Inn at Baldwin Creek

Stayed two nights in the tree house, and left with the most memorable B&B experience. What a picturesque farmhouse nestled in the foot of green mountain, classic white main house, red barns with white trims. Waking up in the morning with gorgeous foliage view through the bedroom window, and breathing the crispy fall air. We appreciated some interesting furniture selected for the tree house (e.g. the small antique desk and chair, the rock chair, the bench), and loved how a real porcelain sink made us feel (nice !!). Amazing house salad, delicious breakfast.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Inn. Loved sitting on the front porch listening to the creek and watching the hummingbirds. Of course the meals were outstanding. Wish I lived closer to enjoy Mary's more often. Would recommend the Inn and Mary's to all my friends. Thanks Linda and Doug for a wonderful time. Joanne Pfeifer

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for 2 nights. It was our 2nd time there. Everything was perfect. We had dinner there both nights and the food and service was excellent. We loved the breakfasts and the everyone there was so nice. We drove from Long Island NY and it was well worth the drive. Chris and Tom McDonald

We stayed in the Treehouse...what a beautiful room! The food at Mary's Restaurant was local and absolutely delicious. We will definitely stay here again when in Vermont!

We attended the wine and game pairing weekend recently with our daughter and son-in-law, who have attended this event for several years. The entire weekend far exceeded our expectations, both in the hospitality of the inn-keepers and in the quality of the food. Potential guests would be hard-pressed to find a better value. And for people interested in the local food movement, time spent with Doug Mack, chef and co-owner, is guaranteed to be stimulating.

How do you combine just the right ingredients to create a perfect BandB getaway? Start with a fresh snowfall, light, dry and fluffy. Combine with a woodfire at nightfall and guest rooms with character and the charm of an old-world, family centered life. Mix with humor, genuine smiles and a large pinch of strong social conscience (a neighborly Christmas dinner for all deserving local folks....). The Inn at Baldwin Creek is a feast of generous proportions - and the food....oh, the food! Dishes are prepared to perfection with delightful surprises at every mouthful. Service is terrific, the wait staff efficient even as they love to chat! Add a great night's sleep to the menu and you have an inn you'll return to again and again. Compliments to the chef and the family that has so loved this inn and the life they share with guests!

This inn boasts quaint Vermont charm and beauty with all the modern amenities. A treat but the real treasure is the restaurant which showcases the culinary genius of owner, Chef Douglas Mack. My medically restricted diet (no dairy, no red meat, few eggs) often precludes an interesting breakfast, but each morning, after reciting the mornings offerings to the table, he would turn to me and say "...and for you we have...." Each morning a delectable surprise. Ditto dinner. Absolutely worth the trip.

We stayed 2 nights in the Maple Suite -- verly large and very nice.Old inn with squeaky floors. Warm welcome, delicious breakfast and great food at Mary's Restaurant. Disappointed that pool is closed. Nice gardens to walk and creek nearby.

Our second time at the Inn at Baldwin Creek. Food beyond outstanding and always consistently good & creative. Staff very welcoming and friendly. we love it here. It's become our adult treasured weekend away as parents of young kids!

Innkeepers are friendly and accomodating. Food is luscious - fresh from the chef's garden with great attention to flavor and freshness. The inn however, is in desperate need of refurbishing. Everything is cracked and peeling from windows to radiators and the foundation is rotting. No box spring on an old mattress made for two terrible night's sleep in a room where it was impossible to take a shower if you were taller than 5'2". Would we stay there again? No. Would we have dinner? DEFINITELY!

The food is stellar. Chef Doug Mack is truly a food artist. Linda and staff make you feel welcome and enable a relaxing stay. Accomodations were great and truly enabled us to "get away from it all". Proximity to outdoor recreation is our thing. However, if you want city culture, Burlington and Middlebury aren't far.

Secluded under the Green Mountains, this little hideaway offers spacious rooms, delicious breakfasts, and beautiful vistas. A must for an outdoorsman!

We returned to Baldwin Creek this year and it only got better! A cozy room, exceptional dinner and custom-made breakfast and the warmest chef/host and hostess in Vermont!

This place is AMAZING! The rooms are very comfortable and quaint, the food is fresh, make with local ingredients and delicious, and the the staff is courteous and help. I highly recommend a visit- it is well worth the trip!

Nestled in at the base of the mountain, this Inn has the best of all locations! The owner & chef, Doug, has excellent meals w/ vegetables & other food from his garden. He has given us lots of helpful information to local spots.

So quaint & relaxing - keep & owners could not have been more gracious. Truly wonderful also dining experience - our favorite B&B in Vermont.

We stayed one night at random in this inn and it was the best b&b we did in our 2 weeks stay in Vermont and New Hampshire. Everything was perfect from beginning to the end. Especially the food.

Detoured 200 miles to visit Doug & Linda, and was worth every mile. Outstanding food & service, made to feel like one of the family rather than a paying guest.

During this hiking trip my wife and I stayed and dined at three inns. The Inn at Baldwin Creek earned the Gold Medal! The owner and chef, Douglas Mack, and his staff excel in being accommodating and gracious to guests. Dining is a wonderful experience. The cuisine is superlative and the service is inspired. The accommodations are lovely, roomy and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful. Overall The Inn at Baldwin Creek is enchanting. I can’t think of a thing that could have been improved upon.

Breakfast and dinner were scrumptious - especially with the inn's own veggies. The rom was a great balance of antique VT and modern comfort and the innkeepers were connected to the land and the guests.

Baldwin Creek Inn is absolutely charming - and the food is fabulous. But the highlight of the weekend was the cooking class - hands-on with 3 chefs, all local VT ingredients - "The Thrill of the Grill".

Lodgings were comfy in a cozy space with all essentials covered - plus luscious robes, which added a touch of the luxuries. Doug has voluminous & diverse gardens of food & decorative plants, and was happy to share his knowledge.

It's hard to find a B&B with the congeniality wonderful food owners and staff who make you feel right at home.

We would stay here again. They upgraded us for free and everything was very nice. We had a great visit and stay.

The Inn's food was phenonmenal! The staff was very welcoming.

Exquisite food, lovely rooms, warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I actually felt at home. A jewel.

Our stay was comfortable in every way and our hosts were gracious without being overberaing (they live in adjacent cottage). The food was superb. The chef/owner is very involved in supporting regional food production and in fact grows much of the greens, etc that he uses in extensive gardens and grow houses on the property. The year round! We will be returning without a doubt.

I had a very relaxing weekend-making new friends and eating good food.

I consider myself a B&B snob and a foodie; needless to say I am hard to please. The Inn at Baldwin Creek exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful and full of character, complete with an old-fashioned claw foot tub. Breakfast was amazing, I certainly have never had crab cakes with eggs in the morning. Chef and owner Doug prepared this heavenly combination. Dinner was equally mouthwatering. Bristol, a typical and lovely Vermont town is just a stones throw away...overall a magical retreat!
