Climb into the majestic four-poster Queen bed with pillowtop mattress, and enjoy a restoring night's sleep. Relax in one of the comfortable sitting chairs; put your feet up, read a book or magazine. The en suite bathroom is quite special with oriental wallpaper, tiled floor, large corner shower, and double sinks with marble vanity top.
This former parlor has been professionally transformed into a delightful and convenient downstairs bedroom with en suite bathroom. The wonderful silk drapes complement the beautiful wallpaper providing charming décor for the stylish queen bed and antique walnut/maple dressing table. Enjoy a contented night's sleep under the cozy bedding on the cushy pillowtop mattress. The compact en suite bathroom is attractively decorated and provides a surprisingly spacious tiled shower.
Our library has a gas fire, comfy chairs and lots of books to borrow.

We enjoyed the well appointed historic house, the choice of accessories and the grounds. The use of a pantry and refrigerator were useful "homey" extras.The service was immediate, charming and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and immaginative. We felt that the value was excellent and will plan to come agein.

I wish I was more eloquent with words so I could give proper credit to Nancy and Ralph and Applewood Manor B&B. It was so beautiful and comfortable I never wanted to leave. Ralph's banana bread was extraordinary. I hope to have an opportunity to visit again.

Ralph and Nancy are great people. They make you feel right at home and will fulfill any reasonable request. There home is beautiful and the landscape is tranquil with the snow covering all about. Their golden retriever Samson is a wonderful dog. He is lovable and quiet too. While I enjoy the quiet and reading my wife prefers watching TV in the bedroom rather than in a central room. The temperature in our room (probably the furthest from the furnace) was rather cool during the evening hours before sleep. The bedding was outstanding, nice and comfortable and warm.

I recently spent a night at Applewood Manor Bed & Breakfast after attending a sporting event at Castleton State College. Everything about my visit (hosts, comfort, breakfast and conversation) was wonderful. I will go back and I highly recommend it to others.

This is the 3rd or 4th time my family and I have stayed at Applewood Manor. Nancy and Ralph are great hosts. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are comfortable and homey, and we love Samson.
