the uniquely decorated rooms, delightful afternoon tea (perfect after a long trip), cozy pub, and elegant restaurant warmed by candlelight and a fireplace. Brian. Leslie and their staff make us feel right at home. We were so delighted with our experience that we immediately booked a room for our return trip. We intend to make the Rabbit Hill Inn our destination for a future, longer trip.

We just returned from a wonderful few days at Rabbit Hill Inn (RHI). We first visited the Inn 10 years ago based on suggestions from friends. We have been back twice each year (summer & winter) ever since. Our stay this past week was fantastic. We stayed in the Sterling, which is a newly renovated room on the second floor of the main house. It was wonderful!! We have stayed in many of the rooms at RHI over the years and they are all great! You really can not go wrong. We had dinner in the dining room each evening while we were there. It is truely a fine dining experience - wonderful selections, fabulous presentation, outstanding knowledgeable service from Jen, our server. It is a wonderful compliment to the entire RHI experience. Brian, Leslie, Donn and the entire staff at RHI have a passion unlike anything I've ever seen in all my years of traveling - for business or vacation. We are already looking forward to our summer trip to RHI!

The Rabbit Hill is the most consistenly excellent inn we've stayed in. We've been going there annually for almost 20 years and not once has it NOT been outstanding. The place is an absolute gem!!! If you want a spot to relax, eat well and be pampered, the Rabbit Hill Inn is it!

From the moment we stepped into the Rabbit Hill Inn, we were graciously greeted and spoiled rotten for 3 days with impeccable service, phenomenal dining, and the most romantic setting ever. We thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious afternoon tea, elegant fine dining, and relaxing in the Pub in the evening. This all contributed to making the most memorable vacation. This is our favorite B&B. We've gone three times in one year and truly feel like we are at a home away from home... without the cleaning and cooking! We'll be returning many times.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at Rabbit Hill. Our only complaint was the menu. We found it to be too "far out" for our tastes. We had to send back some soup that seemed to have no flavor in the broth. And my husband was unhappy with two of the entrees. The breakfasts were good, tho. And Brian and Leslie are outstanding hosts.

Even though cloudy and rainy our visit was amazing. The staff and the scenery were wonderful and we would come again. We got to know some of the staff in an unique way. It reminded of us our honeymoon, of the special attention to details and the little extras they do for you. Our year has been a very busy one with a lot of changes in our lives and this was a nice get away to get refocused. Rabbit Hill Inn is by far my favorite B&B I have stayed in to date. I wanted to settle in and never leave! Each room is done so beautifully it will be hard to decide which one to choose on our next visit. We stayed in The Music Room during our stay in September, 2012. Every aspect of the room was perfectly done with our comfort and enjoyment in mind. I loved all the various bunny decor throughout the property from the rabbit doll on our bed to the rabbits on the fireplace grills to the porcelain ones for sale, of which I took one home with me! Their bar and game room are cozy and we loved the Stave puzzles. Brian, Leslie, Don and the rest of the inn staff were absolutely wonderful! The dining room was very tastefully done and the food was wonderful. You must put the Rabbit Hill Inn on your list of B&Bs to stay at when visiting the Vermont area!!

Our stay surpassed all of my expectations on what we were looking for in a B& B. The moment we stepped into the foyer, and were greeted by Susan, I certainly felt special. We stayed in the Music Room, it was romantic and enchanting with just the lanterns lit. When we walked into the room it reminded me of visiting my grandparents on Christmas Day night as they had no electricity but had kerosene lanterns to provide the light. Our dinner was surperb, breakfast was outstanding and very romantic with candles lit on all tables. The stave puzzles were a lot of fun for both of us and watching others work on their puzzles. They have a full service bar and it was very relaxing. We are already planning on going back in 2 years. Rabbit Hill Inn is close to our hearts with memories to last a life time. My husband and I spent the long weekend in October at Rabbit Hill Inn. Our room was extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable, the service was outstanding, the owners are passionate about what they are doing and it shows, the food was exquisite, be it breakfast or dinner in their lovely small dining room. Attention to detail is remarkable, we have met lovely people (other guests) and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Would highly recommend.

We have traveled all over the world and have stayed in many nice places, but this was the only place where we felt as if we were visiting friends who were trying to anticipate all our needs. I have never had such hands-on hospitality. The food was fabulous and we truly were relaxed. I think every couple should experience this place at least once. We definitely plan on coming back. Rabbit Hill Inn is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the United States that I am aware of. My preference is fall foliage time, but I also enjoyed a winter experience at the Inn as well. You will soak up the charm and comfort of the Inn and be waited on hand and foot by the professional staff. It is hard to find a better restaurant which comes with multiple entree selections and a well balanced wine list. Or course being a B and B, breakfast is fantastic with great choices or just about any type of breakfast you desire.

