I only wish we could have stayed longer. Misty was so very helpful and one heck-ova cook! We stayed in the King's Room and it was lovely. The fireplace created a romantic ambiance and the jetted tub was large enough for two people. The majority of the available channels were in Spanish, but it didn't matter to us. We watched Dr. Who on Netflix and loved every minute of our stay. Only complaint: The foot board of the bed sticks out quite a bit from the mattress, and we both slammed our legs on it multiple times when trying to walk around the bed. I had a nasty bruise afterward. (But this could also be attributed to our clumsiness.) All in all: FIVE STARS FOR DAUGHTER OF THE STARS. We will be back!

Our family decided to go away for Christmas. We chose this amazing cabin retreat in the beautiful mountain valley of Virginia. It was amazing. My children, 20, 14 and 13 loved it. Our entire family relaxed and really enjoyed the time together. The cabin is clean and big and the scenery is just breath-taking. We cannot wait to go back!!!

We stayed at the Daughter of the Stars in the middle of a trip through southern Virginia and were just looking for a nice place to stay in after a long time driving. While the food wasn't the best (the breakfast was for the most part), the room was lovely and the hostess amiable. Given that we are not particularly talkative, we didn't actually have much interaction with her, but she was able to point in the direction of some food in town. Not to say that there was much in Stanley, Virginia. There isn't, but that is no fault of the Bed and Breakfast.

My girlfriend and myself stayed here the other weekend. Our trip was planned last minute and we had no idea what to expect. When we arrived Misty greeted us and gave us a tour of the house. Breakfast both days was delicious. No complaints about Daughter of the Stars at all.

We spent 2 nights at the Charlet and absolutely loved it! It has 2 bedrooms and a loft, 3 queen size beds. AC, heaters, electric fire place, hot tub, grill and a big table on the deck. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking. In general very clean house. Skyline drive hiking is only 10-20 mins away. Definitely recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I decided to get away for a weekend and this was our very first time ever staying at a B&B. The room was fantastic with a nice big bed (I'm 6"4) the bathroom was clean and decorated for a fun little romantic get away. There was a fridge in the room with bottles of water and chocolate strawberries awaiting us. Misty was so friendly and nice. If you're in the area stay at this place. Only about 10minuts away from everything you'll want to do.

I was blown away at how beautiful this house was, the room, bathroom, and the size of the jacuzzi. The lady helping us was so nice and it just felt so comfortable. The next morning for the breakfast me and my boyfriend were blown away at the what she had put out for us, she even asked us what time we wanted breakfast ready and that we could stay a little bit later then check out since we woke up late, no one has ever done that before. I would definitely stay here again.

We blend a variety of fresh fruits along with other items to create our signature juice. Served in a sugar rimmed wine glass and garnished with a fresh berry, this delightful treat is a favorite of our guests.
