The Olde Staunton Inn provided my wife and I just what we we were looking for: a comfortable room in a charming Victorian era home within walking distance to town, a friendly host who made a great breakfast - far beyond our expectations of the typical Continental fare - and who was easily able to engage us in conversations about Staunton area and all it had to offer. Staunton was a great find for us. Will definitely plan on a return visit.

March 25, 2013
My wife and I stayed in one of the 3rd floor rooms--our friends were in the other one--for three nights in early March, 2013. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and quiet. When we returned in the evenings, we enjoyed sitting and chatting with our friends in the library. Breakfast could not have been better. (Ask about the unique dining table.) David took my gluten-free diet in stride. David is an attentive, easy-going host. We have stayed at a higher-priced B&B in Staunton, but will definitely return to the Olde Staunton Inn if we have the opportunity.
5 out of 5Wonderful Stay!
November 28, 2012
I was a little apprehensive as this was my first stay at a bed and breakfast (my husband has stayed at several in the past). Let me just say that David was an awesome host. Our room was large and comfortable with ample closet space. Breakfast was great and the options varied. I generally do not eat breakfast but the homemade quiche was hard to turn down! David was spot on with his recommendations - whether it was for local attractions or restaurants. We stayed for three days and only used our car one time. We walked to the Woodrow Wilson birth home, the theater, restaurants, shops, etc. We even felt safe walking home from the theater at 11:00 at night. We definitely plan on returning and give David an A++ for his hospitality.

5 out of 5If close to town is your need
November 21, 2012
Breakfast was supper, great areas to relax in with very good accommodations...only draw back was having to walk-up stairs to rooms...after having to walk-up outside steps. David was most accommodating with information about restaurants and directions to places to visit. The 1910 home was located close to downtown for easy access to all the shopping needs. Having a full house on our stay made seeing and talking with new people interesting. We would definitely return for the antiquing experience.
5 out of 5Great B&B close to Shenandoah
November 10, 2012
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful in suggesting hikes and dining locations, and the breakfast was great. Shenandoah national park is ~30 minute drive. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to hurricane Sandy (which was heading directly towards our home in NJ), but we would certainly like to return to complete our visit at a future date!
4.0 out of 5Very Good stay
September 01, 2012
We stayed in The Blue Ridge room, and the room was kind of tight and is the smallest room in the house. For the money, you cannot go wrong. The location is walking distance to the downtown, the breakfast food was great, and the host is personable and interesting, but not overbearing like some B and B hosts. Would go back again.
Innkeeper Response
It should be noted that these guests made an online reservation for our smallest and least expensive room. We regret if they felt "cramped";however, the room is exactly as descibed and pictured.(The Inn was at 100% occupancy the night of their stay.) The morning of their departure they chose to "sleep late" rather than take time to enjoy our extensive breakfast offerings. Instead they asked for "bananas and muffins to go", so we feel that any evaluation of our dining is inappropriate.5 out of 5Charming.
August 22, 2012
It was a quick, one night trip. The innkeeper recommended a place for us to dine - was very good. Easy to get to and parking was not a problem. Def. recommend and will use again, if ever overnight in Staunton again.