This past Labor Day weekend was our fourth stay at RHI, and Brian and Leslie's presence never fails to deliver. The ambience is colonial New England with a nice variety of decor in many of the rooms, plus a delicious full breakfast that has you leaving the calorie-counter at home. It's perfect for a quiet getaway (no TV!), with little to disturb those guests (including us) who are hard at work on one of the many Stave puzzles available in the keeping room....

My husband and I recently stayed at the Rabbit Hill Inn for three nights over the Labor Day long weekend. We live in the Boston area and have made frequent visits to B&Bs in the NH/VT area over the last many years; we usually try new places on each visit, but we enjoyed this visit so much that we will definitely become repeat customers. Other online reviews have lavished praise on the hospitality and warmth of the innkeepers, Leslie and Brian, and we found that reputation to be completely deserved. They and their team made us feel completely at home, and were attentive while being unobtrusive and low-key. The common areas are filled with games and books, and we loved being able to indulge in them, in each other company, or in chatting with the other guests, depending on our mood. (I have to join the chorus of other fans of the clever and difficult Stave jigsaw puzzles; on our last day we had to stay to finish one more puzzle before getting on the road.) Leslie and Brian clearly love what they do, and have built an incredibly hospitable, wonderful retreat where we could truly relax and get away from our day-to-day worries. We look forward to our next stay!

Alone for a few days, I wanted a mini-vacation where I could relax in peace and enjoy some outdoor recreation. Rabbit Hill Inn proved to be the perfect spot. Luxury, warm and friendly reception, delicious food, excellent service. I'm returning again next week for more of the same, and surely will return again and again, hopefuly not alone--this is a great place to be with someone special.

We stayed at the Rabbit Hill Inn 18 years ago on our honeymoon and it was the first time back. The Top of the Tavern Room was incredible! The breakfasts were just as we remembered and were amazing. The inn has a bar/tavern that is a great place to end the evening and we enjoyed a night cap on our last night. A special thank you to Brian and Leslie for making our visit feel just like it did 18 years before. Hopefully, it won't be another 18 years before we're back! For those who haven't visited this incredible inn, it should be on your MUST list of inns to visit!

This is one of the finest places I have ever stayed. Everything is done to perfection.

The Rabbit Hill Inn was recommended to us several years ago. This year we decided to give it a try for a couple of nights. We cannot begin to describe how welcome we were made to feel upon arrival. The service was above and beyond, and breakfast and dinner were fabulous. We had no issues with cleanliness of the rooms, or the condition of the rooms. In fact the room we had was a very relaxing place to be. It had a oversized bath tub with water jets, gas fire place, a love seat and Canadian Glider. The owners and the staff were always available to make suggestions about things to do in the area. They were willing to help with reservations for the many activities in the area. The Inn common areas are spacious and had an atmosphere of calm. I can say I came home feeling very relaxed and calm after the two nights spent at Rabbit Hill Inn. I hope to make a stay at Rabbit Hill Inn an annual event.

My wife and I look forward to our annual trip to spend time with Brian, Leslie, Don and the staff at Rabbit Hill, We are welcomed as family and catered to. The rooms are well appointed and well kept. The meals exquisite (we've never eaten breakfast or dinner anywhere else), our special needs are met without asking (my wife has allergies - they keep track of it and prepare for it), the bar is well tended by Brian and Don and OH the PUZZLES. We LOVE the Stave puzzles. We do one a day (oops - very like gave away who this is - oh well). A wonderful experience that we plan to continue to enjoy.

From the moment you enter the doors of the Rabbit Hill Inn, you know you made a very good decision. The people, the decor, the peaceful and relaxing feeling are just one of the few things that will surely make your stay very pleasant. My husband and I were in our 5th anniversary for this trip and we were looking for a romantic place to spend a few nights away from our everyday life, and we certainly found it at rabbit Hill Inn. I can forget to mention that dinner was delicious, and there was a lot of it too... really... a lot!! Breakfast was also so fresh and good! Brian, Leslie and all the staff members where wonderful and very accommodating. If you are planning a romantic getaway, or you just want to disconnect from the craziness of the big city, I truly recommend it.

We've stayed at Rabbit Hill over a dozen times and we would visit more often if it wasn't an 8 hour drive away , Every time we visit we feel like we're we coming home. Brian and Leslie and the rest of their staff are the so friendly and welcoming. We've stayed in 5 or more rooms and have loved them all. And the food at--the bountiful breakfasts, afternoon teas and dinners--is all superbly delicious. This place is simply the best!

