    Our outstanding and awesome stay

    February 21, 2013

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and right at home. Mark and Pam are the perfect host and hostess. We highly recommend the Candlelight for a warm, cozy and down to earth stay. Though we only met them for the first time, we felt as if Mark and Pam were old friends of ours. The atmosphere and setting were perfect for our stay. Snowmobiling, antiquing, and sipping lots of herbal tea added to the fun and relaxation of our trip. We truly did not want to leave! - P & D Barrows, Fairfield, CT

Dear Pam and Mark, Thank you very much for our wonderful stay at your Band B facility. We are going to remember and cherish the memories of the same for a long time to come. Your friendly approach and thoughtful little personalisedtouches to facility like the hand-crafted quilts and woollen shawls and basketful of hot popcorns as we watched a movie late evening and your tasty and sumptuous breakfast spread were things that I found special. A week ago we returned home after enjoying loving care and hospitality bestowed on us by our children. This week, we celebrate our 3day- festival of Lights, afestival that is celebrated throughout the length and breadth of our large country. On this occasion, we extend to you our warm greetings! “From Fleeting to theEver-Present From Darkness to Illumination From Death to Eternal Life Let us proceed!” “Let me be a lamp, how so ever small! It will illuminate my own path. It may also brighten up the lives of those around me.”

    Our Anniversary Weekend Away

    September 23, 2012

WOW!! What an amazing weekend had at the Candlelight Bed and Breakfast. We were welcomed by Pam at the door when we got there. She showed us to our room. It was very big and the bed was huge. We had our own private bath. The room was spotless! It had a big flat screen in it. After we returned from dinner we sat in the spacious living room with leather couches. My husband and I were snuggled on the couch when we were delivered home made chocolate chip cookies. There was a warm fire going in the stove. Mark kept coming and putting wood in. We woke Saturday am and went down stairs. We had fresh made coffee and tea and waiting for us. We were given a menu which had several items to choose from. We had homemade blueberry waffles, homefries, and sausage. Before we even got our breakfast were served delicious muffins and fruits to enjoy while our breakfast was being prepared. On Saturday afternoon we returned and Mark built another fire in the stove. We relaxed in the living room again and used their free WIFI. We listened to music on their surround sound. We then went to dinner. After dinner we returned to The Candlelight and were greated by Pam and Mark and asked how our dinner and day was. After changing we came down to living room. They had built a nice fire in the stove. We were watching a movie and Pam made us a special dessert just for us for our anniversary. Blueberry cake with whip cream. I can't speak enough about how wonderful The Candlelight is. I contacted Pam after seeing them on the internet. We were unable to go to the other inn due to Bacteria in the water. She assured me they had a room and we would be happy. I am so thankful we ended up at The Candlelight. We more than recommend this place. Please book with Mark and Pam today to have the most amazing time in simply the most Beautiful Inn in Vermont!!! You won't regret it!!

    So glad we chose Candlelight!

    February 06, 2012

We didn't know how to choose a bed and breakfast based on internet reviews, but we're glad we went with our gut instinct because Pam and Mark were delightful hosts. Even before we arrived, while emailing, we had a good sense about their hospitality. From the moment we walked in, they were so warm and accommodating. They really went out of their way to take care of us as guests. Their house is equipped with plenty of entertainment (Wii, Cable, board games, Sirius XM, etc.) if you just want to hang out. They also have the fire going during all hours which makes for a cozy environment. The bedrooms are huge relative to the price, with TV, private bathroom, and plenty of natural light. Even if you don't plan to spend much time inside, their house is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 100 and 112, near to plenty of outdoor activity. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of vegetarian options! Of note, we are a lesbian couple and felt very comfortable in their presence. Pam and Mark are completely committed to being great bed and breakfast hosts. They make a great home away from home, it's a shame our peaceful weekend had to come to an end.

A nice, comfortable and welcomed stay

    October 11, 2010

My wife and I enjoyed our overnight stay at the Candlelight B&B. Pete & Fran are gracious hosts and made us feel welcome and ensured that our stay was comfortable. After a terrific breakfast, Pete went out of his way to point us in the direction of a wonderful hike nearby. We would love to return again.
