    Historic B & B Country Inn located in scenic 4 season recreation area. Cozy rooms with antiques and private baths in the original farm house or handsome Knotty Pine Cottage rooms.Three rooms with working fireplaces in cottages. Enjoy bicycling, canoeing, fishing, golfing or hiking within a few miles of the inn. Hot air balloon packages available.The Silver Maple Lodge and Cottages is one of Vermonts oldest, continuously operating country inns. The center piece of our historic property is an antique farmhouse dating to the late 1700's, which was expanded in the 1920's, has been recently restored and refurbished. Our look is fresh but the lodge is filled wth many of the inn's original antiques and recently exposed 200 year old hand-hewn beams remain. From season to season, Vermont offers a wealth of diversions, discoveries and delights.

    We were greeted by Scott when we checked in and not only did he make it a point to remember our names, he gave us great directions to hiking near the local lake, as well as a map and directions to our next destination. Our cottage was clean with plenty of room for the three of us and our dog- which they were happy to allow in the cottage. Breakfast in the morning was simple but tasty with sweet rolls and coffee/ juice. Overall we were happily impressed and will make a point to stay here next time we are in the area.
