We've stayed here three times. Excellent location between Accademia and Campo Santa Margherita but away from the tourist crowds. Nice rooms, good breakfast and Carlo is the best host you could hope to find. He's extremely knowledgeable and helpful and is fluent in English, French and German!
4.6 out of 5Very nice Bed and Breakfast
April 14, 2009
Ca Centopietre was a very beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of Venice. It central location was great for getting around in the city. The Breakfast that was served was fabulous, with may choices. The common area of the hotel gave a great feeling of the city of Venice. My wife and I booked our room fairly late during Easter weekend and had to settle for the smallest room they had, and it was small. All the rooms had there own bathrooms which is a great convience to have. The pictures that are shown on the website are pretty much right on. What you see is what you get. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone coming to Venice, but be sure to book early so you can get one of the much larger rooms. Carlo, thanks for a great time and all your help.

Great value in a conveniently located, reniassance building. Carlo was always there for great help this October. Good breakfast. Nice room/bath. Great for a non-touristy experience. We'll go back.

The room was very large, clean and comfortable and the service was wonderful. The owner goes out of his way to be helpful in every way and help with planning your stay in Venice.

Without a doubt Ca Centopietre is the best accomodation we have ever stayed in. We have stayed at some of the most famous hotels in Italy but Centopietre is the most confortable and welcoming of them all. We must compliment to wonderful Carlo.

Directions to property:
We suggest: as you get off the public ferry (line 1 or 82) at the Accademia boat stop ,stand and face the Accademia museum . Go right around the building and then take the first right on Calle Corfù and then Calle Contarini at the end turn to the left and cross the first bridge in Calle della Toletta the first to the right you are in Campiello Centopietre and Cà Centopietre. If you get off the public ferry (line 51 or 61) at Zattere, turning your back on the landing jetty, go right, then left straight after the Ponte Longo. Go along Fondamenta Nani for approximately 150 meters, until the second bridge, cross the bridge and you will be in Calle della Toletta the first to the right you are in Campiello Centopietre and Cà Centopietre.
Airport
-
Venice, Italy (VCE-Marco Polo) 6 miles
-
Directions to property:
From Marco Polo airport you have to take the bus to Piazzale Roma Bus terminal (around 20 mins.) and from there you have to catch the ACTV public water-buses (vaporetto) lines 1 or 82, direction LIDO, trough the Gran Canal (around 30 mins., 5 Euro p.p) and get out at ACCADEMIA, or ACTV line 51, direction LIDO, trough the Giudecca Canal (around 20 mins. Euro 6,00 p.p) and get out at ZATTERE. There is also a shuttle boat service called ALILAGUNA, that from the airport takes directly to ZATTERE (in front at the GESUATI church). It takes 1 hour and 25 mins. at the price of Euro 12.00 per person. It’s a long trip, but it saves you from going up and down from buses and water-buses with your luggage (especially if you have a lot of pieces).
