    Restful and Charming!

    December 12, 2011

As a working professional who travels tens of thousands of miles each year and stays in hotels/inns well over 60 days out of every year as well, I'm always on the lookout for accommodations that appreciate the weary traveler. Atherston Hall met my every expectation - from my charming room to the cozy breakfast nook and relaxing television room - Atherston is decorated to reflect its innkeeper's personal warmth and a sincere interest in making guests feel like family without being forward. For me, a great 'fixture' was Savannah, Atherston's well-mannered Labrador who sat dutifully in the hall while I ate my wonderful breakfast of maple walnut granole, fresh scrambled eggs & bacon and toast with fresh fruit. Her presence made me miss home & my four-legged friend a little less. If you're looking for value without sacrificing comfort, atmosphere and character, I heartily recommend a stay here. I only wish I'd had more time to see the sights and stay more than a day & night.
