Come right in to Steeles Tavern Manor, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.

Our Chardonnay Suite includes a queen bed, along with two wing back chairs and electric fireplace in the sitting room. The bathroom has a walk in shower along with a two person Jacuzzi tub.

Tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 50 acres in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley lies Steeles Tavern Manor B&B. Our 1916-built 5 bedroom Virginia manor house is located in a peaceful country setting, midway between Staunton and Lexington, with a spring-fed pond, walking grounds and babbling creek. The Inn's updated decor offers a warm, relaxing environment and has a wine theme highlighted with each guest room named for a wine varietal native to Virginia.

This was a wonderful experince. Each year we look for a place to get away for our anniversary. We love the Valley and try to get there annually.This year we had a problem with our reservation at another B&B due to the snow Melissa and Ray came to the rescue and really made our stay warm and relaxing. The house is beautiful, the area is beautiful, and Melissa and Ray are very special people. The breakfasts were delicious, the Happy Hour is fun, and we can't say enough about the chocolate chip cookies!

My partner and I both needed a little vacation time, and Melissa and Ray were the perfect hosts. I found it hard to believe that they had been managing Steeles Tavern for less than a year, because they hit every note perfectly. My partner has dietary restrictions, and Melissa did a fabulous job of preparing meals that were delicious, and safe for him to eat. We enjoyed getting to know Melissa and Ray, and other guests, during the Wine and Cheese hour. The food, the rooms, the hospitality - we could not have asked for better! We will definitely be going back soon.

Steeles Tavern Manor B&B was an absolute treasure-- Melissa and Ray made my husband's and my weekend get away so special and unique. We were most impressed with their attention to detail, down to a welcoming rose for the "ladies" on valentine weekend to homemade cookies and chocolates in our room to special non-alcoholic drinks for the pregnant lady (that would be me). Our room was cozy with big windows and a comfy bed-- My husband and I both slept more soundly than we had in ages. We would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Lexington area-- Be prepared to have one of the most memorable stays!!

I recently treated my wife and I to a getaway weekend at STM. We looked at plenty of B&Bs when trying to make our decision but chose STM because of its distance from Staunton, VA, the distance from our home and the amenities listed on their site. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and Valentine's Day so I wanted someplace special and Ray and Melissa exceeded our expectations in every sense. From recommending dining choices (and making our reservations) and which vineyards to choose to visit, their knowledge and enthusiasm for being innkeepers really shows. The rooms are spacious and the breakfasts were excellent. We really enjoyed the 5:30 pm Happy Hour that featured local wines and cheeses and gave us a chance to interact with the other guests which is what I think is very key to the whole B&B experience. We are already planning our next visit with friends so we can share the experiences we had during our stay.