After wanting to stay at this B&B for a very long time, all the stars and planets finally aligned and allowed me to book an overnight stay in mid-May. We might have arrived in rainy weather but once inside the Rabbit Hill Inn, the world was more than sunny! Leslie and Brian are by far the most gracious and caring hosts we have ever encountered and this is reflected throughout every part of the Rabbit Hill Inn. I chose to surprise my partner with the "Just Us" party option that Rabbit Hill offers. The special touches waiting for us in our room were indescribably wonderful to return to after having enjoyed a delicious meal in their dining room. Romance was woven into every minute of our stay whether we were looking for it or not. We are both looking forward to a return visit to this magical place.

From start to finish, Rabbit Hill Inn is absolute perfection. The beauty of the historic inn is the very first thing you will notice as you enter. The attention to detail is amazing as you pass from room to room. Each evening we returned from dinner to find a new and romantic surprise awaiting us, yet another testament to the great attention to detail that is taken by the owners and staff to ensure a special experience for all who visit. The views of the white mountains are incredible. But the best part of the entire experience is the people. The owners, Brian and Leslie, welcome you to the inn as family. We were greeted with a hug and many smiles. They were quick to suggest the best things to do while staying there and then followed that with detailed directions and literature for whatever you chose to do. Whatever your heart desired, they were more then accommodating and went out of their way to make certain you were not just satisfied, but genuinely happy! And each and every member of the staff met us with smiles and warmth. There is no doubt, you will find Rabbit Hill Inn to the be the perfect getaway for a relaxing and romantic retreat.

My wife and I stayed at Rabbit Hill for two very enjoyable nights in March of this year. We have stayed at many B & B’s but not many rise to the standards set by Rabbit Hill. From the time of our check in until our departure, our every need was met. When my wife made our reservation, she was asked if there were any dietary needs, she advised that I had recently been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. To my surprise afternoon Tea always included a gluten free treat. Rabbit Hill also has a restaurant and again accommodations were made to the menu so that I had GF choice. This also carried through to breakfast. It was gratifying to me that so much thought was put into my dietary needs. Brian and Leslie and all the staff were attentive but not intrusive. Our room was comfortable and spotless and a great place to return to at the end of a day of sightseeing. I would not hesitate to make another trip to Vermont and certainly will stay at Rabbit Hill Inn.

As anyone who has ever visited Rabbit Hill Inn knows, there is no place like "home" away from home. Here everything one could ever want is beautifully before you. One leaves completely rested, at peace and more than contented. In fact you don't want to leave and would like to stay indefinitely! We choose to spend our wedding night at the RHI. What a beautiful place, filled with luxuries I would not have thought of The staff were very attentive and kept adding little extras to make our wedding the best. My husband and I returned to Rabbit Hill Inn after spending our honeymoon there 30 years ago. The Inn has been keep beautifully and is even nicer than it was 30 years ago. We stayed in "our" room which has been updated but retained the same lovely color scheme and antique canopy bed. We had a wonderful week. The food was excellent, the service outstanding, and we enjoyed a mix of day trips put together by the staff and quiet days around the Inn. We look forward to going back again soon.

The Rabbit Hill Inn is phenomenal. The moment we walk through the doors and hear the words "Welcome Home" we are able to leave our hectic lives behind. No tv, minimum cellphone coverage, makes it so worth while and so easy to leave it at the door! Brian and Leslie are fantastic along with their very professional and heart warming staff. The food is incredible, as if the chef is only cooking for you. Freshly prepared for each guest and never ceases to amaze us. We love it and look forward to our stay each year.

Have been staying at the Rabbit Hill for years and usually are there for the pre Holiday season so a February visit was unexpected. As usual, the Rabbit Hill was exceptional. If you are looking for a great Vermont escape, this is one of them.

First, the innkeepers were present and anticipated needs with warmth and feeling. There was also timely inquiry as to anything we might need,before we asked. We chose not to dine there in the evening,but the breakfasts were great.

I booked this trip for my longtime girlfriend as a Christmas Present. I read all the reviews and knew this would be a nice trip, but I never thought it would be as AMAZING as it actually was. We stayed in The Nest and the room was SOOOO UNBELIEVABLE. It was ridiculously romantic, super clean, sexy, classy, beautiful, and pretty much any other positive quality you would want in a room. I have stayed in nice rooms before but never a place where the staff thinks and prepares EVERY last little detail. The actual Inn is just as amazing as the room. Its historical ambiance goes hand in hand with the romance and intimacy of the Inn. Its super clean with plenty of public space, including a large variety of activities to keep you busy, including books, magazines, newspapers, puzzles, board games, and the best of all...the other guests, who are usually sitting somewhere in the public areas ready for quaint conversation over a delicious cup of tea, coffee, a beer or any other drink and small snack you prefer. The Inn is perfectly placed in Lower Waterford, which has managed to maintain the perfect idea of a historical New England Town. So wonderful, peaceful, clean, and just flat out amazing, Lower Waterford and the Rabbit Hill Inn are a perfect match. The staff is so attentive, courteous, polite, welcoming, and authentic you have no choice but to feel right at home the moment you walk into the Inn. Paying attention to EVERY LITTLE DETAIL you don't have to worry about a thing during your time at the Inn. At times it seems so amazing that they know exactly what your thinking before your even thinking it...I don't know how the Inn Keepers managed to find such an amazing staff but I cannot imagine a better combination of staff members put together in one place. I will make the review on the food quick...ITS AMAZING!!!!! Trust me, I love to eat!

