Hosts Jim and Kay made us feel welcome and catered to in their lovely home. Whether it was with a refreshing beverage upon arrival or a sweet home made dessert at bedtime, their genuine hospitality will be remembered. My wife and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary at the Speckled Trout, we had an amazing time! We awoke every morning to a gourmet breakfast from our sweet hospitable hosts, Jim & Kay. The entire house was perfect! Our bedroom and bathroom was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home. The garden in the back of the house is amazing, we would enjoy it every morning and evening. In the evening Jim and Kay provided us with tea, coffee and desert along with great stories of their travels around the world. We felt right at home. We can't recommend them highly enough, and we are already looking forward to our next trip back.

Fly fishing all over Alaska and as far south as Patagonia were just a start for Jim; he dreams of continuing the search for the big one wherever he travels. Hospitality is Kay's field. She owned a floral design and event planning business, an Alaskan Bed and Breakfast, and flew many a spine-tingling flight with an Alaskan bush airline. She is known for her gracious smile and enthusiasm.

Cancellations: Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice before arrival date will result in a one night's room rental charge being processed against the credit card as a cancellation fee. "No shows" (no call or email) will be charged the full amount of the reserved stay (1 night, 2 nights, etc.). Voice mail cancellations are not considered confirmed. We are sorry, but due to our limited number of rooms and the cost of preparing for your visit, we must adhere strictly to this policy unless the room can be rebooked.
