Willard Street Inn

Burlington's first historic Inn offers 14 elegant rooms, individually decorated and all with private baths. This three story 1881 Georgian/Queen Anne revival style mansion is located in the city’s beautiful hill district with scenic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. Gourmet breakfasts are served in the sunny marble floored solarium. 1.5 acres of lawn and English gardens with colorful Adirondack chairs are great for relaxing. Just a short walk to the University of Vermont, Champlain College, Church Street Marketplace shopping, restaurants and waterfront. Grace and grandeur blended with the warmest hospitality provide 19th century charm with 21st century service.

    From Boston and Interstate 89 - Take Exit 14W. Drive 1.2 miles on Route 2 West and take a left onto South Willard Street (Rte. 7 South). The Inn is number 349 South Willard and is on the right side of the street, on the corner of Spruce Street.

    From Middlebury and Points South - Take Route 7 North to Burlington. Follow Route 7 until you come to a traffic rotary. At the rotary bear right continuing on Route 7 (not hard right). Rt. #7 becomes South Willard Street. The Inn is 1/2 of a mile from the Rotary on the left hand side of the street on the corner of Spruce Street.

    • Consumption of alcohol is permitted (No liquor license, but guests may bring their own beverages.)
    • Deposit amount required (1 or 2 nights stay requires a deposit equal to 1 night's charges. 3 nights or more require a 50% of amount of entire stay.)
    • Check in time is 3 p.m. and Check out time is 11 a.m.
    • Cancellations:
      Deposit is refundable if a reservation is cancelled 14 days or more prior to the guest’s arrival date. Refund of the deposit is subject to a $15 processing fee for the credit card charges. Cancellations made within 13 days or less before the arrival date will result in a forfeiture of the deposit, unless we are able to resell the entire reservation. There are some dates when the cancellation deadline may increase to 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. If a guest does not show up for a confirmed reservation or leaves before the original departure date, the guest is responsible for the entire reservation that was originally made. Weather - There will be no deposit refunds for weather related cancellations. Neither the guest nor the innkeeper can predict unfortunate weather conditions. Due to this we have developed a weather related policy that provides flexibility to guests during winter months. If a guest needs to cancel due to weather conditions, they may be issued a "courtesy credit" in the amount of their deposit to be used within 30 days of their original reservation date and is based on availability.
