Wintertime is a magical time of year at the Four Chimneys. Snuggle by the fire, take a winter walk or enjoy many of the areas winter attractions.
Guests can gather in the living room next to a roaring fire in the winter or lounge under the awning on a warm summer day.

Four Chimneys Inn, Bennington Vermont. The Glass Porch. Two solid walls of French-paned windows and doors flood sunlight into this beautifully simple Glass Porch which can accomodate 26 seated guests or a 38 person reception. Breakfast is often served in this dining room during summer and fall.
Room 10 has a queen bed and a day bed as well as a gas fire place and its own private french-paned glass patio.
Four Chimneys Inn, Bennington Vermont. Room 2 King. This spacious room overlooks the front lawns and features a king sized four poster bed and wood fireplace which is lit from October to April. Marble bath has two person oversized marble shower.

This very spacious 2nd floor room has great sunlight from a large bay window with a view of Mount Anthony and newly refurbished hardwood floors. The renovated marble and tile bathroom boasts an antique pedestal sink and jetted tub with shower.
Four Chimneys Inn, Bennington Vermont: Room 9, King. The Carriage House sits just a few yards behind the main inn for maximum privacy. Guest quarters include a king-sized bed, gas fireplace and a newly rennovated bath. Very private and cozy!

This corner room on the 2nd floor of the main inn has three large French-paned windows, a queen-size bed and newly refinished hard wood floors that were original to the house. The large bathroom has an antique pedestal sink and standard-size tub/shower combination. Cozy and cute.

This large guest room has a queen bed and day bed, gas fireplace, private bath, an oversized jetted tub and plenty of space to sit and relax. We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful Vermont inn. The service was perfect and the room was ideal. I would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

It really is a beautiful place to stay in. Its close to other states that are very close to drive to and the views are beautiful also. We look forward to our next stay at the Four Chimneys. They are very helpful if you need to know where to go site seeing. A number one place to stay.

We like to hike and appreciated the innkeeper's recommendations as well as places to eat in Bennington and beyond. We stayed 4 nights and the breakfasts were delicious, although the menu could have been more varied. We stayed in the Ice House which was close to the main room and dining room but provided some space from the other guests. The loft with its separate TV was a great space for our college age son.

From the moment we drove up to this magnificent mansion until our last cup of coffee at checkout we had a wonderful experience. Clean, friendly, quiet, beautiful, delicious breakfast. Very charming. We will definitely be back!

Although this room is one of our smaller rooms, the charm of the ceiling eaves and lace-curtained windows overlooking the front lawns make it a favorite of singles and couples alike. In this room, there is an extra large, newly tiled bathroom with an antique pedestal sink and Jacuzzi-jets in the tub. You do need to climb two flights of stairs to get to this charming room.

Just a few yards from the main house is the wonderfully private, completely renovated, original Ice House. This unique guest room has two levels. Downstairs is the bedroom with gas fireplace, small sitting area and TV. Up the spiral staircase is a loft living room with a desk, TV and twin trundle bed. The bath which is downstairs, has a combination tub/shower. This room, with its brick and pine motif conjures up the comfy feelings of coming home to warm lodge after a long day on the slopes. Add $25 for third guest.

For all other cancellations, no-shows or early check out, you will be charged for each room-night that we do not re-book. A $25 fee will be applied to each reservation that we are able to resell for you. Please also note that Saturday night stays require a two-night stay. My husband & I had the pleasure of staying at this delightful Inn the weekend of November 4th. We were greeted by Lynn & her Mom who were just wonderful to us. In our room we found a bottle of champagne chilling in an ice bucket along with a small box of chocolates, such a nice touch! The next morning we were treated to a wonderful breakfast in the sunny & cheerful dining room. What a wonderful view of the property through the big bay window next to our table! We arrived a little early but were welcomed to help ourselves to coffee and juice which had already been set out. That evening, the Innkeeper called our room to make sure that we had received our breakfast menu for the next day and we had a most pleasant chat about how much we were enjoying our stay. We would definitely recommend this lovely Inn and are looking forward to returning next fall!

We found this wonderful place online and are so glad we did! A beautiful old mansion that is clearly well cared for, but maintains the historic qualities that make it so special. Our room was very spacious, clean and beautiful. My husband and I loved the fact that we could choose what we wanted for breakfast instead of having one-size-fits all like some b&bs. (and breakfast was delicious!) The restaurant was closed for dinner when we were there, but the innkeeper was most helpful in guiding us to other restaurants in town. We had drinks in the living room/bar which we found wonderful and relaxing. Love the Four Chimneys and will definately return!
