Howard Street Guest House
The Howard Street Guest House offers two spacious and exquisite suites in a detached carriage house located in Burlington’s lower hill section. These rooms are extraordinary for their charm and decor and are well-suited for romantic getaways or business persons desiring space to work. It is an easy walk or drive to the colleges, the Church Street Marketplace, and the waterfront.
Each suite occupies an entire floor of the building and has a queen-size bed, living and dining area, kitchenette, and a private bathroom. The upstairs unit has a south-facing deck and both rooms have access to a lovely landscaped yard.

From Boston
I-89 North. Take exit 13 to Route 7 North. Proceed to the traffic rotary (about 1 mile). Bear left, then right onto South Union Street. Turn left at the stop sign at Howard Street and the gray house and guest house will be on your left.
From Montreal
I-89 South. Take exit 14W. Drive 1 mile from the exit and take a left onto South Willard Street. Drive five blocks and then go right onto Howard Street. Drive down and continue to the stop sign. The gray house and guest house will be on your left after the stop sign.
From the South (NYC/Middlebury)
Route 7 North to Burlington. Follow Route 7 to traffic rotary. Bear left, then right onto South Union Street. Turn left at the stop sign at Howard Street and the gray house and guest house will be on your left.
From the West on the Ferries
Cross Lake Champlain on the ferry (seasonal) from Port Kent. When leaving the ferry dock, turn right and go one block to Maple Street. Turn left and drive 2 blocks to Pine Street. Turn right and continue .5 mile and turn left onto Howard Street. Head up the hill through the traffic light, and look for a gray house and carriage barn on your right.

Cross Lake Champlain on the Essex Ferry. Then refer to directions “From the South.” - Nearest major airport: Burlington, VT (BTV) 3 miles

Turn left out of the airport and drive to the traffic light at Williston Road (Rt. 2). Turn right onto Williston Road, continue past the interstate exchange, and up and over the hill (past the University). Turn left onto South Willard Street. Drive five blocks and then go right onto Howard Street. Drive down the hill to the stop sign. The gray house and the guest house will be on your left after the stop sign.