The rooms are spotless and contain all the amenities one could want. The owners and staff are attentive and their attention to detail is superb. You'll want for nothing. The restaurant offers outstanding fare and I suggest you book for dinner every night you're there. There seems to be something new and exciting every meal. The Pub is a wonderful place to gather at the end of the day to reflect on your adventures and plan tomorrow's. Our annual trip to Rabbit Hill. A quiet and relaxing Inn with beautifully appointed rooms featuring different decorating themes. There is something for everyone here. Fantastic and romantic dining and the food and presentation of same is just grand.

We have stayed at numerous inns most more expensive, none as good. Super service, food and accomidations. The inn keepers and staff are warm and gracious. Clean rooms and great beds. Stay away from the puzzles you will become addicted. If you are looking for a romantic get away this is the place.

From the advice and information they provided to us about surrounding areas and activities, to the ahhh-mazing meals and treats they served (and we even tried to throw a monkey wrench into that with a gluten allergy, which they handled with ease!) the entire experience was perfect. We stayed in both Cedar Glen and Tavern's Secret rooms and can't decide which was better! As with all of their rooms, each has a unique personality and something to offer everyone. Our only regret was having to leave! Rabbit Hill Inn is now our favorite vacation spot and we can't wait to return!

I spent hours and hours trying to find the perfect place to getaway for a romantic getaway. Finally, decided on the RHI and it was a great decision! I do wish because of the 4 hour drive we stayed 3 nights vs 2! I would have like to enjoy the area (Franconia State Park) for another day - hiking! This service at RHI is amazing. The people are great, the food is great, the pastries and hot choc are great! Its all excellent - not your usually day to day - its all a treat!

We just returned from our trip to the RHI and we had a very nice stay. I was disappointed with the food at dinner, as I had read many reviews about the wonderful dining experience there. The breakfast was good, but not spectacular. On the other hand, the service and friendliness of the staff was top-notch and not stuffy or pretentious. Just lovely people.

We have stayed at many B & B's but this one is by far the best. Everyone on the staff was considerate, friendly and couldn't do more for you. Our every wish was filled before we had to ask. Dinner the night we arrrived was outstanding as well as the packed lunch that we requested. No ordinary sandwiches here! And so much food that we didn't need dinner that evening! I must comment on the adorable little rabbit that was so tenderly tucked in bed at night. My husband just loved it as well as the extra little gifts that were in the room each night after turn down. What an outstanding place this is. We will return again and again and again.

The Mulcahys have a knack for making all of their guests feel special, cared for, and welcome. Going to Rabbit Hill is like coming home--a warm, charming place in a beautiful setting. The chef and kitchen staff deliver creative, wonderfully flavorful, and beautifully prepared meals. Afternoon tea, stave puzzles, the lovely accommodations, hikes on the property, the Snooty Fox pub--all bring us back to Rabbit Hill again and again. Brian and Leslie are more than innkeepers--they are family.

We were impressed with the Inn the moment we stepped in the front door and were greeted by Leslie & Don (and Brian, too, whom we met later). The cleanliness of our room and the entire inn was outstanding. The staff from housekeeping to the dining room were so friendly and welcoming that we really did feel at home. Our meals were exceptional, delicious and served by most accomodating servers! The highlight had to be "our" Music Room..spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and filled with ambience....very fitting, as we are the parents of three musicians, with two granddaughters waiting to fill their shoes! We hope we have the opportunity to visit again and to try some of the other B&B's in the book that was presented to us on our departure. We DEFINTELY recommend Rabbit Hill Inn!

I surprised my wife with a trip to a VT B&B for her Birthday and fortunately had the pleasure of staying at The Rabbit Hill Inn for 4 nights. We were welcomed with ice tea and pastries and it just got better from there.

Not only is the location sublime - the view of Franconia Notch from our third-floor suite were gorgeous even during heavy rains from Hurricane Irene - but the innkeepers and staff are friendly without coming off as obsequious or nosy. What struck us most is the quiet of the area, too, and just how genuine everyone is in the surrounding towns as well as among the guests. The energy of Rabbit Hill is very fresh and calming, while still feeling like home. Plus, the proximity to activities in New Hampshire and Vermont is perfect.

