Nice big suite at a great price. The owners are charming and breakfast is excellent. We even got to see a newborn calf stand for the second time!

We stayed at the War Hill Inn for two nights in the Madison Room. The particular room was small, but cozy and comfortable. Our host Will was outstanding: friendly and full of helpful suggestions about visiting nearby Williamsburg. Breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. My biggest regret is not taking the time to explore the farm. If we ever return to Williamsburg, we will be sure to stay at War Hill again.

I feel like I've found a real gem of a place. I was a little worried since it was the least expensive place I found in Williamsburg, but the minute we pulled up we knew we hit the jackpot. The room was just right; not to big and not too little; just what we expected from the photo. Will, the innkeeper was a treasure, and the food was outstanding! Such a value!

We just got back from spending 2 nights at the inn (2 adults 4 kids). We stayed at the Washington Cottage and had plenty of room . The grounds were gorgeous and the inn keeper was nice, friendly and very helpful!
