My wife and I were looking for a place close to us that we could spend a nice week for our honeymoon. I am a history buff and she is more of a shopper, so the williamsburg area was a perfect fit. I have been to williamsburg many times in my life but have never stayed at a b&b. This was a first for both of us. We started looking online for B&B ' S in the area and found there are quite a few, and as we all know the Internet is not the most reliable of sources, we were a bit skeptical. But upon arrival we were blown away. Clean and beautiful inside. Wonderful breakfasts and kind friendly staff. The only complaint I would have is the outdoor areas are not in good repair. I can understand a rough winter but the views would be great if you could sit outside. Overall 5 star all the way.

We loved Jennifer! She hung out with us at breakfast and told us helpful tourist info. She served a great breakfast. Our room was spotless. It didn't feel like you were staying in someone else's house. We had privacy. They provided wine at market price, which we took advantage of. I loved this place and I may come back. You won't be disappointed!
Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Come again please!

My husband and I stayed for 3 days here and enjoyed our stay very much. Jennifer (The inn keeper) and the owners have truly thought of everything to get you settled in from the moment you arrive until you leave. The only reason I gave the dining a lower rating is because I thought we would get to pick our breakfast choices. Everything tasted very good but there were set daily menus. The B&B is small enough to customize breakfast or at least let you know what's for breakfast the night before. This way you can decline breakfast, if you want something else. The B&B is in a great location! Mins from Williamsburg attractions and lots of restaurants to choose from. Please check out the Second St Grill if you go! Great food and service! I would highly recommend this B&B!
Thank you for your kind review. We are so glad you enjoyed everything as much as you did. I am sorry dining was an issue for you, most B&B's are run the same way as ours with respect to breakfast. Most everyone gets the same delicious breakfast although we do adjust for dietary restrictions. If you are looking to order off a menu you might want to try an "inn" or hotel where they have a chef on staff. B&B's are a bit more intimate and tend not to have the flexibility to do a different breakfast for everyone.

I would like to pass on that Jennifer was OUTSTANDING. She worked with me in spite of an issue that arose in my schedule and made accommodations above and beyond to ensure I had a great time. I haven't slept so well in years! I definitely intend on staying here in the future and recommending the Colonial Gardens B&B to others. Thank you. Marvin Frazier
Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy you slept well and that Jennifer was able to help you out. Come again please!

Property was very nice and historic; hostess was very welcoming and friendly; felt like we were staying with family. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway. Wife was impressed they had "make up" towels in the bathroom, we've been to four and five star hotels and they even miss this detail.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We love that you noticed the details. Come again please!

We celebrated our Anniversary and loved it. The facilities were beautiful and Jennifer ensured all the details were taken care of. We loved our time in Colonial Williamsburg and this added a level of romance no hotel could have met. Breakfast was outstanding but the arrangements they made for our Anniversary were a step above. The bed was so comfortable, we slept soundly each night. Highly recommend such a great and wonderful place.
Thank you so much for your kind review! Congratulations on 34 years! We are so happy you enjoyed everything Please come back again.

Innkeeper was nice and accommodating. Not quite the luxury you would expect for the price. Very small bathroom that looked like it was the original and had never been updated. Was very clean and well kept but just a little deceiving website.
Thank you of your reveiw and we are so glad you enjoyed Jennifer's hospitality. I am sorry you were disappointed in our rooms we certainly do not want to deceive anyone which is why I wonder if you actually saw our website, In fact most folks comment on how the bed and breakfast looks just like the web site. We do hope you will try us again in the future.

The room was very nice and looked like the picture on the website. The innkeeper was very friendly and was very flexible if you needed something different than the norm. She was a pleasure to meet and talk to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the service was spectacular. We would definitely stay again if we visit the area.
Thank you so very much for your kind review! We try hard to please. We know when you go away you want as many comforts of home as you can have and a pleasant innkeeper as well. Jennifer, our assistant innkeeper, is a gem! I will make sure she see this review. Hope to see you again soon... Karen