My husband surprised me with a weekend at Rabbit Hill Inn for my birthday! What a find! The innkeepers Brian and Leslie were incredible hosts, the food was amazing, and the other visitors were friendly. During our stay, we took a 3-hour kayak tour, arranged by Rabbit Hill Inn, which included a wonderful picnic lunch with delicious sandwiches and other goodies. I would recommend Rabbit Hill Inn for a romantic and charming getaway.

My lady and myself needed a few days away and picked Rabbit Hill Inn from the internet. We took "Molly's Promise" as a room, and from checkin, from which time Don never forgot our names, to walking into the room for the first time and finding it better than the wonderful photo on the web, to the general ambiance of the stay it was better than we thought it would be and was, all in all, one of the best B&B's we have ever been to. The food was high quality, the wine list extraordinary for a B&B, the decor charming (we thought so much of one of the peices that we asked our hosts where to get one and bought it before leaving.) The rooms are more than generous in size, as are the bath facilities. The fireplace provides a wonderful ambience, and the bunny (doll) on the bed a warm welcome every time. The local attractions are very good, with staff giving us suggestions then writing out the directions. Each suggestion proved solid (we saw Franconia Notch, went shopping and dined at a competitor that they recommended... all were excellent). Our hosts set up a warm and convivial environment that encourages conversation with other guests and made us feel as if we were long time favourite patrons, rather than first time guests... Rabbit Hill Inn is perfect for a romantic getaway! The Inn is beautiful and spotless. The innkeepers are extraordinary, as if they can read your mind! The food was 5 star quality. Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious. We can't wait to go back!

Despite there being at least 10 other couples (that we saw) at the Inn, it seemed like the staff existed just for us. While I know they showed the same level of courtesy to everyone, they seemed to always be there to make our experience special. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we were looking for a relaxing vacation without any time schedules where we could just enjoy being together. Rabbit Hill Inn was exactly that and more. The room was quaint and looked even better than on the website. While I enjoy the convenience of cell phones don't expect them to work at this location due to the mountains. There is limited internet connectivity as well, but that turned into more of a blessing than most would realize. Without those distractions, we were able to just spend time together and enjoy ourselves.

We stayed 2 days. Rooms very cosy and sweet. Breakfast awesome. It was really worthy the trip to Vermont.

My wife and I have return annually to the Rabbit Hill Inn largely due to the family feeling that they provide and the special care that the Inn Keepers, Brian, Leslie and Don take to any special needs of their guests. My wife has several food alergies and, not only to they keep records of them, they plan for them in the menu choices they offer to us in their dining room. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, service is impecable and the dining experience is always 4-Stars. When we plan our annual vacations, a week at Rabbit Hill is always included. P.S. The puzzles are addicting (we do the most difficult).

You can hardly imagin that there is a perfect place in the world until you get there. Rabbit Hill Inn is the one. Our stay was in February and it was one of the coldest winter we got in years, but once inside, it was heavenly. Brian and Leslie were so kind and gave us room upgrade, so my husband and I could stay in "Music room" that we really wanted to stay. The room was so lovely and welcomed us with the warm fireplace and soothing music when we were led to. Afternoon tea was so delightful with beautiful sweets. Later on when we were playing a puzzle in the lounge, leslie kindly offered us additional tea. Her attentiveness was marvelous. We should have had dinner in their place but we went out, which was a big mistake. The entire place was spotlessly clean and decorated perfectly. My husband and I were pampered in a place so dreamingly perfect. Thank you so very much for the heavenly getaway. (I thought we left a review in this site in February, but noticed we only left one at another site, so I am doing it now.)

I've been to a few bed and breakfasts before and they're all pretty quaint and enjoyable, but walking into Rabbit Hill really is like visiting family that you've never met before. From the second Don met me at the doorway to the moment I stepped into my car, I felt like my every need was taken care of by someone who honestly wanted me to feel my best. I have never felt my stress melt away so quickly; it was honestly like a thick coat of tension just slipped off as I entered my room. Music was playing, the fire was warm, and the cool, Vermont evening breeze was greeting me through the cracked open window. I seriously stood there in my room for about 3 minutes just staring at everything in awe before I finally convinced myself to lay down and enjoy the inviting bed. I cannot say enough about this place. If you need to be pampered and take some time to think about yourself, Rabbit Hill is where you need to go.

We returned to Rabbit Hill Inn after a 35 year lapse as part of travel in the NE. We felt like we were going back home. I absolutely loved it, best anniversary ever. We went here on our 5th anniversary. They had every little detail covered. The special touches were spectacular. We plan to come back here for our 10th anniversary. Everyone should follow us there.

