Built in 1868, this Italianate Victorian offers rare accomodations, elegant breakfast settings and a beguiling opportunity to walk back in time. The Crosby House is decorated to reflect the genteel lifestyle of the 1800's with family heirlooms and collected antiques, coupled with the comforts of the present such as gas fireplaces, private baths,AC, TV/VCR's, wireless internet and other luxury amenities. From the minute we entered the Crosby House we knew we were in for a treat. It was raining outside but the inn was warm and cozy. Fireplaces were lit and the smell of freshly made apple cake aroused our taste buds. Our room had a fireplace and the softest sheets I have ever slept in. This stay was right in the middle of our seventeen day trip to New England for the fall colors and it was the best B&B we stayed at for our entire trip. Great food too! Don't miss a stay here if you can help it.

We have stayed at many B & B's over the years and this is one of the best! Lynn & Rick make you feel welcome in their home. They have thought of everything to make your stay most enjoyable, including little things like a night light. Terrific breakfast and delicious apple pie! Our next trip to Vermont will certainly include another stay at this wonderful B & B!

1868 Crosby House was wonderful. My husband and I felt very welcome and the rooms were immaculate. I would highly recommend staying there and I will definitely be returning.
