Arlington Inn

We had a nice time here. We had only one breakfast but had dinner all 4 nights here. The grounds are kept extremely neat...make sure you tour all that's behind the main building. Eric is a great chef. Liz is very low key/shy...don't think she's rude. Would go here again.

I enjoyed my stay in Arlington, VT. The inn was nice, the food was great, but the service left a little bit to be desired. I felt like I was bothering the hostess during both check in and check out.

We have stayed as many b & b's and this one was exemplary. The bed was very comfortable with upgraded linens, the room was very clean. We stayed in the Victoria's Garden room and the only complaint is that even with the windows open, the room was very warm-it really needs a ceiling fan! The grounds were lovely and the food was excellent. Should we come to Vermont again, we will be staying here, as well as recommending it to our friends and family.

We enjoyed a delightful visit at the Arlington Inn this past weekend. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We were in the area to visit the wonderful Peru Fair.

We chose the Arlington Inn because my husband's father and fiancee were getting married there. We chose the Old Squire's Gable for the extra space. Upon entering our room, we were immediately struck by a moldy and mildewy smell. Both a/c's were running, so we opened some windows to try to air it out. After about an hour, we noticed no change, so we inquired about other accomodation. We were offered "Sylvester's Study" for a higher rate. It was smaller but did not smell mildewy except in the bathroom, so we took it. After dinner, my husband began moving our luggage and copious amount of baby gear to the new room. After several trips, I returned the key to Elizabeth's mother. All she said was she wished she had known sooner that we did not want the room so they could have re-sold it. I was surprised considering we had been in the hotel the entire time, had just spent $80 in their dining room, no one said they needed the room or offered to help us move, or even offered a flashlight to get around in the dark. Sylvester's Study had a creaky bed, door to the bathroom did not latch but stuck badly. The shower curtain was partially covered in mildew. The room description says it has a private patio, but "adjacent patio" is more correct when we found other hotel guests using it. This room faces onto Route 7A so there is traffic noise. The other door opens directly into a hotel sitting room open to all guests. In the evening, you can the wait staff stack the silverware nearby. I would not describe the innkeepers we dealt with, Elizabeth and her mother, as "friendly." They were at times polite and other times seemed aloof or annoyed. On our final morning, we moved our breakfast table out of the sun. Elizabeth snapped at us to just close the curtains, that was what they were there for. The wait staff we dealt with at breakfast and dinner were all very pleasant young people, and the service was very good.

If you're looking for value in the Arlington/Manchester area, this is the place for you! We went for the upgraded king room with the whirlpool tub and fireplace and it was worth the extra money. The Arlington Inn's meals were outstanding, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and the garden in the back is a great place to relax. The only thing we'd add to the room is a small refrigerator to keep the Chardonnay and water cool.

My wife,and I had the privilege of a brief stay at The Arlington Inn!The accommodations were spacious and inviting!The breakfast was,by far,one of the best we have had at any time on our vacations,the young lady waiting on us was very pleasant,and efficient!Which brings us to our hosts,the Bergers,Eric and Elizabeth,who were simply the nicest couple,making it seem as though we had been staying with family! Our only real complaint,is that our time in this wonderful place was so short!But we will certainly return to this most hospitable inn,and for a lot longer stay!Thank you again,Eric and Elizabeth! Stayed in Lucinda's suite and enjoyed the apres-ski ambience of the dining room in the evenings. Service is outstanding

The inn is very relaxing and perfect for a weekend getaway. My wife and I stayed in our room most of the time just reading and sitting in front of the fireplace. It was a short distance to the outlets in Manchester and the breakfast at the inn exceeded my expectations.

We had a wonderful stay at the Arlington Inn. Our room was comfortable, although there were amusing aspects to it. The food was a special treat that we had not anticipated. Eric is a most talented chef! David, the bartender/waiter was very accommodating and patient with us. The entertainment was provided by Sammy and Marty, two resident ducks, one white and one black. We had a great stay, in spite of the rainy weather!

We have stayed at the Arlington Inn over 10 times~ usually twice a year. The service is impeccable- couldn't ask for friendlier environment!!We love the owners and all the staff...the food is amazing, and the rooms are cozy and beautiful. Each one has it's own unique personality. This is the perfect romantic romantic getaway- no matter the season. We've gone both by ourselves and with ouu family~they are always very accomodating. Highly recommended!!

Our 1st visit to a Bed and Breakfast, and we could not have picked a better place. We stayed in the Lucinda Suite, very clean, tastefully decorated and spacious. We loved the jacuzzi and fireplace, very romantic even for a couple that has been married 30 years!! The only draw back was the noise of the furnace, but that could not be helped due to the location of the room. We will probably return sometime in the future, most likely summer time and then it would be perfect.

Wonderful service, delicious breakfasts, cozy rooms, great location, beautiful ground! This was our second time staying here and we cannot wait for our third!

My wife and I wanted to get a way for a long weekend and stayed at the lovely Arlington Inn, in the Sylvester's Room. The room was beautiful the food preparation and presentation was something you see in magaizines. You could tell time and thought went into the preparation. The staff was just wonderful and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. All in all, we had a wonderful time away ... thanks you for the great weekend. We’ll be back!!!! The Meyer's- Iowa

We chose this inn based on its proximity to the LT/AT to do some hiking. After 21 miles we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The food was superb!

Everyone was helpful. The food was excellent and the grounds were beautiful. The room was absolutely lovely!

My husband, 12 y old dgtr and I really enjoyed the Lucinda Suite-very roomy and cozy. Skiing at Bromley was great fun. Dinner (1x) & breakfast (3x) at the inn were delicious. The comfort of beds and linens were not up to par with other bed and breakfast inns.

We stayed at "remember baker". the room was great and by booking with b&b.com we got a better room at a better rate than going directly to the b&b itself. I would recommend the arlington in to anyone that wants a cozy get away. There isn't much to do in arlington but manchester is just 10 miles up the road and has dining, shopping etc. The Arlington Inn is very professionally run and the staff is very courteous

We were traveling down 7A in Vermont, when we came upon the Arlington Inn. We had no reservations, and were greated graciously by the Inn Keepers. The food was out of this world and the service fantastic. The Inn is romantic without being pretentious. A great value!!

Our wedding and stay could not have been more delightful! Everyone at the Arlington Inn was warm and welcoming and the setting incredibly beautiful and romantic.

This was the place I took my husband prior to our getting married - it's romantic, cozy, has all the perks required, has terrific food, etc., and the prices are reasonable for any budget. And, when we did "tie the knot" they remembered and we received champayne and chocolates - now, how many places to do??