Several years ago a well traveled friend told us that he had stayed in splendid places at more than twice the cost that somehow did not equal the Rabbit Hill Inn. We then started with a three day visit and have returned every year graduating to four days and now to five and love it even more each time. The decor of the Inn is such that it actually embraces the guests and that is augmented by a sincerely warm, as opposed to professionally warm, staff and an unparalleled host and hostess, Brian and Leslie. We know this praise seems extravagant--but if it were anything less it would fall short of the truth.

I have stayed here before. This time, I had my little dog and, therefore, had to be in the only 'pet-friendly' room. Nice, but not as nice as the others which are outstanding.

The restaurant is great. Breakfasts and Dinners were excellent. Beuatiful part of Vermont, but still within reasonable driving distance of Littleton NH and the Mt Washington Valley. The Rabbit Hill Inn is amazing. I've wanted a New England vacation for more than 20 years and for our 20th anniversary we finally pulled the trigger. We spent two nights at the Rabbit Hill Inn and it was simply amazing. Not sure if I can put it into words, but the minute we entered the stress simply left our bodies and we relaxed. Totally! Over a period of twenty five years I have visited Rabbit Hill Inn about thirty times. It is like no other place to relax, dine, find Romance and have fun. Without a doubt my very favorite place to be.

We just did a weekend snowmobile package with friends from Connecticut. Both couples were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversaries. (Thank you Thank you) My friend Paul and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world during our business careers and we both agreed that we have never come across a spot with better service, better staff or better beds. (We asked Leslie for the name of the mattress as we wanted to rush home and buy one.) They are that nice! And then there is the food! ....... Best way to deal with the food quality would be for me to say this ..... "Rabbit Hill Inn is worth visiting for the spectacular food alone!!" I sit here drooling remembering the salad with emulsifies parmasan cheese (don't ask .... just order it!!. The short rib beef dinner was so nice I chatted with the chef to pick his brain thinking I would tackle it at home. The breakfast backing goods are outstanding as well. RHI is a quiet, warm, beautiful Inn with Innkeepers and staff that bend over backwards for every simple request. Leslie, Brian, Don, Amy et al ..... We thank you for a spectacular weekend and look forward to our next visit. Maybe a golf thing in the summer?? This place is absolutely wonderful. Brian & Leslie are superb Innkeepers, and my husband & I truly felt at home! We met instant relaxation from our hurried lives when walking in to calming music and such a beautiful environment. My husband is always worrying about what's coming next in his schedule/life, and I was blown away when we got home and were just spending time together...I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he responded "I don't really care! I just want to be with you!" Even on our honeymoon, he'd never really took the time to just relax and not think about what's coming next! Thank you Rabbit Hill Inn for providing us with such a beautiful weekend and way to be 100% relaxed! (Getting back to reality isn't fun - but, now we know how to take time out to just spend together!)

This was our second time staying with Brian and Leslie and like the first, they did not disappoint. The entire staff is focused on the guests and making sure their stay is one they will not forget. The food is outstanding-the breakfasts by the fireplace are to die for. Their knowledge of the area is invaluable-Leslie sent us snowshoeing a short distance away off the beaten path where we ran into few others (during a holiday weekend). Our third visit in 18 months. No TVs, no room phones, just a gas fireplace to watch while listening to relaxing CDs. Clean beyond imagination, and comfortable. Leslie and Brian, and the whole staff are welcoming and attentive. You can't spend a night here and not want to come back over and over again.

Leslie and Brian are such gracious hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and spent much of our time in the common rooms enjoying afternoon tea, reading, and working the fabulous Strave puzzles. Breakfasts are something to look forward to!

The staff and the Inn truly surpassed our expectations. Having no TV is a wonderful idea. The dining experience is top notch. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had all that we needed. While searching for a place to spend a romantic getaway, I came across the Rabbit Hill Inn. Everything promised on their website held true in person. We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Rabbit Hill Inn. The room/suite was well appointed and nicely decorated, including high-quality linens/bedding, comfortable bed, and a quality, updated bath. The inn included several public room that were frequented by all of the guests. Stave puzzles were very popular! Afternoon tea was very nice. Breakfast (included) was the best that we've ever seen - creative, delicious choices every morning. The optional evening dinner was very good, too. The staff, including the innkeepers Leslie & Brian, were extremely attentive, very helpful, and did everything possible to ensure a great stay.

Brian and Leslie Mulcahy are the most gracious hosts and their gorgeous inn is the best I've ever stayed in. The Stave puzzles are addicting and relaxing and the Snooty Fox Pub is a cozy spot for a drink before dinner, more puzzling, or a quick game (they have lots). I would recommend this inn without a doubt. In fact, as I visit other inns around the country, my gold standard for comparison is the Rabbit Hill Inn, and so far no other inn has been able to match it.

I loved the little details that the Inn did, right down to the re-arranging the bunny family on our bed each day, and lighting the candles in our room. We stayed in the Samuel Hodby suite and it was cozy, romantic and quiet. We both enjoyed our breakfast each day.

