Four Chimneys Inn, Bennington Vermont. The Glass Porch. Two solid walls of French-paned windows and doors flood sunlight into this beautifully simple Glass Porch which can accomodate 26 seated guests or a 38 person reception. Breakfast is often served in this dining room during summer and fall.
Room 10 has a queen bed and a day bed as well as a gas fire place and its own private french-paned glass patio.

This corner room on the 2nd floor of the main inn has three large French-paned windows, a queen-size bed and newly refinished hard wood floors that were original to the house. Our daughter graduated from Williams College and we chose to stay at The Four Chimneys in Bennington. (about 15 min from Williams.) The property and inn were beautiful and our stay was all-around fantastic. We extended the weekend and made a family get together out of it -- frisbee on the beautiful inn lawns, hikes on Mt Anthony and Mt Equinox, dinner at Pangaea in the cute village of North Bennington. Gathering for breakfast at the inn each morning was also a highlight. There was something for everyone as we got to select our individual breakfasts. The staff and innkeepers were very welcoming and rooms very clean. We highly recommend the Four Chimneys Inn.

The Inn was beautiful, and clean. The bathroom was big and clean. This is very important to my wife. The room had a fireplace and a Jacuzzi. The food was perfect. The staff was great. I could not have asked for anything more with my stay.

My husband and I stayed in Room 5 on the third floor just a few days ago. The Inn itself is completely charming and beautiful. It also very clean. I am a clean freak and so I notice when light fixtures are dusty, etc. but everything was spic & span. Our room had a gas fireplace, and an oversized Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were quite large. Our room and the inn in general was very quiet and peaceful. Extremely relaxing which was exactly what we wanted. I liked that the doors were opened to the rooms that were not occupied (because we were able to peak in). Plus, it made it feel more like a house than a hotel. I would stay in any of the rooms. Everything was even nicer than it looked on the internet. Usually it's the other way around!! I would stay here again in the future..in fact I definitely will!! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

Just a few yards from the main house is the wonderfully private, completely renovated, original Ice House. This unique guest room has two levels. Downstairs is the bedroom with gas fireplace, small sitting area and TV. Up the spiral staircase is a loft living room with a desk, TV and twin trundle bed. The bath which is downstairs, has a combination tub/shower. This room, with its brick and pine motif conjures up the comfy feelings of coming home to warm lodge after a long day on the slopes. Add $25 for third guest.

It really is a beautiful place to stay in. Its close to other states that are very close to drive to and the views are beautiful also. We look forward to our next stay at the Four Chimneys. They are very helpful if you need to know where to go site seeing. A number one place to stay.

We like to hike and appreciated the innkeeper's recommendations as well as places to eat in Bennington and beyond. We stayed 4 nights and the breakfasts were delicious, although the menu could have been more varied. We stayed in the Ice House which was close to the main room and dining room but provided some space from the other guests. The loft with its separate TV was a great space for our college age son.
