The Foster Harris House Cookbook is more than a collection of recipes. Inside, you’ll find guest favorites such as ginger scones and raspberry chipotle bacon, rustic comforts such as Mom’s meatballs and skillet corn bread, and elegant courses for entertaining such as spiced quail with cranberries and gingersnap cheesecake drizzled with peach bourbon sauce. All the recipes are brought to mouthwatering life by John Spaulding’s stunning photographs.
In addition to the simple yet sumptuous recipes, you’ll get to enjoy vintage photographs of the 100-year-old inn and lively anecdotes from the many guests who’ve enjoyed its refined country accommodations and who definitely didn’t go home hungry.
The Garden Room has a queen bed, private bath and freestanding stove. This first floor room is bright and has lovely views of the garden and the mountains.