Once you have ventured to The Rabbit Hill Inn there is no turning back; the bar has been set too high and any B&B experience from this day forward will never match up to the time you have spent here. Whether it is your first time or your twenty-fifth, you will be greeted like family and when you leave you will be making plans to return. In the room diaries, you will see a common thread, and that would be the innkeeper's "attention to detail". Definitely choose a room with a with a fireplace and if your budget allows, go for the luxury rooms having a whirlpool tub. All of the rooms are charming and we've noted that folks differ on their own personal favorites. Don't miss Chef Mathew's dining artistry; makes our mouths water to remember the meals we enjoyed during our recent visit. The vast collection of Stave puzzles fast become an addiction, so you may find yourselves burning the midnight oil as you hover over one of these beautifully carved wooden creations. We just returned from our 19th annual weekend at the Rabbit Hill Inn. We travel all over the world, and this is by far our favorite inn/hotel. Brian and Leslie are masters of the art of making guests feel welcome into their "home" and feel pampered. The food is first class and plentiful. The rooms are expertly decorated, each with a different, distinctive feel (We've stayed in at least 7 different rooms. Our favorite is the Jonathan Cummings.) Whether you enjoy socializing in the Snooty Fox pub, doing a puzzle in the sitting room by the roaring fire, or relaxing in the hydro-massage tub in your room, this is certainly an oasis for forgetting all the stress of the "real world."

Whether solo or as a couple, a weekend spent in this Northern Vermont hideaway is just what the doctor ordered for many, including the Innkeepers, Leslie and Brian Mulcahy. Within Rabbit Hill Inn's 19 rooms -- one with a hidden door, many offer updated amenities such as jacuzzi’s and gas fireplaces. The Music Room, which is where my husband and I stayed, has a pump organ which was once part of the church across the way, a gas fireplace, four-poster bed with crocheted canopy, and several designer details that sing music – a mini-harp and artwork in the same theme. Yes, the service is impeccable, with friendly faces greeting you every step inside. Yes, the menu in the dining room has consistenly earned four-diamonds and yes, the rooms are cleaned as if newly renovated. But th real feel of the deal at Rabbit Hill Inn is in the Federal Parlor that connects to the lounge (that was once a dance floor), where you’ll find smal tables to put together puzzles galore to pass the time without much effort. And on Saturdays from 2-4:30 p.m., this area is where you'll want to be. Sometimes venison stew is served, but this time we enjoyed seafood chowder, fresh buns and vanilla tea. The chowder was kept warm in a cast iron pot that hung on an iron rod connected in the wood fireplace. Cozy, charming, cast back in time, we relaxed for tea-time five hours after a hearty breakfast at Rabbit Hill Inn, and a morning spent driving to nearby attractions, such as Goodrich’s Maple Farm and Cabot Creamery.

We have been blessed to spend our last three anniversaries at the Rabbit Hill Inn. Every time we go we are relaxed and refreshed within minutes of our arrival. All year we look forward to returning and we book our stay for the following year before we leave. The food is excellent and the history of the Inn is interesting and adds to the charm and feeling that you are staying someplace really special.

We try to stay in IV and V star INNS whenever we travel and have found many very fine properties, but none beat this one in luxury and quality. This INN will meet and exceed the expectations of most guests. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable: the common areas are for relaxing:and the restaurant is fine dining. The owners and staff are gracious, friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this beautiful luxurious INN.

"COMING HOME" is what we experience every time we stay at Rabbit Hill Inn. We return every Thanksgiving for a wonderful holiday celebration. The greeting and follow up service extended by Brian, Leslie, and Don is beyond words. They do make you feel more than welcome, they make you feel like family. Rabbit Hill is by far the finest Inn we have ever visited! In fact, we keep returning. We travel internationally and no place we have ever visited has the welcoming feel and the fabulous food that we experience every time we visit. We are a long-married couple who wanted to have a ride in the fall countryside of Vermont and an overnight stay at a B&B. Our experience at Rabbit Hill exceeded our expectations from the moment of arrival to our departure. Included in this appraisal is the room, the dinner and breakfast dining and the ambiance. Of note is that many of the fellow guests seemed to return every year.

In this day and age of concerns, deadlines, what will happen next, it was a pleasure to be able to escape...at least for a few days. Rabbit Hill Inn has the luxury and solitude anyone would want. Yet the amenities, breakfast and dinner, full bar service, lots of entertainment (without TV) are all in-house so you never have to leave until you depart. Yet who would not want to get out for walks, hikes and car trips to explore the great Northeast Kingdom. If you just have to go into a town just to make sure humanity is still around, you are only a few short miles to 2 great towns for shopping, restaurants and many other activities. Now I have not even talked about skiing in winter or mountain biking during the summer...just not enough room. A wonderful destination Inn that provides everything

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by traveling through New England, staying one night at special B&Bs along the way. The highlight of our trip was our night at the Rabbit Hill Inn. The reviews of RHI by other travelers were spot on. We cannot present enough accolades for the hospitality of Brian and Leslie. From their extremely well stocked travel brochure closet, to the Vermont made Stave puzzles in the taproom, to the sachets on the door to use as a "Do Not Disturb" notice, to the comfortable Robe Works bathrobes, they clearly paid attention to the smallest detail. Meals were also crafted, prepared and presented with similar care. If our travels take us back to northern Vermont, we would go out of our way to return to the Rabbit Hill Inn.

A warm and inviting Inn where every need is taken care of in an unobtrusive manner. The staff is warm and friendly and always there to take care of you. Spend time in the common rooms to enjoy a drink, read, DO A PUZZLE - you'll be hooked. Up for an adventure, head to Alpine Adventures for some zip lining through the trees - great fun!

My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary at the Rabbit Hill Inn, and we were so glad that we went here. We still haven't had our honeymoon, and we were looking for this trip to be very special for both of us. Brian, Leslie, and all of the staff have truly thought of each detail. We stayed in the Turnabout, and honestly the room was far more spacious and beautiful than the pictures even begin to show. Don brought us around the room and showed us each of the features and ammenities, and was so accomodating with helping us to settle in. Prior to our stay I did let the staff know of a food allergy that my husband has, and everyone was so wonderful in making sure that they were able to offer selections for him. I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband and I feel like we were truly spoiled the entire weekend, and we know that going forward other B&Bs will have a difficult time measuring up!

We have been traveling for 4-8 weeks a year for more than 20 years. We have stayed in many of the "best hotels, La Vanlencia, Del Coranado, Fairmont, Frontenac,Waldorf, Mark Hopkins, and many more. The Rabbit Hill Inn is unsurpassed and unequalled. Friendly guests, and staff, owners who feel like friends, great chef even when Brian and Leslie have to find a new one (evey few years they always find a great chef. Beautiflul scenery, interesting local tours like maple syrup amd Cabot cheese, great art museum and of course King Arthur Flour if you are a cook. the rooms are fabulous and make you want to stay in your room all day bu the action in the common rooms is alluring also.

We've been visiting the Rabbit Hill Inn regularly for many years, and have already made our reservations for the next two years. Brian and Leslie maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food is exceptional, the Stave puzzles are a challenging pastime, the rooms are romantic and comfortable -- it's a place that makes you reach for the superlatives, because it's just that good. We've stayed in quite a few inns over the years, and the Rabbit Hill Inn has remained in our 'best ever' spot for more than a decade.

This was our third trip to Rabbit Hill Inn. It is a great place to get away and disconnect. Brian and Leslie and the entire staff are exceptional. The food was delicious and the bloody mary and pomegranate martinis are to die for!!!

This Inn is, and deserves to be, a Select Registry Inn. Brian and Leslie are incredibly attentive. Dinner was among the best we had on our 12 day trip. Breakfast cinnamon rolls were the best I've ever had.

Our Stay was everything that we had expected. The hospitality , was outstanding ,the location was wonderful,the other guest were great ,& the service was wonderful. We've enjoyed every stay at Rabbit Hill and it keeps getting better and better. Brian, Leslie and Don are masters of hospitality---once you've been there, you'll have experienced the best. The innovative cuisine was my favorite part this year although I have to admit I am still addicted to those pesky Stave puzzles.

This was our 4th visit to Rabbit Hill, and all was as wonderful as ever. We continue to try other B&B's but always end up back with Brian & Leslie.

Even though we were only able to stay at RHI for only one night, it was well worth it. It was very charming and homey. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had about dining, and gave us plenty of pamphlets for things to do locally. Our room was gorgeous and spacious too!! We would recommend to anyone looking to investigate the Northeast Kingdom to stay here.

We recently stayed at the Rabbit Hill Inn , it came at a perfect moment as we had not made any prior dining or lodging arrangements - by design - and we turned a corner and there it was.... just for us. That is how welcome we immediately felt; Brian and Leslie were most gracious and welcomed us into their Inn with all the confidence that our stay would not want for anything, and they were right. We ate a gourmet meal in the evening, breakfast was replete with many options and all cooked perfectly to order.... a most enjoyable stay.

My husband and I recently spent 4 days & 3 nights at the Rabbit Hill Inn for our honeymoon. Our room "Molly's Promise" was nothing short of a dream. Large, comfortable bed, gas logs by the bed, large whirlpool tub and nightly turn down service. Every staff member that we encountered was pleasant and eager to meet our needs. The food (dinner and breakfast) was perfect. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks Brian and Leslie!
